Westworld Season 2: Katja Herbers Joins as Series Regular!

at .

The news for Westworld Season 2 is all good, you guys.

The latest is Katja Herbers (The Leftovers, Manhattan) has been retained as a series regular.

Herbers will be the face of the first female guest who has come under the spell of Westworld and visits again and again.

Grace is the name of the seasoned veteran guest who finds herself visiting Westworld during the park's darkest hour.

That must mean she's been there through some of the action so far, but we've yet to catch up with her.

It will be interesting to see if they decide to reshoot any of the action we've already witnessed from a different angle, one that includes Grace's participation or featuring her reaction to the events that already took place.

Herbers is the third new series regular for Season 2 and the first brand-new cast addition.

She joins Talulah Riley and Louis Herthum, both of whom were promoted after recurring during Westworld Season 1.

Both Riley and Herthum played hosts.

Riley was Angela, the host who initially greeted William upon his entrance to the park and offered her services further into the game if he so wished.

Dark Secrets - Westworld

We later discovered Angela was found elsewhere in the park through memories of Dolores in various dance scenes and when she and Teddy went rogue.

Angela also played a pivotal role in the story of The Man in Black especially as he got closer to understanding the maze he was trying so determinedly to solve.

Herthum, meanwhile, was tasked with creating one of the very first sentient hosts within Westworld.

In the role of Dolores' father on the ranch, after the new programming rushed through his system, his glitches became unbearable, and he was "retired" to the dank, dark basement.

His scenes set the tone for what to expect as the other hosts found their way from robot to soul-filled beings, and his performance was mesmerizing.

Watching them and being so moved only to have him shuffled off to the basement was heart wrenching.

Discovering he'll be a full-fledged series regular going into Season 2 is the kind of treat we want from a show we're aching to see back on the schedule.

The bottom line is it's not out of sight out of mind for this HBO stunner, but absence is making the heart grow fonder.

The pain as we long for news is astonishing, isn't it?

Let's hear your thoughts on the latest casting news. What do you hope to discover from a seasoned female guest of the park?

What announcements do you hope with come from SDCC next week??

Westworld Quotes

The newcomers are just looking for the same thing we are, a place to be free, to stake out our dreams, a place with unlimited possibilities.

Dolores

Some people choose to see the ugliness in this world, the disarray. I choose to see the beauty. To believe there is an order to our days. A purpose.
