Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 14 Episode 1 Review: The Cleveland Show

It's still a full-time job to keep up with the Kardashians.

Keeping Up with the Kardashians Season 14 Episode 1 seemingly took place in April, before news that Kim, Kylie and Khloé were all expecting babies took over the Internet, and Pepsi was the family's biggest concern.

In addition to Kendall finally addressing that soda commercial, the Season 14 premiere gave fans a look inside Khloé's relationship with her boyfriend, Cleveland Cavalier Tristan Thompson (and the city of Cleveland), and reignited Caitlyn Jenner's family feud.

Moving On - Keeping Up with the Kardashians

But first, the premiere kicked off with The Hollywood Reporter cover shoot that celebrated 10 years of KUWTK.

It almost seems like it's been 100 years.

Khloé

Footage from the photoshoot, which does not include Rob or Caitlyn, also opens the show's new intro/theme.

Kim and Kourtney want to know more about Khloé's life in Cleveland, especially after she reveals she might spend the summer there with Tristan. As a result, Kim, Kourtney, and Malika decide to go with her on a trip to Ohio.

Let's be the Cleveland show!

Mason

On the plane private jet there, Kim begins to see news stories about Caitlyn's memoir, including one about her getting gender reassignment surgery. Kris breaks down when she sees the news, and Malika (perhaps to get more screen time) is the one to calm her down on FaceTime.

I'm not talking to you because you're a bad, mean person.

Khloé

The family makes it very clear that their issue with Caitlyn is not because of her transition, but because she does not communicate anything with them and is "mean."

Kim claims that the advanced copy of Caitlyn's book, which Cait gave her to read as a heads up, was missing a lot of information.

In addition to the gender reassignment surgery info, the latest copy of the memoir had a story about their father Robert Kardashian telling then-Bruce he knew that OJ Simpson was guiltily and only defended him to get back at Kris.

Kim: Dad so believed in him.
Kourtney: Like to sell a book? You're going to make something up?

Kourtney, Khloé, and Kim make it clear that the story isn't true, and I find it ironic this episode aired the day OJ was released from prison. I wonder if he's watching!

Meanwhile, in Cleveland, Khloé and Tristan's friends talk about setting up Kourtney with Kevin Durant. (Golden State Warriors fans cannot be happy about this potential duo).

The group also plays "truth or truth," instead of "truth or dare," and Kourt reveals she would have another child with Scott one day if the timing was right... I hope new boyfriend Younes Bendjima isn't watching!

Speaking of babies, Khloé is also put in the hot seat, and admitted she hopes to have kids with Tristan but doesn't know when. Spoiler alert: the time is now!

Tristan and I, within the next 70 years, we will hopefully have kids together. And if not? It will just be him and I, clubbing it up, rosé all day.

Khloé

Khloé gives her sisters a tour of Tristan's house, and they quickly discover it's Tristan AND Khloé's house when they see her side of the closet and hear about her renovation plans.

I wonder how the city of Cleveland felt about the Kardashians invading for a few days, especially after the Hamptons had such a negative reaction a few years back. They should probably be thanking them for the free press because I've never had a desire to visit "The Land" before.

Kardashians Cleveland

Khloé and Tristan's relationship seems to be solid, but I always thought Lamar was her soulmate, so who knows if these two will make it.

Taking a cue from Life of Kylie, this episode included a lot of footage from the girls' Snapchats. I personally think these clips are distracting. And unnecessary because fans already follow the family on social media.

Elsewhere in the episode, Kendall's controversial Pepsi commercial debuts and the backlash begins.

Kendall Pepsi

The model explains that she trusted Pepsi because of the other famous faces who have been featured in Pepsi commercials like Michael Jackson, Britney Spears, Pink and Beyoncé.

However, AFTER the response to the commercial was so negative, Kendall understood what was wrong with the ad. (Kris Jenner must have been too busy to go to the shoot and investigate the project).

I completely shut down.

Kendall

I understand Kendall didn't write, produce or come up with the concept behind the commercial, but it's hard to feel bad for someone when they only apologize after receiving such negative attention.

Kim calls Caitlyn to make sure that she won't say anything too controversial on her book tour about Kendall's commercial because Caitlyn is known to "always say the wrong thing." Despite Kim's warning, Cait talks about Kendall in an interview and upsets her even further.

I just felt so fucking stupid. The fact that I would offend other people or hurt other people was definitely not the intent. And that's what got me the most.

Kendall

And it seems like Cait hasn't learned her lesson yet since she reportedly confirmed Kylie's pregnancy in the media last week. Kimmy cannot be happy with her!

In the end, whether you love, hate or love to hate the Kardashians, it's safe to say there is still plenty of drama happening to keep people entertained on Sunday nights while Game of Thrones is on hiatus.
