UnREAL Season 2 Episode 8 Review: Fugitive

Things can change quickly on the set of Everlasting.

On UnREAL Season 2 Episode 8, Rachel revealed the shocking truth about her past to Coleman, but is he really working with Yael?

Let's just say that Yael as a reporter was too obvious. She was trying to find out information about everyone. I'm really surprised no one on set figured out her game sooner.

It's doubtful it's the first time anything like this is happening. I hope that Coleman is somehow double crossing her. I don't think Rachel will be able to handle the repercussions of him working with Yael.

Rachel's story is heartbreaking. We've been wondering about her strained relationship with her mother for quite some time now. The dark turn was certainly unexpected.

Her mother is dead set on keeping her quiet. She'll go to any lengths possible, so having Rachel all drugged up probably felt good for her, but Coleman was the true hero by going to her rescue. It will all blow up if he releases the video of Rachel confessing to murder.

Yes, Rachel actually did that. I don't know what compelled her to admit to murder on camera, but it's there, and Coleman can use it to his advantage whenever he wants.

That's not to say he will. He has it out for Quinn, but that's because she's treating him like crap. There's a chance that if Quinn changes her tone with him he would start working with her.

It's difficult because Quinn wants to gloat about how his television career is over. The power seems to shift quickly on this show, so don't expect Quinn to be in power for much longer.

That said, Quinn running things makes the show infinitely more likeable. She's not the nicest person, but she understands what's in the best interests of Everlasting. Other people seem to forget that.

After the big shooting on UnREAL Season 2 Episode 7, everyone was on edge when Darius was nowhere to be seen. His meeting with Ruby was a good idea for him, but it sure seems like she's over him.

In her mind, she was ridiculed on national TV and that's not something she can come back from. It obviously didn't help matters that Darius was a bit worse for wear. He didn't look like the man he did a few weeks ago. He was far more vulnerable and that's a side of him Ruby has never seen.

She made the right decision by moving on. Whenever Everlasting concludes, Darius is going to be in the public eye. Trying to conceal his illness is going to get even worse.

I wasn't a fan of his return as the ladies voted out Tiffany. If any of that footage is used, it's going to raise more questions about the integrity of Everlasting. It's so obviously fake at this stage it's making it more difficult to get on board with the show.

"Fugitive" was another fantastic installment of this Lifetime drama. The show has struggled to keep things interesting this season, but the past few episodes have really been stellar. This one is a contender for the best episode of the series.
