I liked this ep more than anything I've seen on "classic" NCIS for a while now. McGee is one of my fave characters, so it was wonderful to have some focus on him again, and I've been a Lily Tomlin fan for a long time. Loved seeing Penelope and Ducky happily strolling off at the end for a nice dinner and cocktails. Would love to see them bring her back.
It wasn't my favorite ep, but I still enjoyed it. Good villian, and some good giggles with the team shake-ups. Very glad Hetty is back where she belongs, and I'm looking forward to her finally sharing her secrets with Callen about his past (and I hope we viewers get to hear some of it, too!) I wasn't a huge fan of Hunter, but this ep gave me a lot more insight into her and her deep undercover work. Loved how she disappeared at the end before Callen had a chance to confront her about "Ashley"... I'm loving this season so far, and looking forward to more of it!
I thought it was another great ep, loved how well they portrayed that fractured feel, without their beloved Hetty there to run the show. I don't actually dislike Hunter, I think she knows nearly as much about Operation Comescu/Callen's background as Hetty does, and like Hetty, is wearing the knowledge very close to her chest. Loved Nell showing her stuff around the sassy NSA (?) agent; I started out ambivalent re: Nell, but I love her to pieces, now!
It wasn't their best effort in premieres, IMO. MW did a fine job, nice to see a change of pace with Tony. I always enjoy NCIS even on a bad day, but this one didn't really leave me on pins & needles wanting to see more of this particular arc.
Dynamite ep, all around! Was everything I could have hoped for, and more. Can't wait to see how the background mysteries of Hetty/Callen unfolds. The scenes with Hunter caught me way off guard! Was fleshed out nicely with the lighthearted scenes with Eric/Nell, and I enjoyed seeing Vance there, fretting about his team and their safety. This has been Must See TV for me for awhile now, and this ep just cemeted it firmly into place!
Hetty gets shot, but I doubt she is dead, haven't read a peep about the amazing Linda Hunt leaving the show. Looking forward to this ep, and the upcoming season! Lots of secrets revealed.
I thought it was a good finale, but it felt a bit rushed to me. Some parts I found very predictable, but I was definitely surprised at the reveal about EJ being SecNav's niece. Not my favorite finale by far, but I'll still be tuning in next season to see what happens next! And add me to the list of viewers who don't really care if we see EJ again (except as a baddie, but again, that's probably too easy).
I thought it was a fantastic finale, from start to finish. My only (very few) quibbles were tiny technicalities, certainly not enough to diminish my interest. For every layer the writers peel back on Hetty, they add a fresh one. Love it! I have no doubt (crossing fingers) that Hetty will be back amongst her fold where she belongs, early next season. I have to say, I love both NCIS shows, but I enjoyed LA's finale better than the original.
Mike definitely looked like he was terminally ill, not surprised he chose to go out the way he did. I'll miss him! Great ep.
Another great ep, this show never fails to disappoint me! Loved the humor woven into the case, and of course the added mystery of Hetty's sudden resignation (and I'm confident we haven't seen the last of her, loved her pulling a fast one on her would-be muggers, in Prague!) Can't wait to see what else next week's ep has in store!
