SMILF Season 1 Episode 7 Review: Family-Sized Popcorn & A Can of Wine

Making good decisions is a trait not many people have.

Bridgette's terrible decisions finally caught up with her on SMILF Season 1 Episode 7 when her car was towed away after parking in a restricted zone.

Bridgette in Trouble - SMILF

She needs to take a step back before making a decision, and think to herself, "What's the worst that could happen?" The car being impounded was just a matter of time.

While you would think the shock of losing the car would have made Bridgette think about how she came to be in that situation, she followed it up by asking some dude to drive her, Larry and Eliza to get the car.

Eliza put it perfectly when she called Bridgette out on her actions. There's no telling what could have gone wrong if she was alone and getting in that car. The man definitely masturbated to Melania Trump in his spare time.

Bridgette's Latest Mistake - SMILF Season 1 Episode 7

The picture of the First Lady of the United States taped to the inside of his car confirmed as much. Bridgette is naive, and it would be helpful if somebody coached her on what's right and what's wrong.

It was only natural that she would worry about being a lousy mother to Larry. Potty training is no easy task, and being a first-time mother, Bridgette found it especially difficult.

Being the great friend she is, Eliza recognized Bridgette was hurting, so she wanted to help her out. Her pep talk to Larry may have proved to be a failure, but at least it gave us at home some laughs.

Eliza's Harsh Criticism - SMILF Season 1 Episode 7

The part of the episode inside the scrap yard was hilarious, but Larry helping bring Bridgette back from the depths of despair by using the makeshift toilet was rather predictable.

That came right after Bridgette had to cut some of her hair off because of Larry running off. Her day could not get any worse, so the only way was up for her.

Now that Larry is on track to use the toilet, she can focus her efforts on finding out what is going in with Tutu. There's more to Tutu than meets the eye and this episode solidified that.

She was obsessed with Edmond and created a reality in her mind in which Edmond sent her on a shopping spree to buy some things because he's such a good boyfriend.

In reality, her boyfriend was at home, and he was totally not Edmond. Tutu's relationship with Joe is distant. Joe never strays far from the sofa because he is not physically capable.

Tutu: Could you help me with where my cheekbones are?
Assistant: Look surprised.
Tutu: Well, that looked like you felt a little nauseous.

The scene with Tutu bathing Joe illustrated how done with the relationship Tutu was. There's a severe disconnect between them in the romance department, and sometimes it's a simple thing that can reignite passion.

It seems in this case, Joe putting his wellbeing on the line to get upstairs to reveal they had won a cruise from a scratch card. Tutu was taken aback, but it seemed to have brought her back down to reality.

Her irrational thoughts seemed to be a thing of the past, but there's no telling when she might go off the rails again. Either way, she needs to get help because she runs the risk of doing herself and others some serious harm.

Tutu Is Going Off The Rails - SMILF Season 1 Episode 7

Everyone gets mad about their life at times. Not everything goes the way we expect it to, but this does not seem like an isolated incident for Tutu. She did try to weigh herself down with rocks at one point, too.

What surprised me was that nobody around her noticed her change in attitude. I do think Joe felt embarrassed at having to be washed by his partner, and he could see the look of despair in her eyes.

It was cute of him to make his way up the stairs, but it seems like he knew something was going on and realized he could not live without Tutu.

"Family-Sized Popcorn & A Can of Wine" was another episode of SMILF that shed more light on the characters. Rafi took a back seat this week, but hopefully, we find out how he's feeling after what happened to him on SMILF Season 1 Episode 6

It's hard to believe we have just one episode of SMILF Season 1 remaining, and it's one we'll have a little longer for thanks to the holidays.
