Dynasty Recast: Daniella Alonso Replacing Ana Brenda Contreras as Cristal Jennings!

When Dynasty Season 3 debuts in October, there will be another new iteration of Cristal Jennings.
TV Line is reporting that Daniella Alonso is replacing Ana Brenda Contreras on the soapy drama, meaning that there has been a new actress playing a Cristal every season so far.
The report states that Contreras is bowing out due to "personal reasons," and that the producers are "excited to welcome Daniella Alonso who will step into the role of Cristal.”

Alonso is no stranger to the small screen, with roles on Animal Kingdom, Being Mary Jane, The Night Shift, Revolution, Criminal Minds, The Resident, One Tree Hill, and Friday Night Lights on her list of credits.
If you watch Dynasty online, you know that there's been a string of casting changes for a show so early into its run.
It all started when Nathalie Kelley confirmed ahead of the second season that she had not been asked back, admitting that she would not be returning to filming.
It was later revealed that Brenda Contreras would be stepping in as a "new" Cristal, and that happened during the show's second season.

This new Cristal got close to Blake quickly, and they hit it off from the get-go.
During Dynasty Season 2, James Mackay, who played Steven Carrington was demoted to a recurring player, while Nicollette Sheridan left the series entirely, giving up her Alexis Carrington.
It is expected that someone else will pop up in the role down the line, but still, Sheridan completely owned the role.
Dynasty Season 2 concluded with Cristal and Blake's wedding becoming a deadly event when two corpses were found at the manor.
It wouldn't be Dynasty without a crazy plot twist!
Little else is actually known about Dynasty Season 3, but it's been a long summer for fans of the series wondering what the heck happened next, especially after that grisly discovery.

What we do know is that the series will remain on Fridays, with the new episodes getting underway October 11 at 9/8c.
