Teddy Altman
Played by: Kim RaverBio
Dr. Teddy Altman is the Head of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Seattle Grace.
She previously served in Iraq with Owen Hunt. Although a skilled surgeon, her teaching methods can appear somewhat unorthodox.
Her arrival at Seattle Grace, followed by her profession of love to Owen has caused some friction between Owen and his girlfriend, Cristina Yang.
In Season Seven, she is branching out with a new story line all her own, involving terminally ill patient Henry (Scott Foley)

wow, i absolutly love teddy. i just adore her commitment, confidence, and personality. she is my role model. like this show and teddys character makes me want to go to med school and be a doctor when i grow up (im only 13!). is that even normal?! anyway, but i am SOOO sad about henry dying. she deserves to be happy and she was with him but not anymore! im hoping that somehow she and owen will end up together- christina has absolutly no business with him. they have nothing in common compared to teddy and owen. but i dont know if that will happen since i would assume teddy is going to be ABSOLUTLY pissed at hiim since he didnt tell her about henry dying while she was doing a surgery. i cant wait to see her reaction! it is going to be sooooo sad! i will prob be crying all over again... ;(
i think i have seen just about every youtube video with kim raver/teddy in them. ya thats how big of a fan iam! my friends say i have no life.... ya prob! but as i am reading all these comments, i am

Teddy is my favourite character for some reason... although the character appears bland she has alot of inner conflict that she deals with a moves on. She shows vulnerability but stays strong because shes on her own with no one (not even hunt - her former best friend) to look out for her.
I think I like her so much because I can truly relate to what the character goes through. Not the specific story - but rather the fact that she gets the short straw in nearly every circumstance; dont we all feel like this? Owen essentially tricks her into coming to Seattle only to ditch her for Yang, Yang shoves her aside in a split second for a better cardio surgeon (no loyal attachments), she's not the first pick for her own job when Derek is Head-of-Surgery and now shes looking for a loyal attachment in this new terminally ill character only to be screwed over again when she realises the heavy burden of responsibility that she is taking on!
She's being radical, because she's lonely and
