How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 3 Review: It's For the Greater Good

Annalise Keating is on a mission to redeem herself, but only where her career is concerned. In all other aspects of her life, she does not give a damn what people think of her.

On How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 3, the disgraced lawyer took on the pro bono case of Ben Carter, and it was a heartbreaking one at that.

Annalise Is Here - How to Get Away with Murder

Annalise knows how to play the jury, so it did not surprise me in the slightest that she would claim there was a bias against her client because of the way he looked.

She had to do something to get the ball rolling, and considering the man had tattoos all over his face and body, it was a good conclusion to come to.

However, nothing could prepare me for Bonnie, Nate, and Oliver teaming up to destroy Annalise in the courtroom. Granted, Oliver did not want to participate, but he did need to get some reviews on Yelp to help his business take off.

Nate and Bonnie love the fact that they can laugh at Annalise's expense. At one point, each of them was following Annalise around like a lap dog.

The Truth - How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 3

Now, they're free of her and probably feel like they have some independence because they are no longer under her spell. It's refreshing seeing these two working together, but that argument in the parking lot was everything.

Annalise felt betrayed, but what did she really expect when she left Bonnie out to pasture? Should Bonnie have just sat in her bedroom crying for the rest of her life?

There's a part of me that thinks Annalise would not have opposed to the Keating 4 wailing like kids for her to take them back. The sad thing is she would have probably taken them all back.

The revelation that Virginia had the evidence that proved Ben's innocence all along was a real shocker. That man spent 12 years behind bars because one lawyer failed to shed light on the footage.

I know she gave the whole schtick about being underpaid and overworked, but sitting by while a man is doing time for a crime he did not commit is just below the belt.

Moving On - How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 3

While it seemed like Annalise was losing control after learning Jasmine returned to drugs, I thought she was going to smack Virginia inside the office.

That scene served a more significant purpose. It showed Nate that Annalise had turned a corner and was trying a new approach. She was thinking of the consequences before striking. Will that be enough to get Nate back on her side?

Probably not, but it's a good start.

Michaela thought Laurel was losing it when she was asking her to get intel on her father, so I was ecstatic when Laurel presented her friend with confirmation about the plane.

It was enough to make Michaela think about the bigger picture. There's no logical reason why the plane would have been in town, and it's not like her father called to let her know he was in town.

She did conclude that Dominic was probably on the plane, so that proved Laurel realized it was too much of a coincidence to bump into him in the aftermath of everything that happened.

It is a bit of a stretch, but maybe there's more information she had at her disposal to conclude what was going on. Laurel has all the makings of a great lawyer, but will she be able to stay out of jail after the latest big mystery?

Michaela being reeled into the insanity was always going to happen. Despite her success at her new firm, she would not be able to live with herself if she did not help her friend get closer to the truth.

It's just a shame that Michaela ends up with blood all over her, claiming that everyone around her dies. It would be far too easy to assume she was involved in the scuffle at the hotel, so I think the blood she has on her came from a separate location.

What was surprising about the whole scene was that she was looking at newborn babies. Maybe she was taken to the hospital with Connor, Asher or Oliver and they were in a bad way.

So, she went to look at the children to see if it helped cheer her up. Hell, it could be anything. That's the beauty of the How to Get Away with Murder flash-forwards.

Which brings me to Connor. It was so obvious after the way things went on How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 2 that he would say goodbye to the classroom.

He's not been happy in the world of law for some time, so if anyone was going to quit, it was him. Even if the arrival of his fathers makes him see some sense, the chances of him returning to Middleton are slim.

He seems so done with everything right now that it would probably be best for him to take a year out and see if he wants to return to the world of education down the line.

All of the crazy situations the group finds themselves in have had an effect on him, and that's only natural. He's been so close to turning himself in multiple times now, and that proves he's remorseful.

"It's For the Greater Good" was a solid episode of this ABC drama series. All of the action is engaging, and there's something fun about having the cases of the week again.

How to Get Away with Murder Season 4 Episode 3 Quotes

Laurel: Michaela.
Michaela: Leave me alone.
Laurel: Slow down, I'm pregnant.
Michaela: That's why we can't do this.

Laurel: All you have to do is access my father's account. It's called Antares. You just have to find some activity that we can leak to the STC or FBI.
Michaela: Oh, my god.
