Quantico Round Table: #TeamHarry

at .

On Quantico Season 2 Episode 14, President Haas' task force finally has their first mission, and it goes pretty badly. Between the high school drama and the failed first mission, the task force didn't make the best first impression on their supervisor – Clay Haas.

Below TV Fanatics Jasmine Peterson and Allison Nichols, along with TV Fanatic reader Meaghan Frey, as they discuss how Quantico's first one timeline episode. Join the discussion by leaving your thoughts in the comments.

What's your first impression of Clay Haas?

Meaghan: I love Hunter Parrish, so I can't say I'm upset to see him on my screen. However, I'm not really sold on Clay yet.

I feel like he is just going to devolve into nothing more than Shelby's next conquest on the Haas family tree. At least if she is going to sleep with another member of the family, let's switch it up and have her sleep with Madam President. Way more scandalous.

My loyalty will always be with Caleb for my favorite Haas, so I would definitely trade in Clay for Caleb back on a weekly basis in a heartbeat.

Jasmine: I like him. There is something about him that intrigues me. However, I do agree with Meaghan. I'm afraid he'll end up one more Haas for Shelby to conquer. I just don't want to see that again. Curse Shelby and her Haas addicted hoo-ha.

Allison: I do like Clay. I’m happy for some fresh blood in the mix.

Like Meaghan and Jasmine, I’m worried that he and Shelby will end up being a thing, and they’ve already had some shipper moments. I had a moment of, “awww,” and then I realized that Shelby has already been with two Haas men. Let’s pass on that.

There are so many more entertaining things that Shelby can do aside from Haas men.

First episode in one timeline, what were your thoughts? Happy with the switch?

Meaghan: Very happy with the switch to one timeline. Quantico simply wasn't capable of handling the writing for both anymore, so hopefully, this will solve a lot of those issues.

I will say I was a tad bit disappointed with the episode in general. I was hoping for more of a Covert Affairs vibe with their missions. I'm still intrigued by the concept, though, so I will hold off on final judgment for a couple more weeks.

Jasmine: I'm so happy with one timeline. Thank God. That being said, the episode overall could have been stronger.

Ohhh, I totally would have been game for some Covert Affairs type of action. Hopefully, they'll really dig into the missions and give us that.

Allison: Now I want Quantico to be more like Covert Affairs. That would be amazing.

I am happy that we are down with one timeline, but there was so much drama in the hour. I’m hopeful that the show will improve, though.

Newcomer - Quantico Season 2 Episode 14

Does Harry deserve a spot on the task force?

Meaghan: Um is that even a real question on this round table? Our love for Harry is well documented.

His experience as an MI6 operative could bring a different perspective to the task force. Plus, this is an international issue, and they are handling it on a national level right now. Wouldn't it be a good idea to make use of international relationships?

Jasmine: Is the Pope Catholic? Harry is easily the most enjoyable character this entire season. I squealed when I saw him and grinned like an idiot every time he was onscreen.

His experience is unparalleled, and he's amazing at what he does. He's a definite asset. Hell, he's arguably better than some of the others on the task force. And yeah, why not have an international agent on the team?

Allison: I did not even think of the international angle. Harry would definitely be an asset to the task force. Hopefully, Alex will continue working with Harry on the task force missions. I would love to see the two of them working together again.

Albey Back Together At Last - Quantico Season 2 Episode 14

Any theories as to who could be killing Farm recruits and why?

Meaghan: I would put my money on a former CIA recruit who didn't cut it on the farm and now is back for revenge. I just wish this storyline wouldn't be coming up right now.

We already have the big mystery of who is responsible for stealing "the cache," we don't need another one. Maybe that is their replacement for the multiple timelines, multiple mysteries.

Jasmine: Oh yeah, that. Hell, I have no idea. Is it wrong if I say, I don't really care? Quantico throws so much at us, that sometimes I kinda stop caring, and I just wait it out. I'd guess a bitter ex-recruit, too.

Allison: I have no idea. I want it to somehow be connected to the AIC storyline because I don't have the patience to sit through some random mystery. Let's not throw twenty new mysteries in the mix just because we're down to one timeline.

Who was the MVP of the Hour?

Meaghan: Claire Haas. Putting her presidency on the line to get things accomplished with the best looking covert ops task force out there? She gets a gold star for this one.

Jasmine: Not to be predictable, but Harry. He nailed that undercover bit. He had some of the best lines too. I just really love Harry, okay?

Allison: Harry for sure. He brought a smile to my face, and he saved Alex's ass.

Quantico Season 2 Episode 14 Quotes

Alex: You know, you would think that a top secret task force like ours would have some perks - helicopter maybe.
Shelby: Well there are perks! We both get to work with our ex-boyfriends.

Alex: I forgot about the FBI's physical fitness requirements.
Shelby: [laughs] You may have gotten your badge back, but you still have to work for it.
