As for the cure, I really hope Damon does NOT give it to Elena. Obviously, Bex is going on the run to New Orleans, so it won't go to her, Klaus is down south trying to be King, so he won't take it... Caroline doesn't want it. That leaves Stefan, Damon, Elena or Katherine. I'm hoping for Katherine... that would be interesting and she's played out on the show already. I don't want whiny, damsel-in-distress Elena back. I wouldn't mind if Damon takes the cure, ends up human. Then, somehow and in the end, Elena gets cured. They are human together (this only is good if you like Delena end game, which I do). Stefan ends up with Caroline..they are so good together. End scene.
I did LOVE to see Alaric, I won't lie. But I am becoming increasingly confused by all the lore and myths and spells and rituals already. Remember when the sun and moon curse was the most confusing thing on TVD? Or back in Season 1 when it was just about vampires and a girl? I miss that.I don't know if Bon-Bon is actually dead...I don't comprehend the veil nonsense enough to even venture a guess on where or what she is. If I had to venture a guess as to who will stick around, I bet Jeremy. I'd be okay with that :-)
Totally agree that the dead need to stay dead on this show. Granted, it's only the dead that were supernatural in life that seem to come back (hence no return of Elena's parents or Aunt Jenna or even UncleDaddy John)...but, still. There is no finality, no stakes (sorry for the pun) to death. If the writers just keep killing and resurrecting characters, then death will mean nothing on this show.
Joseph Morgan is simply amazing every single time he is on the screen. He is amazing on TVD, he was amazing in Immortals...I just love, love, love him! And he's always been such a perfect "Klaus"...young and angelic looking, but can portray a cold evil that is shocking from a man that looks as he does!I am somewhat baffled by the baby. I get that the werewolf in Klaus was dormant until a year or so ago (in TVD time), so I understand how he wasn't knocking anyone up for the first thousand years of his life. But, now that he is an official hybrid he can procreate? I mean, he was ALWAYS a werewolf, it was just dormant. And can ALL hybrids procreate?
Finally, dear reviewer, a few things: So Silas wants the cure to destroy The Other Side and live forever. Nope, Silas wants the cure to take it, kill himself and be with his love. He made the 36 sacrifices destroy the other side so he can't end up there when he dies (as Qetsiyah intended) and can, instead, reunite with his love. Katherine wants the cure to kill Klaus.Cures can't kill (I hope). She wants to cure Klaus, make him human and then kill him. Well, that's what everyone is assuming. I mean, no one has heard Katherine say this was her plan. And Matt is pulling a double at The Grill. He'd have to be. He just inherited a mansion.
OH! And the random drop-in on the conversation with Bonnie and ShanewhoisnowSilas? Seriously? Shouldn't the viewers finding out that Bonnie had learned he was Silas and not Shane have been, like, a bigger deal?? I'm so done with the whole expression/other side/sacrifice crap. I think it was just to give Bonnie/Kat Graham a story-line, because the search and fight for a cure would have been plenty interesting on its own. Finally, I DID love every scene involving Caroline and Klaus. Joseph Morgan is just BRILLIANT every time he is on my screen and I am totally jumping on Team Klaroline these days!
As for Rebekah and Elena teaming up...meh. I like Bex but I am soooo over emotionless Elena. It was fun for, like, five minutes. I imagine the point is to let her do something outrageously horrible to someone she loves, then have her humanity return and she is all broken, lost and despairing Elena? And then what? Turn to Stefan or the sire bond returns and turn to Damon? Eh. It's going in a strange direction for me.....and I really had high hopes at the start of the season.
Weird episode. The flashbacks didn't say much about the decade. I get the point, kind of, that Lexie was there to turn on Damon's humanity because he was going off the rails....and it paralleled that Damon was trying to do the same thing with Elena (but, not really, because he was actually after the cure) But why was Damon's humanity off in the first place? And wasn't it kind of always off until he returned to Mystic Falls and met Elena? And, really, he was so annoyed with Lexie that he kept up a ruse for SIX MONTHS, slept with her, then tried to kill her? I mean, I get the point that the story was supposed to be a lesson to Elena about what NOT to do with your humanity off but....really? It seemed.....forced.
8. If Matt just inherited the deed to the biggest house in Mystic Falls, does that mean he can stop working at the Grill? I mean, maybe if he sold it? How will he afford all the bills associated with the upkeep? I guess he can sell the house he currently lives in, right? Honestly, I don't even know how he has enough money to keep THAT house...
7. What is Silas the Blood Bag Bandit's next move?More Bonnie brainwashing followed by attempting to complete the third sacrifice. Which I don't think has anything to do with lifting a veil....however, I am completely unsure of anything related to Silas I won't even bother to speculate...
