I really hope Casitel himself isn't dead. I mean, they did make the takeover of Jimmy appear as though Casitel died. However, it's only presumed. It must be confirmed!
I'm not sure if Grey's Anatomy's have improved much, but it's the premiere and they always have higher ratings, much like a finale.
I look forward to Private Practice airing next week, however, I'm not sure how it's going to go against The Mentalist.
April and Jackson are much better suited than Lexie and Jackson.
As for the promo, if Derek "has no reason to trust" Meredith, why does it appear as though he's getting into bed with her? If you can't trust her, then leave her!
Meredith's speech to Owen was amazing. She was crystal clear about everything Cristina was feeling and how the child would feel! However, I find it strange that Meredith is basically best friends with someone who reminds her of her mother. Hopefully that'll come up and be explored again. As for Zola, I admired that Meredith has really become attached to her and literally took her and ran. That's a momma bear protecting her cub! I'm really glad Meredith took her, as it is now clear just how much Meredith needed to contact Derek, but he wouldn't respond. Gave him a taste of his own medicine. Although, I'm glad he finally stood up for his wife and said that she was a good mother. Nevertheless, the outcome was not the one I wanted for Meredith, Derek and baby Zola.
As for Cristina, I finally got to see the Cristina I loved! The badass surgeon who does what she does best; OPERATE! There is still very much of a connection between her and Owen, so I'm glad he finally spoke to her - thanks to the kind words of Meredith. The abortion was honestly the thing I wanted for Cristina, however, when she broke down crying, it made me realize that it truly is going to break her heart and haunt her for a while.
Alex's guilt made me question whether the fact he actually misses Meredith and his friends OR if he just wants to belong and be looked up to. It's making me really question his true motives about how loyal he really is towards those who he says are "all he has". However, it didn't mean that Cristina had to kill him. XD
I'm glad Bailey did the smart thing by getting all of the (main - minus Lexie and Meredith) residents to work together in order get them to become friendly and be who they can be together. I mean, I couldn't give a rats ass about Jackson or April, but it interesting to see them attack one another over such pent up ridiculous stuff.
As for The Chief, he was really making me laugh. The constant bickering and scenes between him and Bailey really make the episodes. It sucks that he is"retiring" as Chief, but as long as I still get to see him around the hospital for the rest of the season, it would make me happy. I'm so glad that he took the wrap for Meredith, so I hope she is truly thankful for him on that. Although, I guess the hospital is going to be hating on Meredith for this, as The Chief is now gone, because of her.
Overall, I found the 2nd half more interesting than the first, as it gave me the answers I needed to know about Cristina's pregnancy and resolved the issues between Derek and Meredith, as well as the awkward hatful situations between Meredith, Alex and Cristina.
Owen and Derek were continuously being immature and cold to their wives this episode.
Meredith and Cristina continued to be the "Twisted Sisters" and not knowing what to do about their problems.
I pity Alex a lot, but that was his best friend and he had what was coming.
I feel sorry for April. She's trying to do her job and she's not being listened to.
Teddy is just as annoying happy, as she sad. Enough said!
Callie and Arizona's happiness is plausible and it makes me happy that we're going to be drama free from them for a while.
Lexie and Jackson are a nice couple, but I only see her with Mark and it's obvious that this is the season for them - Mark and Lexie.
As for Bailey, I understand why she is mad at Meredith, but jeez, give her some slack. She's already suffering enough. However, as Bailey has high morals, I'm cutting her some slack
And finally, The Chief, I love how he was trying to be comforting for Meredith and trying to cushion the blow for her termination, but he can't have it both ways.
Overall, I enjoyed the first episode and was looking forward to 2nd episode. Yeah, the sinkhole was interesting, but the characters interest me more than the cases lately.
"Someone gets fired from the hospital and someone leaves." - Meredith fired, the Chief leaves.
"Social Services comes looking for Meredith and Derek." - They'll be safe, probably just a check-up on Zola.
"Henry undergoes a new procedure, one that causes lots of worry." - He'll be safe. No point in killing him off now.
"A resident goes unconscious at the hands of another resident." - Alex is knocked out by Cristina.
"A doctor makes a big decision that could ruin his/her reputation." - Possibly the Chief, which is why he departs.
"Christina and Owen's fate as parents is decided." - Due to the subtle remarks and emphasis on "fate" and "parents", it sounds as though they will keep the baby. Such a disappointment!
I really enjoyed the season 13 premiere. It really feels like a new beginning.
It was very sad to not see Christopher Meloni, B.D. Wong and Tamara Tunie in the credits. However, I'm glad that there was an appearance from Tamara Tunie's character - Dr. Melinda Warner.
I really enjoyed Kelli Giddish's character. I do wish that we got to see Danny Pino's character, even if it was a quick glimpse and one line. Hopefully they both get on well with the rest of the crew.
As for Stephanie March, as Alexandra Cabot, I wish she was added back to the cast. I miss both her and Diane Neal, as Casey Novak!
I couldn't help but laugh at Alex's comment: "Is Stabler coming back?", to which the Captain replied: "It's up to him".
Overall, it was a great episode to begin with as the case was really interesting and it showed the new detectives coming in and all of that.
My heart really goes out to Olivia. I cannot imagine what she's going through when it comes to that situation of Elliot. I hope she gets through it.
I look forward to next weeks episode and I hope that TV Fanatic continues to write reviews for the show, as it's one of my favorites and so is this site! :D
I find this really depressing:
-Ringer dropped to under 2 million viewers.
-90210 sank to only 1.56 million.
I really like these shows and I don't wanna see them get canceled! Hopefully they both pull in viewers! :D
I wish 90210 would stop with the special guest appearances. It only needs to focus on it's primary cast. I get that the show is based in L.A., but how L.A. can it get?
It has felt like a month since the pilot aired. I'm really enjoying this show and the 2nd episode was just as good as the pilot.
The pregnancy is making me really question how she's gonna do in the end. However, my real question is about Siobhan. This character is really pregnant and on the run (from her current life) and is really making me question what's going in her life instead of Bridgets. I mean, yeah, Bridget leading Siobhan's life is what makes us question her character, but I wanna know exactly going on with her that made her leave.
The flashback shows what really happened 9 years ago that was the reason why the two really began to drift in the first place, but the ultimate death of what seems to be Siobhan's son (caused by Bridget). Although, surely it doesn't mean that Siobhan wanted Bridget to take her identity, so that way she could kill her and get away with it?
SO MANY QUESTIONS! D:
I know Dixon was going to be the one with a drug problem, leading him and Adrianna to be the real addixon in the end, as she helps him through it in the end. I'm really enjoying both Dixon and Adrianna a lot this season.
As for Naomi, I hope she beats that bitch Holly ass with her power of manipulation and such.
As for Annie, she should have been smart enough not go tell a complete stranger about her inheritance. For all she knew, the guy was actually a gold digger. She really has bad vibes when it comes to guys. Jasper ring a bell?
Silver and Navid still bore me as a couple, I love Silver, but not Navid. So as a couple it puts me off them. As for his sister and the guy, if that had turned into a storyline, it would have been ridiculous, as I wouldn't have bought into it so spontaneously when the guy was never mentioned as a "reason to stay" in episode one.
As for Liam, I hope this Jane woman does help him grow further as an adult. As much as I enjoy the whole "bad boy" character, it's time to grow up from the "I'm damaged" scene.
On a separate note, I'm used to the fact of not seeing Teddy as much, however, it doesn't excuse Ivy (and Raj) being absent. I can't stand the girl as much, but this is a real chance to show character development on her part.
GG=Life:
1. It has been noted by Michael Ausiello, that there will be a male character this season who dabbles into drugs and becomes an addict.
2. I agree. I think he cheated and that's why this random "Jane" woman comes out of no where to tell him she loves him or some crap.
I really hope Cristina goes through with this abortion. She clearly has stated, right now, in season 8, like in many seasons that she does NOT want a kid. She wishes she did so her and Owen could be happy, but finally now that she has decided after splitting with Owen that she still doesn't want a kid, means that this is the best outcome for her.
Adrianna will be redeemed by EVERY character by the point of midseason. And by the time midseason is at it's peak, she'll be in a new relationship with Dixon or Liam. She'll get her groove on with her boss or the "male character who will suffer from a drug addiction this season".
"Nate reconnects with Diana, who offers him an exciting opportunity." - Honestly? What the hell writers?! Stop giving him relationships! I'd like to see Nate go at least 5 episodes without being in a relationship! It's all the ever give him! This character is literally becoming a character without purpose and any future potential!
