You never know with HIMYM, but I would kind of like it if Barney married Quinn. The show could do with some new blood - and Robin is supposed to have a thing in the future with the guy from the clothing store, so maybe he will be the love of her life. Also, Barney wants to be a father and Robin doesn't want children, which is (yet) another reason why they may not work as a couple. Also, at the wedding, Lily says "Ted, the bride wants to see you" in a way suggesting that she has no idea why the bride would want to see Ted of all people. If the bride is Robin, Ted would most likely be her best man, so her wanting to see him would only be natural. Hence: Quinn (or some chick we haven't met yet. Or Nora!). I'm actually warming to the name Hurricane, so I hope it's still on the table! :P
Are we sure she will even keep the baby? Robin doesn't want kids, remember... But I do hope she changes her mind now that she's pregnant.
So far this season has been very good, but this episode felt like a side-step or intermission entertainment. Nothing new was said that hasn't already been thorougly gone into in the previous three episodes of the season. I was also quite shocked and disgusted that a hugely popular show like HIMYM think it's OK to promote drinking during pregnancy. All scientific data suggests that total abstinence is the best for the baby - and if there is any doubt about the consequences, it's always best to be on the safe side. Perhaps it's normal to drink during pregnancy in the US, but here in Norway this is strongly discouraged.
Penny needs to come back! She provides a balance to the guys, and she is such a cool character.
2: Incredibly lame gimmick! I found myself bored, and didn't get moved and drawn in as I usually always do with Grey's. The stories with the man with the arms, the girl Lily and Mary were all good patient stories, but they could have been so much more if they had been shown in the usual Grey's way. 3: Lily and Karev - I love seeing him work with children, those are always my favourite cases. Karev has got such a good mix of soft and hard in his character, and has an incredible amount of hidden emotion shining through now and then. 4: Yes, I think they'll make it. 5: Cristina needs to come back in some way soon, the staring and being quiet is getting a bit old. I think perhaps she might respond better than she has till now if she's put in an extreme situation where she just has to "snap out of it", if that's possible. Conclusion: I'm really hoping for good, old-fashioned episodes from next week!
Bieste was great - it was surprising and good to see such a tough woman show so much emotion. The teachers are really interesting - as a teacher myself I think it's really cool that Glee shows them as characters with all kinds of issues on their own - not just as related to the students. As for Mike and Tina, they've not yet become deep characters, like Finn, Rachel, Quinn, Kurt, Will, Sue and so on. Mike never says a word and just does his dance moves - so I think he's boring. Tina faked a stutter, and that's basically all we know about her. Teenage girls can be quite shallow when choosing boyfriends (=abs), but then it normally doesn't last either. But, does she need to have a boyfriend? Perhaps Tina could be explored as a character without a boy attached. ;)
HOT! Bailey deserves to be seen as a woman (finally!!!), no matter if it brings yet another character into the show. :D
Amanda, I totally agree with you. That's the exact feeling I had after downloading and watching the PP episode today. It's too much of a coincidence that Sam and Miranda have chemistry and he suddenly turns out to be a cardio surgeon. Also, he's barely had a storyline the last season, he's just there in the background, never doing anything about his life, as Miranda pointed out. Besides, him leaving for Seattle would make room for Naomi coming back to Oceanside. Did anyone else find it sad that Bailey had to cross over to PP to become Bailey again? I miss her old energy on Grey's!
Angela, I agree with your comments about Derek. As to the "very Mer way", isn't it quite possible that it is that she takes off and no one hears from her for a couple of episodes? That way, the whole pregnancy/maternity leave issue would be solved. I agree with everyone who thinks the first double episode will be sad, perhaps the saddest one ever on Grey's. But the fact that sweet, good George is dead will definitely not stop me from watching! There are so many other great characters and stories to look forward to. Personally, I can't wait to see more of Cristina and Owen. I also look forward to see Izzie and Alex try to be together for real, and I would love it if Bailey and her family/work problems could get some more attention this season.
I also like the chief, but I definitely want Adele to stay far, far away from SGH... She's the most annoying character ever to have been on Grey's (even more annoying than Ava/Rebecca and Ghost Denny). I hate how she always tries to manipulate Richard, playing on his guilty feelings because of his affair, not having children and working too much. She knows who he is by now, so she should stop complaining...
