CBS All Access Orders Dark Kevin Williamson Drama to Series!

If you're a fan of Kevin Williamson, then we have some good news for you.

According to Deadline, CBS All Access has handed out a series order to Tell Me a Story, a psychological thriller with a dark fairytale twist.

CBS All Access was allegedly one of many outlets interested in making the series a reality, but the show now has a home with a straight-to-series order.

The pilot will be written by Williamson and will be set in New York City.

According to the report, "the first season of this serialized drama interweaves “The Three Little Pigs,” “Little Red Riding Hood,” and “Jack and the Beanstalk” into an epic and subversive tale of love, loss, greed, revenge and murder."

The new series is based on a Spanish format that was created by Marcos Osorio Vidal, in association with Gustavo Malajovich and Hernan Goldfrid.

Williamson will executive produce with Kapital Entertainment’s Aaron Kaplan and Dana Honor.

Williamson is probably best known breathing new life into the horror genre with the Scream franchise, and for bringing Dawson's Creek and The Vampire Diaries to life on the small screen.

The series is a big win for CBS All Access which is looking to expand its original offerings in order to drive subscriptions up.

Tell Me a Story joins a roster of series that includes Star Trek: Discovery, The Good Fight, No Activity, $1, Strange Angel and a Twilight Zone reboot.

It was announced earlier this year that All Access would make its way around the globe, though it's unclear what this will mean for the streamer's scripted offerings that already have a home abroad.

For example, Star Trek: Discovery is shown by Netflix internationally around the globe, and that deal is said to recoup the show's entire budget.
