Doom Patrol: Diane Guerrero Cast as Crazy Jane!

Doom Patrol has found its Crazy Jane.

Orange is the New Black veteran Diane Guerrero has been cast as the iconic comic book character for the upcoming DC Universe TV series.

Crazy Jane suffers from multiple personality disorder, and she will have a tough time adapting to that and becomes an unlikely hero in the process.

The biggest issue plaguing her is that she has 64 personalities and each of them come with a different power that could make or break whichever deadly situation the team finds itself in.

"Doom Patrol is a reimagining of one of DC’s strangest group of outcasts: Robotman, Negative Man, Elasti-Woman and Crazy Jane. Led by the mysterious Dr. Niles Caulder, they’re called into action by the ultimate hero for the digital age, Cyborg," the official description of the series.

"Banding together these rejects find themselves on a mission that will take them to the weirdest and most unexpected corners of the DC Universe."

Doom Patrol will pick up after the events of Titans which is set to bow on the yet-to-launch SVOD platform later this year.

The series will be penned by Jeremy Carver, who will also serve as the executive producer alongside Greg Berlanti.

As for Guerrero's future with Orange is the New Black, it's up in the air. Her character Maritza Ramos was missing from the sixth season, which debuted last Friday on Netflix.

The reason for her being missing is that she was one of many characters shipped out of Litchfield following the conclusion of the riot which put the prison on lockdown.

DC Universe will open in beta this August, with a full rollout set to occur months later. There are no definite premiere dates for any of the series in the works.
