13 Reasons Why's Katherine Langford Joins New Netflix Drama

Katherine Langford may be done with 13 Reasons Why, but she's not done with Netflix.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the actress will lead the cast of Cursed.

The series is told from Nimue (Langford's) perspective, a "teenage heroine with a mysterious gift who is destined to become the powerful (and tragic) Lady of the Lake."

Netflix placed a series order for Cursed back in March. Yes, we totally understand if you don't recall the series being ordered.

In this peak TV era, it's getting increasingly difficult to keep up with the latest orders.

Langford shot to fame with her role on 13 Reasons Why in which Hannah Baker, a teenager who committed suicide and left tapes behind about her decision.

The actress confirmed she was out of the series shortly after the sophomore run debuted earlier this year.

“For me, we told Hannah’s story so fully in Season 1,” Langford told EW.

“In a way, doing that scene in episode 13 [of Season 2], I’ve so often referred to it as it was the hardest scene because it’s the scene where I had to let her go. I think coming back this season was challenging because it was playing her but not really her.”

The scene Langford was referring to occurred in the 13 Reasons Why Season 2 finale. It focused on Clay saying goodbye to Hannah.

Hannah appeared in the church and listened as Clay paid his respects to her.

“A good friend once said to me, ‘I can love you and still let you go.’ So, Hannah, I love you… and I let you go. I miss you, and I hope that wherever you go next, you feel peace and you feel safe in a way you never did here. Wherever you go next, I hope you know that I love you.”
