The ratings are in CBS' Young Sheldon (11.2 million/1.7 rating) took a hit without an original installment of The Big Bang Theory as its lead-in.

Diminished ratings are to be expected at this time of year given that most people are probably under the impression their favorite shows are taking a break for the holidays.

Mom (9 million/1.4 rating) and Life in Pieces (6.8 million/1.1 rating) were both in line with their most recent ratings, while S.W.A.T. (6.3 million/1.1 rating) perked up to match a demo high.

Over on NBC, Great News (2.7 million/0.5 rating & 1.8 million/0.4 rating) returned without the rest of the NBC comedy line-up and was doubled up, so it was no surprise that the ratings were very low.

What do you think of the ratings? Is NBC burning off Great News at this stage?
