I thought this episode was amazing. Loved the lily storyline. Loved the mary storyline but so so sad. Callies new haircut kinds makes sense now. I think she goes to africa but comes back before AZ. The short hair would be easy to maintain without having to do much. Cant wait for next week to see what happens. So glad alex is sticking with peds
I think to Meredith and Derek their marriage is legal. I mean i think for them to now go back and say oh lets go get legally married would almost be to say that they werent really married for the past however many months and that if that happened it just wouldnt make any sense. Plus give them 10 years and it will be common law marriage haha :)
1. What was your favorite Grey's Anatomy quote from the episode?
I really liked hearing Derek's speech to Mr.Clark when he was pleading for his life. I think it made it more powerful that even McDreamy is only human.
2. Was this the best episode of the year - and/or the whole series?
I think this was the most intense episode of the year, it definitely had me waiting for more the whole time even though i had seen the sneak peeks and had a general idea of what was to happen. Out of the whole series i definitely have a few other episodes that are my favorites but this easily takes a second or third place.
3. Mr. Clark on the loose: Well-written and emotional, or contrived and manipulative?
While i do understand where people are coming from by saying that it was lazy writing and had no character development i believe the opposite. I think it showed some amazing character growth in subtle ways such as Cristina willing to risk her life for Derek, also Cristina breaking up with Owen instead of staying in a malfunctioning relationship. Meredith showed all kinds of growth by being happy about the pregnancy in the first place and wanting to share the news with Derek instead of running and hiding. Bailey although she showed her vulnerable side she brought herself back up and was able to keep her word in telling the truth to Charles about him dying. Richard not only refused the alcohol but dumped it out and stood up for " his hospital" also at risk of his own life. Callie showed Arizona that she is in love with HER and not just being in love and in turn Arizona let her guard down and trusted her which does not seem like something she does easily. Mark has just grown so much in general with the fact that he does not want to sleep around anymore and wants only Lexie. So i think there was growth in all the characters and cant wait to see how much more they grow next season. should be good!
4. What were the saddest and most uplifting moments of the finale?
Saddest:
Meredith getting excited about the baby and then losing it.
The whole Bailey and Charles storyline
Alex calling for Izzie
April finding Reed
Uplifting:
Bailey and Mary helping each other keep their composures
Cristina and Merediths friendship
Callie helping calm down Arizona and Ruby so that Arizona could do her job
Dr. Webber taking charge of the shooter situation
Callie and Arizona's reconciliation
5. Which actor/actress' performance was most Emmy-worthy?
Michael O'Neill, Sandra Oh, and Chandra wilson. They were absolutely wonderful in this episode.
6. Will Meredith tell Derek about the baby?
I hope so, she is going to need someone to talk about it with and while Cristina would be more than happy im sure Derek does deserve to know.
7. Does Lexie really love Alex?
I dont think so, i mean maybe she loves him but she is not in love with Alex. I definitely think it was a heat of the moment response.
8. Do you like voiceovers?
Yeah, i do actually. I dont usually notice them very much but its just not Grey's Anatomy without hearing Meredith (or someone else from time to time) as a voiceover.
