@Mrs alex o'loughlin: Well apparently the writers changed the ending, so Annie and Liam didn't even get engaged - Naomi originally got back with Max and so AnnaLynne remade the ending herself rekindling with Max, because that's what she wanted to happen. Though Annie and Liam were meant to get back together, they saved it till the end.
And as for Silver and Mark, their relationship never had closure to begin with, as Mark left to go to Canada to be with his kids. Silver was too busy in his last episode focusing on herself, while Mark was in jail. So I'm assuming they split (or the writers just forgot they were together) in the end.
As for Dixon, I think the writers were pushing him closer to Silver as the season was ending, so I think in the end they were finally going to be together, but the writers didn't officially get that opportunity.
I'll definitely be tuning into this series, but the only problem I have is the marks on their skin. I'm not sure who these aliens are meant to attempt to blend into the human race with obvious triable marks all over their bodies, particularly the face.
@Mrs alex o'loughlin: I'd try and tune into The Originals, but I've never watched TVD (don't plan to start), so going on to the spin-off just doesn't seem logical.
@Mrs alex o'loughlin: All the way from beginning to the end. Only problems I had with it ending was the lack of closure for Silver and Naomi. And you're welcome!
Mrs alex o'loughlin: It's probably a good idea to separate TVD and The Originals now, as TVD will eventually end and The Originals can go on for a while longer. It got it's backdoor pilot, which means now it's either time to sink or swim. Besides, Reign obviously done pretty poor, so they're giving it the TVD success and promotion to boost it. The Originals is something that could most likely hold an audience, especially with a show like Supernatural behind it. In addition to that, these two shows together can hold Tuesday night. Wednesday night is already looking solid, while Thursday is good enough with TVD. Monday's will do mediocre, while Friday's will are 50/50 at this point seeing as TCD could succeed with ANTM.
@Mrs alex o'loughlin: Thank you! Someone who still cares! I'd so sign up for a kickstarter campaign JUST to get a TV movie to wrap up 90210! As for Star-Crossed, it (along with The 100) is being held to midseason with Nikita.
I love Nikita and I'm glad it was renewed, but the only reason is was renewed was so that The CW could get it's package deal of shows ('The Tomorrow People' and 'The Hundred') from The WB. It has nothing to do with the loyal fanbase. IF The CW was really caring for shows and "wrap ups" of series, 90210 would have gotten a short season. I sound like a bitter fan, but I enjoyed 90210 and do enjoy Nikita, so my comment is all that bias.
My only issue with this schedule is that when TCD and ANTM finishes up is where these other new shows (and Nikita) are going. I assume Nikita will move to TCD's spot and ANTM will be repeats. However, if The CW does well with all these new shows, I assume they'll extend by a back order of 9 or 10. So the the only question remaining is which shows are they expecting to fail in order to replace? I'm expecting Reign to fail, which if it does they'll put Star-Crossed with TVD or move TO behind TVD if that does well. I feel as though this entire schedule is a complete mess and they've just really screwed themselves here.
With a great cast and being paired with Arrow, I have high hopes for this show. Hopefully this doesn't turn out much like Heroes and the writers realize what they're doing down the line.
Nikita is being held until mid-season for it's FINAL season.
I personally believe that The CW should have paired it (after) Arrow for 12 episodes and then replaced it at midseason. Honestly, they should have seen how it went for the first 6 episodes and if it continued to disappoint after Arrow then announce it as the final season. I think it could have been a good pairing seeing as their both action series lead by great casts and amazing writers. A fourth season with 12 episodes would have been enough for now and then they could have renewed it for a full fifth season OR another 12 episode season if it worked out.
I knew that a main character would be killed off in the end, possibly two. Honestly, they promoted THREE people for next season. Someone had to bite the dust.
Still wish The CW gave an additional episode to 23 or even 24, seeing as how abrupt everything was.
Still, I am happy with the two endgame couples (Liam and Annie, and Adrianna and Navid) happening. The were probably the two biggest ships (aside from Max and Naomi, WHO should have ended up together in my opinion). I also wished for Dixon and Silver to at least pick-up with their relationship, however, with the ending and how much screen time these two shared, I'm pretty positive that their futures will bring them together in the end.
Overall, I'm glad they did what they could with what they had and tried to satisfy everyone the way they could. Was better than I expected. Hanging on out there for a TV movie!
I feel as though them showing so much Sonya this episode and her relationship with Birkhoff escalating means that her end is near. There's meant to be a major in the finale, so if it's not the president then I can only assume her seeing as they've already killed off a main character a few weeks back.
Still laughing at the fact that this show was canceled just as it was getting better with writing and character development. Too little too late for 90210. I really hope the writers can give us the best possible series finale possible!
As for the episode itself, nothing but pure sadness for Silver. All I've got really.
Can they please kill this Owen and need to be a father? It's literally a repeat of Mark and Lexie back in seasons 6 and 7 when he wanted a baby and she didn't. Yeah, she didn't want one because she was too young at the time, but Cristina doesn't want one full stop.
Though I’ve warmed up to Jo, I feel as though the reason Shonda's pulled this is so people will pity the character and find a way to sympathize and like her. Classic strategy when a fan favorite is getting with a not-so fan favorite. Still, they could have allowed Alex to just win Jo's heart instead of beat a guy to a pulp and just make Alex look even worse than him. Explains why a cop will be showing up at Grey-Sloan Memorial.
As for Meredith, really? She falls flat on her stomach on stairs and rolls down them? OF COURSE she's got to injure herself and the baby. It only EVER happens to Meredith and ANYONE else who's ever been pregnant in a Shonda show.
I think switching Nikita to Monday night, while pushing 90210 to Friday would have been the best. I mean, burn the canceled series off there and push the one show that could at least benefit from the Monday night slot. Yeah, it's a little late now, but it could have easily been done after both shows when on a small break in mid-March.
This was probably the best season of 30 Rock. Can't believe it's already been 3 months off of the air now. If only NBC had given a full season pick-up for the best comedy they'd ever had.
Oh, and as for Silver, I'm positive that she'll get cancer. Unfortunately, there isn't enough time to deal with such an impacting storyline. Oh well...
I'm not sure why, but I found myself getting emotionally attached to these storylines. For example: Mark leaving. It's obviously going to effect Naomi and I feel really bad for her.
On another note, glad that Adrianna and Navid got back together. Least that is one ship to follow before the show ends, with another possibly being Annie and Liam.
The irony to this is that NBC would kill for the ratings and demos Heroes was pulling in it's last season. How times have changed in these past 3 years.
With two major shipping couples (most likely) getting back together, I think it's safe to assume that the fans (that are left) will be satisfied enough.
I'm going to assume that the detective coming to Sloan-Grey Memorial Hospital is there for Bailey. Perhaps she'll be charged with some sort of malpractice suit and murder/manslaughter?
Shonda did tweet that the finale is going to be crazy (again) this year...
I wish they'd give Melissa McBride the same bump up. For 3 seasons now, she's been one of the best characters left on the show and I wish she'd be given the same treatment as the rest of the cast. She may be labeled as "also starring", but that doesn't really meet the same standard as it does in the opening credits.
Nevertheless, she's probably safer at that status as main characters tend to die more than regular characters, so I'm assuming that either Beth and/or Sasha get the axe in the season opener/first three episodes.
