i like Serena but Chuk is my favourite "hero". He's really a man and if he hadn't so bad, he wouldn't so intristing!

Serena reminds me of Claudio in Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing. Although she is aware of her base and irresponsible actions that are inadvertently or intentionally hurtful to others, much like the ones taken by the "bad" characters Chuck, Blair, and Jenny, she does not account for them. In the play, Claudio claims that he loves Hero, but by choosing to believe the slanderous lies about Hero's chastity, he ruins her in a heartbeat. When he finds out that Hero is virtuous and what he believed was all a lie, he takes her back without a word of much deserved apology to her. No matter what the wrongdoer has done, if a person betrays or intentionally hurts someone else out of retribution, that person is just as base and equally on the level as the wrongdoer. More so than others in Gossip Girl, Serena is socially irresponsible and opportunistic, most likely because of her inability to forget her needs and consider others when her interests are compromised.

What I also forgot to add to my last comment is that seems like everything you think Serena is is not only her but it's Blair too. Blair is also hypocritical and judgmental but she's way worse.

Serena's my favorite GG character. I don't get how she's judgmental? Hypocritical? Well unless you're talking about Rufus phone call to Lily in last nights episode then I understand why she did it so I wouldn't consider that hypocritical but judgmental? Really? she's actually the least judgmental character on the show. If any character is judgmental it's Blair.

I absolutely hate Serena. She is the biggest hypocrite and stands on her high horse judging people - when that's exactly what she used to be subject to. BAH it frustrates me!

I hate Serena. Blair, Chuck, and other characters on GG admit to their shortcomings and immoral behaviors, but what she does out of her anger or moments of impulse as excuses is despicable. Her self-righteous logic that she is above it all makes me sick. Her voice even annoys me. Blake Lively is gorgeous; her character on GG just sucks.
