TV Ratings Report: This Is Us, The Gifted and More Drop

at .

This second Tuesday of the 2018-19 season found most shows the downside week-to-week.

NBC's scripted sensation This Is Us slipped five-tenths to a 2.4 rating among adults 18-49, but it still led the night in the demo.

It's a force in delayed viewing and could fall a lot more before being considered in danger.

New Amsterdam dropped three-tenths from its series premiere to a 1.6. That figure is still very respectable and helped it win the hour.

The Voice also took a hit for the Peacock Network. It went down to a 1.8 rating in the 8/7c slot.

Meanwhile, ABC has sprung a leak with Dancing With the Stars. The latest episode fell to a 0.7 rating in its first hour and a 0.8 for its second.

New York, New York - Dancing With the Stars

The show is aging and airing two seasons a year as well as a Junior edition is just diluting the franchise at this stage.

The Alphabet network would be wise to scale it back to one edition per year and possibly air it to the summer where the competition is not as difficult.

An encore of A Million Little Things settled for last place in the 10/9c time period with a 0.5 rating.

Starstruck - NCIS

CBS had a mostly steady night with NCIS and NCIS: New Orleans keeping their week ago 1.4 and 1.0 ratings.

The second week of FBI lost just one-tenth and pulled in a 1.2 rating. That's a fantastic hold for a new series.

If it can stay around these levels, it will get an additional batch of episodes added to its order.

Over on Fox, The Gifted took a two-tenth hit to a 0.7 rating, matching a series low.

Reeva Disables the Inner Circle - The Gifted Season 2 Episode 1

This drama series really needs to pack a punch in delayed viewing if it wants to stick around for another season.

Fox is leaning on sports programming more than ever now, so it's getting difficult to keep some of the higher rated series on the schedule never mind the lower rated ones.

Lethal Weapon bucked the trend and held steady with last week's 0.8. Despite the loss of its lead, it's holding up well.

A New Partner - Lethal Weapon

On The CW, The Outpost fell back to a 0.1 rating. The series is unlikely to make the cut on The CW, but it's a co-production.
