TV Ratings Report: American Idol Surges
Paul Dailly at .American Idol has not been the big performer in the ratings ABC was probably hoping for.
There was some good news for the show on Sunday night. It secured 8 million viewers and a 1.8 rating, which is the show's second-highest ratings since moving to ABC.
With a stronger lead-in, Deception swelled 33 percent to 3.7 million viewers and a 0.8 rating.
Elsewhere...
CBS: Instinct (7 million/0.6 rating) and Madam Secretary (6 million/0.6 rating) were stable, while NCIS: Los Angeles (7.5 million/0.7 rating) matched its series low.
Fox: The Simpsons (2.4 million/0.9 rating) was steady, while Brooklyn Nine-Nine (2 million/0.9 rating), Family Guy (2.3 million/1.0 rating) and Last Man on Earth (1.8 million/0.7 rating) were both up.
NBC: Little Big Shots (6 million/0.8 rating) and Genius Junior (3.7 million/0.6 rating) were both steady, but Timeless (2.6 million/0.6 rating) inched up a tenth.
