  1. Being Human Review: Living In A Box

@R Right? Like I don't typically read too much into stuff like that but it felt like they went out of their way to imply this new sense of awkwardness. Especially given Aidens terrible luck with women human and vampire. I don't know if they'll actually go there or if I want them to but I noticed that too.I think now may be the best time for him not to get distracted by a woman as he's known to do.
Oh Sally, I knew that was going to happen the moment she seen the guy but I guess she wouldn't be Sally or help the story any if she didn't go against the warning. I was happy to finally see the reunion I needed to see between the friends.Agree with this completely. Especially about the werewolves. Ugh I was so over them (and mother and suren) last season so their father coming made me sigh. Its been a year.
  2. Scandal Review: We The People

I mean if we are so willing to differentiate between "normal "people then why get so up and arms about fictional ones?
  3. Scandal Review: We The People

Doesn't mean I condone sociopathic behavior or serial killing. Its great that philosophy is brought up. As a social scientist I find these discussions interesting and find that snap judgments made from tiny facets of a character or the people who like that character more specifically kind of sad. Especially when some of the people guilty of such didn't like it or got equally defensive when it was thrown back at them. I never demand to know why people hate a character and ask in such a tone that implies that that person is somehow wrong for hating them. My overall point being extend the same courtesy.
  4. Scandal Review: We The People

I never said that anyone who doesn't like Olivia is sexist. But I did point out sociologically if you will that in general I find the response to Olivia's actions over anyone else's to be interesting. She's often times held to a different standard than most of the other characters. IN GENERAL. Scandal conversations have brought up all sorts of interesting points about politics, marriage, race, gender roles...I thought it was a valid part of this discussion which I've had plenty times before. Apologies if it got people hot and bothered. also find it disheartening that just because fans choose to like Olivia Pope as a fictional character their morals as human beings are coming under attack. Honestly, I'm more than willing to admit that I get defensive about that. I understand why people may not like Olivia when they make fair points so why call into question why people do? My generalizations can just as well be in response to sweeping accusations. My favorite character is Huck. Doesn't mean I condone sociopathic behavior or serial killing in reality.
  5. Grey's Anatomy Review: Moving Forward

I loved that Jackson stood up to Arizona. She's one of the most irritating characters. Too condescending for words. I like Owen and Yang together. It works. Derek can be such a self righteous jackass. Out of nowhere he decides to blame Owen for everything which it was too many factors to put it all on him. Plus he was Chief before. He knows what type of decisions are made. Hell, the hospital got shot up and people died under his watch. No suits came from that, no responsibility for crappy security features. No blame. Bailey's story was hilarious. I don't mind Alex and princess as friends but unfortunately I doubt it'll Stay that way. The naivete of the settlement is shocking. Did they honestly think they'd still be working there after that? And that was before Owen found out the hospital could close. Insurance companies and their loopholes.
  6. Grey's Anatomy Review: Moving Forward

@CleoArizona is NOT Jackson's superior. He's an attendee now. And as per usual she interfered with stuff when it wasn't necessary. I'm sorry but she can be rude, condescending, and a royal pain in the ass. Why not respect the fact that he was Mark's progeny. The chosen one who kicked ass in plastics. Mark is gone now, and it was clear Arizona wasn't coming to grips with that and overstepping her bounds. She still treats them like residents or interns rather than peers. You can't instill in them all these teachings and then not trust your own work and their abilities. Also has always been inconsistently written, sure at one point he was klutzy and botching surgeries(as were most of them honestly) but when he first came he was the rockstar giving Yang a run for her money. Avery only lacked skill after that shooting in the hospital. I chalked it up as PTSD which he clearly had.
  7. Scandal Review: We The People

@Marcus. She's flawed. She's human. I can write an essay on why I like Olivia Pope. I can go dissect the sexist response some viewers have in response to her character because I guarantee you a great deal of the naysayers wouldn't detest her or many of her actions so much if she were a man. Case in point being the disdain you exhibit over Olivia's infidelity but no mention of the same disdain for the married man cheating on his wife (who has also cheated on him because the irony of the sanctity of marriage being crapped on is that the Grant marriage is a orchestrated business deal more then anything) . I could discuss the realistic portrayal of a strong woman who is also vulnerable and successfully manages to break free of some of the stereotypes women and African Americans are pigeon holed into. But it'll all come down to her being flawed and human. And no matter what anyone says your mind won't be changed so why bother asking? :)
  8. Parenthood Review: Tragic Circumstances

@Kristy you've echoed my feelings perfectly, in a way i couldnt quite express. You're a goddess.
  9. Criminal Minds Review: Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing

To be that and Morgan still is when they aren't replacing his position with Blake. I just wish that Blake could find her own role on the team that doesn't interfere with anyone else. It would help with the comparisons. I also wish she would have more positive interaction with the other characters instead of limiting herself to Reid. She didn't come off particularly great in the beginning and she still for the most part lacks presence. Or they could not bother and just get rid of her. I'm not invested in her character at all and don't really see where she's necessary at this point honestly.
  10. Criminal Minds Review: Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing

It was a great episode, but it was emotionally manipulative. Why can't Reid ever be happy? The timing was too much, we Leverage fans are still reeling from an undeserved cancellation and then they killed off "Parker" at least they let her live on NCIS. I didn't understand how the death scene happened. Some of them had the chance to take a shot. Jj has a wicked crack shot. I just found myself unnecessarily unsettled and bitter. Matthew Gray Gubler did a tremendous job in this episode. He was captivating to watch in his vulnerability. I have to say though, it still feels like they're forcing this, friendship "between Reid and Blake. I don't like that and I'm not one of those bitter Emily fans because I never cared for her either. Its like they think if they give her these scenes with the most popular character the audience will receive her better. Plus if she's to be viewed as an addition rather than replacement they shouldn't throw her into the role as Reids confidante when Emily used to be that and Morgan too. It'd be nice if Blake found her own role on the team and didn't limit her pleasant interactions to just Reid.
  11. Suits Review: Get it Together

I actually felt bad for Louis. I lliked him with female Louis and I liked his associate! Maybe even better then the one Harvey went with. I think they should have taken the risk with her. She had too much personality to not be around. I'm tired of Rachel's inability to separate her personal and professional life but I'm so glad Mike dumped Tess. Didn't like her from the beginning. I liked seeing the romantic and fatherly Harvey. I'm not surprised about either. People like him get along better with kids then adults but I'm not going to miss Zoe. I liked her but there was this awkwardness and forced thing with them in part because it was Gabriel's real wife. Strange. The threat of Mike being exposed is redundant but necessary. The Louis being on the outside looking in is interesting and funny at times but not necessary. The case was rough and Mike should have never taken it. Love having this show back. It's one of nh must see favorites.
  12. Suits Review: Get it Together

I'm glad they had the clarification of the sibling sort of bond between Donna and Harvey. I love them both. I love their interactions, but it always felt platonic to me, like bickering siblings or the two besties that grew up together. You can tell Donna probably had feelings for him at some point and they weren't reciprocated but bonds are so much more fascinating without boxing it into romance or sex. It somehow cheapens and limits what they have. FINALLY Harvey layed into Mike. I love the kid but he was long overdue for that bluntness. He at times comes off as unappreciative and too self righteous of Harvey and Jessica's actions or methods considering their asses are constantly on the line because of him. I understand Jessica because she doesn't have the bond with him. Criminal that GT didn't appear until 45 minutes in.
  13. Scandal Review: We The People

I found the angst Olivia went through in this episode flashbacks and present day fascinating. It's so true that she does these things, fixes problems, and takes part in this stuff and it is like she's sacrificing little pieces of herself. The angst was long overdue because she always has to be so strong. I love that we see a more vulnerable and scarred Olivia this season. Its beautiful to watch.
Oh Edison, chap doesn't stand a chance. He was a forceful little something but the reason it comes across so irritating is because as a viewer it is easy to forget about their history. I loved the first meeting of pope and associates but it kinda sucks that they forgot about Stephen. He used to be her best friend. Well crafted episode. Loved it. I feel like there is this inconsistency with Mellies portrayal in the flashbacks though. Sometimes she's overly ambitious cold mellie and other times she's happy Susie homemaker. She's already both deliciously evil and also sympathetic, they needn't work so hard to balance it out.
  14. Being Human Review: I Am A Human Being!

Thank God I'm not the only person who doesn't like Nora. I was starting to feel as though it was just me! I reluctantly admit that she was nice and supportive etc. In this episode, but I'm still not pleased about her becoming a regular. I like them best when its the three of them interacting and bickering like sibling s throwing Nora in the mix just throws off the vibe. I have nothing against the actress buy Nora as a character gets under my skin, and now she'll suck up screentime. I'm thrilled mother is out of the picture, they did in fact overdo the vampire politics. Loved the introduction of witches. I was skeptical about the fifteen month jump but it worked. Loved the episode, I only wish we'd have gotten the three roommates finally reuniting but there's next week. So excited about Sally!
  15. NCIS Review: You Are Not Alone

Amazing episode yet again. Cote de Pablo is so beautiful and so talented. She's been beyond phenomenal with this arc. Her pain and vulnerability was palpable. Rock Carroll was insane in the authenticity of his anger and grief. Ducky was so awesome. That grandmother line was unquestionably his BEST line ever. I loved seeing Oded Fehr, even if he was playing a bad guy. MVP of the episode was Tony. His loyalty, concern, reverence for Ziva was beautiful. They've become so intimate that their serious scenes leave me breathless. He's being the Tony I always knew he was, I'm just glad that other fans are seeing what I seen in him since the beginning. I was wondering what he had said. So glad to finally know.
  16. Parenthood Review: Fight For What You Love

Over her kids. Where the hell was Drew? I do wish we seen more of Camille and Zeeks. I loved seeing Ryan again andhim and amber. Funny, Julia was still coming across as selfish to me. I'm glad she's going through with everything but she's upset that he doesn't tell her he loves her? He's a boy. And 9. And a former foster kid. He wouldn't tell her that anyway. Was it not enough when he wanted her to stay around on his first day of school? Or the appreciative smile when she found him a friend who speaks Spanish? Or his excitement anytime he does well,? I feel like she's not accepting that this all takes time, but maybe after this episode she will. The sweet pep talk Crosby gave her seemed to work, even though he mostly lied and totally told Adam and Kristina the same thing.
  17. Parenthood Review: Fight For What You Love

Crosby has always been one of my favorite characters on the show. I love that he's not only showing how mature he can be, but he's given that opportunity to show it more. Jasmine I have never been a fan of or her mom and its never more apparent as when they're onscreen together. Renee is too much. She's super judgmental and the resentment she holds against Crosby is ridiculous given the fact that for those first five years he didn't know he had a kid. Its great that she helped jasmine out in the beginning but she didn't have to. Jasmine having balls of steel when she's reaming on Crosby for everything under the sun, but not having them to put her mom in her place or at the very least back up her husband is irritating. She expected him to apologize when there was nothing to apologize for. Sarah's love triangle isn't fair to either guy. It floors me that she's considered some sort of catch. For both men's sake I hope they dump her. Oh and once again she's prioritizing her relationships over her kids. Where the hell was drew?
  18. Person of Interest Review: Prison Break

This was one of my favorite episodes to date! I love that this season they're giving the other characters a chance to shine and show that this show isn't carried by Reese’s character alone. Fusco, Carter, and Finch especially have really been holding their own! We got badass Finch, badass and vulnerable Carter, adorable and hilarious Fusco ...he did a fantastic job at carrying the humor of the show in this episode where the others were required to be more serious, and we got vulnerable and introspective John. John and Joss have fascinating interactions anyway they're some of my favorite, but this episode was them at their best. Great nuanced performances by Jim and Taraji. I felt like I was intruding on this private conversation and their private moments. A deeper connection than they've ever had. Loved it. The ending truly surprised me with Donnolly and Kara.
  19. Grey's Anatomy Review: Tears, Fears and Goodbye

Fantastic episode. I love Jackson and Stephanie. April was jerking him around too much and honestly I never cared for Japril as a couple. They were close friends and for so long they had an almost sibling like bond to them. Avery was protective of her in this big brother way as though she were his pesky but sweet, annoying, innocent little sister. The moment sex came into the picture I cringed. Stephanie reminds me a bit of Yang just a little softer and meeker at times which reminds me of the initial interest Jackson had in Yang when he got there. It works for me.
Loved Bailey and Ben. Bailey and Webber. He and Grey. Alex and Princess. Yang and Hunt. Everyone was well used. Solid episode and Adeles death was so sad.
  20. NCIS Review: The Steel Bonds of Blood

INCREDIBLE!!! All I can really say about this episode. Cote de Pablo was amazingness personified. An Emmy worthy performance. How the show becomes better rather than worse with each season is beyond me. Few can pull that off but NCIS is like a fine wine that only gets better with age.
  21. Parenthood Review: Tragic Circumstances

The adult who should know better. His not lashing out at Joel (the kid whisper) isn't solely because he technically isn't replacing anyone, but because God bless him, the man has the patience of a saint and isn't forcing or pushing the kid too much. He disciplines him as fit and they still let him get away with too much, as with Sydney, but he respects the adapting process. So I fully understand Joel 's reaction to Julia considering giving Victor up. Especially given all the sacrifices he's made over the years.
Sara is so out of touch with her children its sad. She's one of those parents who grew up with her kids. They raised each other. Sometimes its good, most times its unfortunate. Mark knew her son better than she did because she's too caught up in her love life. Loved Adam&Kristina. Felt bad for Crosby. Not a Renee fan since the despicable way she treated him when they met. Fantastic episode though.:)
  22. Parenthood Review: Tragic Circumstances

Working and can't handle any of it now that she isn't because she's never had too. She has YET to have a real talk with him that isn't coming across as selfish! She's pissed and hurt that he doesn't call her mom and wants to see his real one. He was doing fine and adjusting quite well until she told him he couldn't see his mother without explaining why, dismissed the mother he's known for the first part of his life as nothing and insisted that he was hers now because she signed papers. She's trying to fast forward a transition that takes years, strip him of part of his identity, and she isn't taking the time to explain why. He's lashed out since then, and understandable so. He's old enough to remember and miss his birth mom...Julia's inadvertently trying to force him to forget and let her go. It's too selfish for words, and now that she can't hack it she's considering "returning" or "exchanging "him. Its irresponsible on her part because shes
  23. Parenthood Review: Tragic Circumstances

No one is condoning Victor's behavior at all. It frustrates me that because he's having difficulties adapting the assumption is made that he has mental issues. What is that. Here's the problem, Victor is difficult that is without question but Julia has been handling this all wrong from the beginning. As someone who has studied child development and psychology and has personal experience with watching my own parent deal with a real troubled and mentally unsound child, I cringe at Julia. She has never been cut out for motherhood. She struggles with it in a gripping way that's reflective of the modern day working woman. She could barely manage Sydney. So when she expressed wanting another I was surprised. Her expectation that he was supposed to come in perfect and blend in instantly was RIDICULOUS and too naive for such a smart woman! Adopting a kid at that age takes work, time, and patience. She never had any of that when she was
  24. Once Upon a Time Review: Playing Cricket

@Ginger that wasn't Cora. That was the Blue Fairy /Nun that Leroy /Grumpy loved. I thought it was Cora for a split second too when I seen it.:)
  25. Elementary Round Table: "Dirty Laundry"

-I basically love anytime they banter. Miller and Liu have a great chemistry and the partnership has really been hitting its stride. Loved the final scene when she told him she already had a job lined up.
-It was stronger than previous plots despite being kind of cliche.
-Watson needs more depth but I'd rather it be with Sherlock. Like that final scene when he waited with her for her ex or dinner with her family.
-Both definitely. He'd never want to admit that he's come to care for her or that he likes her around and he sees that she's good at investigating and genuinely likes it.
    - He'll reluctantly admit he wants her around after she leaves and she'll reluctantly realize that she wants to keep working with him after she starts working with someone else.
