TV Ratings Report: The Bachelor, Lucifer & The Gifted Return Low

The ratings for New Year's Day are in, and maybe the broadcast networks should have opted against original programming.
ABC: The Bachelor (5.5 million/1.5 rating) topped the night, but its demo tally came in almost 30 percent below 2017's opener of the hit reality series.
An encore of The Good Doctor (4.2 million/0.7 rating) topped he 10 pm time period.
Fox: Lucifer (3.1 million/0.7 rating) and The Gifted (2.5 million/0.7 rating) both hit lows. The Gifted needs to pick up the pace for its final two episodes if it wants to return for Season 2.
The CW: Valor (0.8 million/0.2 rating) managed to hold on to its demo average, but its total viewer count was low.
NBC: The Wall (4.3 million/0.8 rating) and Better Late Than Never (4.2 million/0.7 rating) filled the night for the peacock network.
