Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 10 Review: I Don't Want To Miss A Thing

The fourth alien is scary AF.

Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 10 was another answer-filled affair that helped the series regain its focus and sent the narrative in an exciting new direction.

It's fascinating that this fourth alien can take over the bodies of humans and the other aliens alike. It begs the question about who this mysterious person could be and what their ultimate goal is.

Alex and Kyle Work Together - Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 10

With the body count piling up, it seems like the killer never really stopped killing. The murders were mostly covered up, giving this person free rein to the people of Roswell, New Mexico.

That's not okay, and while it's surprising that this person has been on the scene for such a long time, we need to remember there's some mind control thrown in here.

Isobel has never been the best character on the show, and her actions have left many fans on the fence about whether she's one to root for or not.

Caught - Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 3

The struggle she faced putting the pieces together showed me a side to her that I never thought was there. Now that she's in the know about what this supernatural being did to her, she's going to be on a mission to prove her innocence for good.

The good thing for Isobel is that Liz concluded that Isobel got manipulated before Izzy even got to that revelation. Convenient? Totally, but it was much more satisfying than a doppelganger doing the rounds about town.

Wyatt is a horrible person so his actions earlier on Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 didn't raise any big questions, but Connor was well-known for staying on the right side of the tracks.

Both Cameron and Liz were quick to vouch for him, and I'm happy Liz realized there was something much bigger going on here than any of them could have anticipated.

Liz Finds a Clue - Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 3

It's probably easy to assume that we've met this fourth alien in the flesh. He's male, does not have a sense of humor and has no qualms about murdering people if they don't follow his order.

I'm at a loss about who it could be, and I hope the powers that be have a convincing way for the big reveal because I was pleasantly surprised at how well the revelations played out on "I Don't Want to Miss a Thing."

The only logical person I can think of is Noah. He's the nicest character on the show, he's mostly stayed on the periphery, and he's married to Isobel. It's plausible that he could be putting on the nice guy act offing people when his heart desires.

Noah: So, the egg froze you while Liz Ortecho found a way to turn you back into an alien after you tried to turn yourself human so that you wouldn't black out and murder people with your magic hand?
Isobel: I really prefer pod to egg.
Noah: Where are you from?
Isobel: We don't know.
Noah: So, Max and Michael, too. God, of course. There are cowboys and aliens. It's against the laws of nature, Isobel, I...
Isobel: I know.
Noah: Did you get in my head? Did you influence me? Did you make me love you? Did I even choose this sweater?
Isobel: God, Noah. No. I would never choose that sweater.

He got shot, and that could all have been part of his plan to make sure nobody suspected him.

Then again, that would crush Isobel to the point of no return. Back to the drawing board, it is, you guys.

I'll be keeping a watchful eye on Noah from here on out!

Isabelle Wants Answers - Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 1

The flashbacks worked very well in this installment. I started to like Rosa, and I didn't think that was possible. She was going through it all, and that scene with Isobel hugging her because she didn't know what else to do was everything.

It's bizarre, but it seems like this whole thing is going to bring Isobel and Liz closer together. Who would have thought it?

The active shooter did bring Liz and Max closer together. Liz was going out of her mind as she tried to make sure her love interest did not wind up dead.

Michael: This is my big secret.
Alex: Why are you showing me this?
Michael: If anyone's going to destroy me, it might as well be you.

It was the first episode since Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 1 that I felt the connection between Echo. Maybe all the hurdles along the way took away some of the chemistry, but it was back in full force after that life or death situation.

The biggest surprise out that scenario was that Cameron told Max that Liz was frantically trying to get inside the building to find him. Cameron did strike me as the jealous type, but she proved that she could be a good friend and keep things platonic with Max.

Making the Connection - Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 9

Maybe that's a sign that Cameron is working against the hero of this narrative. Who knows with this show?

At this stage, pretty much everyone knows about the aliens in town. Cameron was super understanding about it, and maybe that shows that she trusts Max. I don't know, but she appears to be interested in finding out what the frack is going on before it's too late for everyone.

Michael telling Alex everything was not a surprise. These aliens have loose lips when it comes to this type of thing. They managed to keep quiet for years ... until Liz reappeared in town.

If anything, this did help bring Alex and Michael closer, but the former still has a lot of things to work through. It didn't help matters that Michael and Maria got hot and heavy in the desert back on Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 9

Michael Tells All - Roswell, New Mexico Season 1 Episode 10

it was out there that Alex told Maria he knew about the hookup, but it highlighted just how close these friends are. My primary concern is that Maria is lying about her feelings about Michael. There was a look she gave when she said that there were no feelings there that made me think a love triangle is brewing.

As for Kyle and his trip down memory lane, I loved that he found out his father cared about him. Kyle has struggled with his feelings about his father, primarily because of all of the bombs that have been dropping about what he was getting up to before his death.

Now that he knows about this mysterious prison, he's going to want to investigate that. What I would like is for all the characters to join forces to investigate this prison. We need everyone on the same page before the season is over.

Can we go chase bad guys now? Hunting an alien murderer isn't exactly police business.

Cameron

Maria seems like the type of character who will learn everything down the line, so I wouldn't mind that happening.

"I Don't Want to Miss a Thing" was a solid episode of this CW drama. The show is gathering steam again as it approaches the final episodes of the season.

What are your thoughts on the fourth alien? Who could it be?
