April is going to get Chief Resident, because the writers need to give April Kepner long lasting drama, since according to Sarah Drew, April is not losing her virginity anytime soon. Whatever is happening to her is professional not personal
If the writers give CR to Alex or Meredith or Cristina there won't be any drama because they have leadership qualities unlike April who would have a hard time making herself heard by the others.
I mean really do any of you guys see Alex or Cristina following April's orders as chief resident. All the conflicts and comedic situation that April as CR would bring.
@n@ncy it did made uncomfortable, because telling someone to stop expressing how they feel about something is censoring them. You don't have to read the comments.
I never believe that I would live to see the day were people in the free world weren't allow to dissent, but I guess it is happening, especially on this comment sections they are F*cking brutal.
This was the worse episode ever. Can I say that on this site, since there is always a war here? The music was distracted and it took away from the intensity of the plot.
This episode was bad, they should stick to what they know. Keep the music in the background and the actor should just act.
My guess Meredith gets an adopted baby, like the sides indicate and since Shonda last week said that MerDer are going to have a big storyline that is going to be launch by the Alz trial. I think Mer and Der are going to be having marital issues.
Alex gets Chief Resident.
Cristina is going to be pissed with Owen and at the same time finds out she is pregnant, but she won't be happy about it.
I'm sorry being trying to keep an open mind about this episode, because I thought is wasn't going to be a typical musical episode but seeing the sneak peeks, I don't see anything different from a normal musical episode. They all are singing in the OR, that is not part of a hallucination like they said was going to be.
To those who said that Meredith is making this about her, in case you don't know according to Shonda a small part of the episode is going to be about Meredith.
Something that could be explosive for Cris and Owen hmm?.
The Army calls Owen back to serve a tour in Afghanistan because they need more doctors in the Army, and he actually considers going back to war. That could put a lot of tension in Cris/Owen marriage and relationship.
Them getting marry legally is out legal necessity, NOT because they need to feel marry and committed to each other, because they already feel that way, they already marry in my eyes and in their eyes. The "post it" symbolizes their commitment to each other that goes beyond the laws of men. The "post it" is their wedding vows which at the end of the day is what count the most.
Making it legal is just a legal transaction and that it, they probably are going to adopt. So I don't think they'll have wedding of any kind they just going to go sign the papers at city hall and that it and go back to work.
However I don't think this is going to happen at all. Shonda loves the Post it as I do, and I seriously doubt that this is going to happen.
I find that all the sneak peeks and all the actors talking about the musical episode when they are interview, and all the articles and the release of the song list is making even more skeptical than I was before, when the musical episode was just an idea.
Shoot there is still one more episode before the musical episode and I haven't seem one sneak peek of 7.17 or even spoilers that is not given away in the description for 7.17.
Why are they giving the musical episode so much publicity? Its not even the season finale episode and it is not eve two hours long. So seriously how much drama and singing can they fit in one hour of television?
I think they are overselling the episode, and we might end up disappointed because of the expectation that all these publicity is raising. Just a word of caution.
Anyway I love watching Cristina, Alex and Meredith together, there should be more scenes with them, after all they are the heart and soul of this show. It is not the romantic coupling that make this show, is the friendships.
I have so many problems with this storyline that I won't even criticize it or complain anymore, what done is done and it can't be change. The writers already wrote most of the episodes for the season. I'm just going to wait it out and hope that the torture will end soon.
@Bee, I skinned through the list, thanks for pointing it out, though.
Thank God they are singing that one that is one of the best song of Grey's, even thought can't imagine any one else other than Brandie Carlile singing that song.
If April doesn't lose her virginity to Stark then this storyline will suck big time. What would be the point of Stark and April dating if she doesn't sleep with him. Just to have the same old story old attending with, young resident.
They are missing one song from Grey's my favorite, that defines the dark and twisteness from S3. "The Story" by Brandie Carlile. You suckers can't believe they are not going to sing that one.
The only thing that was getting me excited for the episode was the hope that they would sing the "The Story" now it sucks.
People Meredith didn't tell Derek about her eyesight earlier because it wasn't bad in the beginning. I have eyesight problems in the beginning you don't think it's a big deal, until it really bother you. I got the impression that in the morning she just couldn't see the small print on the plans and on her watch, by the time she got to the OR it got worse, and started to not see big things like the skull. I understand that Derek was pissed but he overacted, because between Mer and Der, Meredith shares her feeling and fears with Derek, more than Derek does with her. If bother him so much that she didn't tell him about her eyesight then he should told her so and not go to the roof and whine about it.
A word of advice have low expectation with MerDer, the promo are deceiving. Just because the promo have a lot of MerDer doesn't mean that there will be lot of MerDer on the episode, be aware of that and you won't get disappointed.
Men Arizona said exactly what most people were saying about the CAM baby storyline. Is like the writers are reading the audience's mind. I said Amen to that Arizona.
Welcome to the world Jaxie. I hope it last, but it looks awfully a lot like Alexie.
Love MerDer tonight, Meredith was hilarious, but she should take her vision problems more seriously.
Adele is so going to have Alz or some sort of dementia the two loves of Richard's life to end up demented that is effed up.
Now what surprise me, the most was Stark asking April out and she accepting. Wow. Creepy much.
Mark is so desperate to have a baby, as if he were a woman who biological clock is tick away. Mark is man he can have kids well into his 90s so I don't understand why he is rushing into having kids. Mark doesn't even consider waiting for Lexie to get ready.
My biggest problem with this storyline is Mark's desperation to have a baby. Is not like he a woman who one day won't be able to have kids anymore because of menopause.
I too love Arizona telling Mark that Callie and her are in relationship that doesn't include him and while the baby is his, Callie and Arizona have say as well, he can't just impose his opinion on both Callie and Arizona.
This clip reminds me how much I miss George he was hilarious and Nazi Bailey, you know the truth teller Bailey. The Bailey of today has nothing on that Bailey.
Exactly however negative or positive we might feel about episode, it is certainly getting lots of buzz, when people say that are dreading it, they will watch out curiosity.
I'm not excited about the episode mainly because I don't know how is going to work and can imagine how its going to look or fit in the grand scheme of the show. Shonda said it is not a traditional musical kind of an episode, but what other way can you make a musical episode, if not traditional with people singing and dancing jazz music and what not.
The fact that most fans of Grey's think that its a competition on who is the better character, when is NOT a competition. They are all good characters, some people like a character more than others. Some hate a character while love other characters. Just because some people a hate characters doesn't make them bad characters.
Hey started watching this show because of Meredith, but then I realize that while she is my favorite character, she can't be the only character with a storyline, because she a has never been a the only character with storyline center around her.
Callie has storyline now while the storyline is a repeat of last season storyline, it is full circle storyline. Callie spend all of last season wanting a baby, even offered herself without consulting Arizona to raise Mark's grandkid. Now she is getting the baby she didn't get to raise last season with Mark and she got the baby without consulting Arizona. The result will probably be different than last season, but that doesn't mean the it will be all peachy and rosy.
All character have the right to have drama. I learn that in S5 with Izzie and dead Denny and guess what I enjoy the show more. After all this is a drama series and the only way to get lots of Meredith, it is they go back to how she was back in season 1-4, all depressed and scare and no thank you. Let Callie have her drama and her cray hormonal scene and her heartache and what not.
