@ R
The 'degenerate behavior' comment is actually meant as more of a joke than anything. But Lassiter really was trying to frame Henry's presence at that bar as a bad thing. I was essentially just playing-off what was already injected into the scene!
No worries @Steve Cee, I totally know this is just a tv show, but I find it much more interesting to make people think about what they're seeing rather than just passively watching, especially if I have to chance to intervene in the review setting to bring something out that might have bearing on a character's trajectory. This is purely fun for me, and @Psych_USA has picked up reviews where I take the time to parse out these little details. I haven't lost a wink of sleep, in fact, I've been sleeping a lot more than usual. Thanks for your concern, though!
Let me clarify a few things:
1. @ReaRea2013: I don't hate this season so much. Just from a critical perspective, and in comparison to the other shows that USA Network has cranked out for this, and every other season of the year, Royal Pains, in my opinion, has struggled to keep up in terms of pace and growth.
2. @RP Fan: USA Network just changed the schedule changes in the past week, so when they released the episode for pre-screening they were still calling it a mid-season finale at the network.
@Steve, like I mention in the review, I think we could have suffered a little bit longer, and would have preferred another route was taken on the resolution. I do think that 48hrs is a little short for power to be turned and overturned.
@Tyler I hope the plot is more substantial than that. My hope is that the plot is more about Louis trying to claw his way back into the ranks and failing miserably. Eventually he will break down and finally see that he's wrong and doesn't have to operate in that manner.
@Terrie No, I was not able to see the preview when the episode aired, so I would not know that. However, it wouldn't surprise me if it didn't last due to Boris.
What did I make of their conversation over future children? I'm not sure. I was pretty surprised that Paige was so militant and insistent when it came to disciplining her children. I don't know why she jumped all over him about avoiding the conversation. I don't think he did that at all. The conversation overall was another strange abstraction in this episode.
@MRWRITESF I don't believe I'm over-thinking it. It DOES matter that the content of these episodes continues to get more and more not cohesive, as I think it interferes with the storytelling.
@SPatel I completely agree with you, Mike's thinking was genius and he really was able to make a clever play on Tanner. If only we knew what the dirt was that Hardman found before Mike could!
@all Such a great response for an even more excellent episode!
@Blu, yes Louis as IF she loved Harvey, not IN love with him, but the implication to a non-discerning individual would be the same. While Louis carefully crafted the question, the partners saw someone (Harvey) who demonstrated some kind of feeling for another human being by telling Louis to back off. Louis almost played right into allowing Harvey's softer side to show up in that respect.
Sorry for the delay, Suitors, mother nature is an unforgiving creature, and I was without power when the episode aired, trekking far and wide to find a usable television to see it live. The only thing I didn't have was internet, and I cranked this out at a nearby McDonald's this AM to make it up to you!
I know I might sound a little harsh. But trust me, I wouldn't bother to complain if I didn't love this show enough and know what it was capable of such that I would directly address it and hope for change!
I think the fact that Suits is the close second choice says a lot. I think we've been taken over to some extent by teeny-boppers. Once they're done, the adults will have their turn to win!

If there is anyone out there who knows or understands why USA Network can NEVER get an EMMY nod, with only a few exceptions I can think of as of late, please DM me! I am SO CURIOUS!
@Terrie---unfortunately that's exactly what I'm saying. I'm not a medical professional, nor, I suppose, is it something very prevalent in my area. haha
@All---now that we've moved past the whole HankMed split plotline for the most part, give it a little time to settle back into what it used to be and then decide whether or not the show is too far gone for you!
Loving that you all are so into this review and the episode as a whole. I'm wondering where you think Hardman's act is going to go, and why keep up the seething but abruptly polite chit-chat when Jessica and Harvey have already acknowledged him as a threat? What does he gain by doing so?
@Blu---I agree, we are still kind of in a he-said-she-said scenario where--- like the tag for this season of Suits so aptly put it---"nothing is ever black and white." It's clear Hardman wants to make them miserable, but unclear what ends he's seeking.
haha, it didn't occur to me until just now, but it almost doesn't seem fair to be pitting men and women against each other like this, especially when they're both so attractive!
@SnaketheCritic USA has done this before with hit shows such as Monk and Psych, and although Monk ended it's almost decade run in 2009,Psych is wildly successful and moved to a nice place on Wednesday nights, anchoring the network's Fall programming. If Common Law proves equally strong, it may find itself moving to a different night sometime in the future.
@All good work on the actress detecting. I concur, believing I've also seen her on the daytime soap. Wondering if she might stick around a while!
@Tyler I concur on this point. It was starting to get a little bit annoying that these two adult men couldn't approach each other as such and work out their problems!
@Amber---I, too, am a fan of Tommy and Maura maybe getting together. I can wait for it, though.
I was also super excited that these two have gotten over this rough patch, at least as we see it right now. I'm ready for them to get back to being BFFLs!
