As usual, Jake is there to help, but things don't exactly go as smoothly as he would like.

A New Look - Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10

You know what they say, the road to hell is paved with good intentions.

After seeing how heartbroken Charles is over Nikolaj's instant bond with Gintars, Jake takes it upon himself to get Nikolaj's birth father out of the picture.

And no, we don't mean he was planning to murder him, but his actual plan to get Gintars arrested was a bit crazy.

Terry: Doesn't that seem a little extreme?
Jake: Yes, definitely. But Charles just said he'd give anything for Gintars to be gone.

While Jake may have been taking things a bit too far, Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10 proved just how big of a concern Charles' happiness is to him.

Jake may be the class clown who has trouble expressing his emotions, but he is also the most honest and trustworthy character on the show. He always wants to do the right thing even if it's not easy.

Because of this, it was a bit surprising that Jake would do something that was so morally gray. But everyone has those people they would do anything for, and for Jake, Charles is at the top of that list.

It's no secret that Jake is at the top of Charles' list as well. Charles loves him so much; he's even passed the same feelings onto his son.

Hi Jake! I love you!

Nikolaj

It's also important to note that the friendship between Jake and Charles isn't one-sided or unbalance.

Charles has always been obsessed with Jake in a hilarious but loveable way, but Jake loves his best friend in return.

Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10 was just further proof that Jake shows Charles' importance to him through his actions rather than through his words.

Intentions aside, Jake's actions did cause unintended consequences for both Charles and his son. Nikolaj was interested in a relationship with Gintars and Boyle reached a point where he was comfortable with them having one.

Now that Gintars has left the country, who knows if he'll ever be able to come back?

We also have to talk about Jake asking Charles if being a dad was easy.

Wow kids are really basic. Is being a dad super easy?

Jake

It was more than likely just a one-liner for laughs, but we'd rather say it's a moment that made Jake seriously wonder if he was ready to have a kid.

Jake would be the most amazing father, and we can't help but keep our fingers crossed now that he and Amy are married and the series has gotten renewed for a seventh season.

Hopes and dreams aside, Jake and Boyle's final scene was a perfect way to close out Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10. They listened to what each other had to say, and Jake apologized for butting in where he didn't belong.

Jake: Wait a minute, are you mad?
Charles: Yes, because you butted into a situation you shouldn't have. You need to keep your butt in your pants.

Despite their disagreement, nothing could keep these two best buds apart, and now Jake and Charles have the hats to prove it.

And then there's Amy and Captain Holt. Another pair of best buds?

The two sure did act like they were joined at the hip, even doing a secret knuckle touch with each other behind their backs.

Amy: No one pushed Boyle down the stairs.
Holt: Right. We may have plastered his eyes shut and forced him to roam around blindly but he fell down on his own.

Calling in Dr. Yee and his blood sensing flies was essentially the same as meeting a celebrity for Amy and Holt.

Every moment they were around him they were utterly starstruck.

Hahaha! We made a joke together!

Holt

The dynamic between Amy and Holt on Brooklyn Nine-Nine Season 6 Episode 10 was not only comical but satisfying to watch.

Amy spent so much time trying to impress Holt and catering to his every whim, that it's a nice change to see how they interact when they're on more of an even playing field.

All Yee's appearance did was showcase just how much Amy and Holt have in common.

Rosa wouldn't be Rosa if she weren't following her gut, and it was clear that Amy and Holt were too blinded by Yee to accept that he might be incorrect.

But of course, Amy and Holt did not appreciate Rosa calling out their role model, even if she was correct.

Do you know how stupid these accusations are? Diaz, you're fired.

Holt

Overall, it's a good thing Dr. Yee came in as his flies did help Rosa trick her suspect into confessing to the crime.
