I think Abel will need a blood transfusion and Wendy will have to give it, bring her back in the story again, plus a custody claim. I think Clay ordered the hit on Jax to make it look like a 9er attack. I agree with some other people that the car scene was contrived and too much in an action packed series... there are so many complications going on. From the minute Tarah offered the kids to Gemma, there was a bad feeling, just waiting for the slipper to fall....
I like watching Dan join the dark side! I think its the first time in the whole series I haven't wanted to throw a shoe at him during his over analytical, always procrastinating screen time! He is acting not talking... awesome!Ivy and Rufus are a bit creepy but its also funny! The Serena and Blair story is just so boring and done 100 times already... everyone knows that they will make up in the end. I wish they would focus a bit more on Chuck and Nate's stories this season... we already endured Blair's random French marriage for like the whole of last season, plus her taking over W and whatever else... who cares about her latest fad... of course she will end up with Chuck, so it's a bit of a pointless airtime. I sort of like Serena trying to better herself. Wish they'd focus more on that too. Georgina is the best character ever! More Georgina!!!
I'm so disappointed in this review. It was such an amazing episode with so much happening and you chose to focus 3/4 of your review on something so minor, it barely warranted mentioning. Yes they killed an innocent woman... they have done that countless times, when Gemma was on the run Tig killed her father's carer, when Donna died, the daughter of Pope... this is horrible but not new. You didn't even mention the fact Clay is faking his recovery speed, you briefly touched on the death of the Sherrif's wife, and Unser finally confronting Gemma. Not too mention, the suicide was far heavier for me to watch then the death of the nameless wife. - maybe its a women thing. Plus all the power plays between different characters were just flawless! And the gangster meeting when Jax, Sais, 'We should do it more often" was priceless!! The subtle mentoring of Jax by Pope is amazing to watch... How can you leave all these things out Matt! Look at the bigger picture! This is still such a brilliant and intricately written show - things don't happen in one episode - they develop with time!
I loved the Jay/ Gloria at parent school!! The way they just had fun instead of being this uptight anxious students was awesome... you can see more and more, that despite the fact they look like complete opposites, they are incredibly well suited - they just have genuine fun with each other!
As soon as I saw the wife in tonight's episode, I felt sure something bad would happen to her... they just looked to happy and in love as a couple... something needed to push the sheriff off the sidelines. Jax's brawl with the Irish, brought them back into the spotlight, and let us see how little regard he ultimately has for them. I liked the little details of tonight, such as how Gemma reached out to touch Tarah's hair, but she flinched and Gemma walked away - how Nero wanted Gemma so bad, but he couldn't do it thinking of his son, Clay's overall reaction to the merger with Nero, caving so easily when previously he would have been so stubbornly against it. You're review was disappointing tonight, you were so gun ho for action that you didn't give any attention to the finer points of what makes this show stand out....
I totally disagree - It was a great episode.... Sutter is a genius the way he has written this script... the problem with so many high action drama shows such as True Blood for example, is there are so many intense scenes, and plot pushes one after the other that the characters cease to feel real - alot hapens and yet nothing happens, the characters go around in circles. Sutter gives us these slower paced episodes and allows his audience to breathe, letting us enjoy the humanity of the characters, and watching them develop..And how could you miss the look Jax gave Hale when he said, 'I'm not Oswald's son'. This is not the look of a man who has gone soft, but a man who is cold, lethal, deadly and surely preparing the perfect revenge.... Far scarier then rushing out in a mad gory blood spree.....
Is there any show you enjoy reviewing past the first season? Always whining about how they have too many plotlines and how they've lost it from the first season... That's what shows do! They grow and develop and have to change. Imagine 8 seasons in Aggrestic? How boring. Look at Californication and Gossip Girl to name a few of my former favorite shows... they stay where they are, everyone does the same predicatble shit over and over again, and only into season 4 they are already limping toward a rapidly descending finish line. Yes Weeds has a lot of hit and miss... this season Doug with the homeless is just totally irrelevant to every story (and pretty disturbing), but weeds is still going for 8 seasons!! And I loved 6 and 7... the contrast of the wild lands of america, and then new york... was f** awesome!! It doesn't have to be a deep serious plotline, its escapism!! Awesome show. Awesome story!
I liked this episode. I don't think it needs some continuous serious plotline. This is a light hearted show to watch and enjoy after a day's hard work. I think all the characters are adorable. I do agree that Paige's outfit tonight was a total miss.
It was Evelyn Larson not Lawson right? I I agree with Mickey! I adore Paige and Evan's relationship, and I hope they don't mess with it, I want to see the marriage and babies... imagine how many funny plotlines it could add... and the family situation is rel life. I like how despite Hank seemingly being the more conservative brother, he is more of an unpredictable ladies man in the end! I love Divya (still hoping for a reunioon with Adam!), and I think the new doctors are improving more each week, it is nice how the show is slowly fleshing them out. It was good to see Hank stand firm with Boris... although I do love Boris!!
I wish all these 'Bill Sookie Erik ppl would move on! It's so good to finally have a season where they have their own storylines instead of same same but different every season, where in the end nothing happens. Have you people SEEN Gossip Girl...? The same boring love triangles over and over and over and over without a break shows is how good shows end! And don't worry I'm sure plenty of future seasons will include some more love triangles. OMG I loveeeeed How Katy Perry, 'Lets get it on tonight' was playing in the background just before Steve and Russel's big hookup! That was genius. Also the whole Steve plot this season is just so awesome! It is such an amazing satire of real life politics and that 'happy media face' that they always plaster across TV's when there's any big crisis! Jessica is sooooo beautiful! Tonight she looked more beautiful then ever? Where was the handsome Alcide?
