Jennifer Lopez is making her way back to the land of Will & Grace.
In a surprising move, the star will play two roles. One of them will be as herself, and the other will be the character she plays on fellow NBC series, Shades of Blue.
Yes, there's a double helping of J-Lo, and we're kind of freaking out about it.
Lopez previously appeared on the original run of Will & Grace as herself, and we're sure Jack will have a lot to say about her big comeback.
If you watch Will & Grace online, you will likely remember Lopez as the one who invited Jack to tour with her as her backup dancer.
In a hilarious twist, she decided he was not good enough for her tour and handed him off to Janet Jackson. Yeah, so it means things are going to be very awkward.
Lopez will return in a guest-starring capacity. Having her also play the character of Harlee Santos from Shades of Blue is a stroke of genius.
The move makes sense in the name of promoting another NBC show, right?!
Will & Grace is currently averaging 6.9 million viewers and a 1.9 rating among adults 18-49. The numbers swell considerably with DVR viewing factored in.
The revival of the show has been a success story for NBC, so it's no surprise that it's returning for another season during the 2018-2019 season.
It's unclear when the big episode featuring Jennifer Lopez will air, but given that Shades of Blue is returning in the next few months, it will likely be soon.
