6. Is the falcon someone we know: yes! (At least I hope so.) During the first part of season 2, we saw alot of new characters, so I wouldn't necessarily be surprised if it was somebody new. But it would be alot more interesting if it was someone we knew. My guess? Ashley! People think her character is useless but I have a sneaky suspicion that she's somehow connected too--we just haven't figured out how yet!
7. My fake foundation would support the privacy of famous people. Because I adore oxymorons ;)
Remember guys, Eli asked Victoria where Charlotte was and she claimed her daughter was still at school. So why, later that same evening, did Charlotte confess to skipping school to take Eli around the island? It didn't make any sense!
5 Biggest threat to Emily's revenged: tie between Jack and Eli. Eli knows the secret and has the power to destroy everything. But Jack has Emily's heart and is close to finding out himself. Emotionally, he's more of a threat. The falcon thing is certainly threatening in its own way, but I have confidence that Nolan will work it all out :)
4. CDUI rating: 5. They were both lame this week. But in general, I think Charlotte has alot of potential in being useful (after all, she's both Emily's sister AND Victoria's daughter). Even Declan has his place. No he's not a main character but, if he were killed off, Jack would have zero family left. His mother left a long time ago, his father died last year, and his beautiful bride has also met her untimely end. (RIP fauxmanda!) This poor guy needs a break. If Declan gets killed off, Jack will REALLY go off the deep end. There are only so many blows a man can take.
BUT.... as much as I generally am cool with Charlotte and Declan, I agree with most people about their uselessness this week. Their fight seems contrived. Their acting wasn't believable. And most of all, it just seemed to come out of left field. Not only did i not think Declan had a right to be so uptight (uh controlling much???), but the timeline didn't make sense anyway. Remember guys, Eli asked Victoria where Charlotte was and she replied school. Then what appeared to be later that day (not a day or two later, which would make more sense), Charlotte supposedly skipped school to take Eli around the island. Perhaps some parts were cut out in order to keep within their allotted time, but the whole story just didn't make any sense and, even if it did, it seemed pointless. Am I the only one who thought this???
1. How much I love Nolan: infinity TIMES infinity!
2. Emily's latest obstacles: intriguing. Eli knows her identity and seems like a wild card. Could be a friend or a foe. All I know is that I'll be watching tonight's latest installment on the edge of my seat! (Besides, anything is better than the initiative!)
3. Does Daniel have a drinking problem: Borderline. If I was him, I'd be drinking alot too! But I agree with Steve that we don't need to set up an intervention...just keep an eye on it.
And Bictoria didn't know about the hidden camera either until Helen Crowley showed her the proof when she went to confront Victoria (and then met her deserved demise).
7. When/how should Emily tell Jack everything? I honestly don't know... I'm just excited to see it happen! I always knew Jack was an interesting and important character, so I'm glad all the "haters" will finally see it too. I agree with others that Emily most likely won't just sit him down one day and reveal everything. It'll happen in a majorly dramatic way and probably not how she'd like it to go down. I just pray he won't be mad at her forever... that he'll understand she HAD to protect her real identity.
6. Are you over the initiative plot: Yes, yes, and YES! They're both confusing and boring. The good news is, I heard that plot will be wrapped up in the next few episodes. It'll be interesting to see how they wrap everything up in a nice little bow, since they affect so many characters. But mainly I'm just excited to see them disappear!
5. How will Eli complicate Emily's plans: greatly! It's now common knowledge (via a sneak peek vid) that Eli will recognize Emily and even call her "Amanda" at the Stowaway. Whether he gives away her real identity (which would ruin EVERYTHING) or blackmails her for his silence, that remains to be seen. But either way, it'll keep me on the edge of my seat.
4. More useless: Declan, with Ashley a close second. I don't consider Charlotte to be useless because, although she has been on the back burner thus far in season 2, she IS Emily's sister--and Victorias daughter. So Charlotte has great potential to be useful. Although Declan doesn't have much noticeable use, he's the only family Jack has left. If the writers kill off Declan, Jack will probably go really dark (which is something I don't think I want to see). Jack deserves to have at least one family member left!
PS: Mike Kelly once hinted that somebody will give Jack a new dog... I hope it's Emily that does this. Jack could use a "mans best friend" right about now....
3. Biggest surprise: Jack confronting Emily--and Emily almost telling him everything. First of all,you rarely see Jack lash out at anybody, let alone his friends. Emily is in just as much as Jack is, so for him to act that way (albeit deservedly), it was heart wrenching. But as Nolan said, this is not the right time for Emily to unveil all her secrets. Jack needs time to properly mourn his wife first.
2. Most confusing plot: the Americon Initiative. Although the writers have given us some clarity, I'm still confused by them. I want all my questions answered--and their plot wrapped up quickly.
1A: Favorite quote: "Control, alt, delete. Got it."
1B: Favorite scene(s): Both Nolan and Aiden attempting to comfort her. (Nolan promising never to go anywhere, and Aiden giving her that hug. Plus they both do basically anything she asks. They have her back, even when her walls are up and emotionally pushes them away.
Why does so many people want Jack to have died? Just because he's a nice guy who's morally-sound? Come on! Some people (like me) actually find that appealing. Is his character as "fun" as someone like Victoria? No. But if EVERY character was like Tyler or fauzmanda, the show would be very one-dimensional. If Jack died, I bet you'd surprise yourself by missing him. A show like Revenge NEEDS a moral center! The only negative comment about Jack that I'd agree with is that he needs a better haircut. I really liked what he had during season 1. Very sexy... ;)
How many comments are needed before one becomes a "regular?" I feel like I've made many comments about Revenge all year and yet I'm still a "guest!" How frustrating...
They wouldn't be where they are today without you, and no matter where they go from this point forward, they'll never forget about you. And neither will we. (Personally, I spent all of season 1 hating you. But after you apologized for stealing Emily's childhood sweetheart when you knew she still had feeling for Jack, I finally forgave you and started to accept you as one of the Hamptonites. It figures that you die just as I was warming up to you and begrudgingly happy for your new family--making Jack happy since Emily wasn't in a place where she could fulfill that role. But such is life i guess. Just know that you'll be--surprisingly--missed. RIP!
5. The initiative seems too cunning to be fooled by the Grayson's, but I do believe their arc will come to an end perhaps by end of season 2. (Although i'm not sure if it'll be due to the Grayson's or Emily and her crew.) Quite honestly, I haven't much liked the initiative plot. I'm hoping the Revenge writers find a way to tie this all up nicely--and quickly--so we can move on to more emotionally-meaningful arcs.
6. I agree with Steve that Conrad does make for a witty, smooth-talking yet morally-bankrupt lawmaker. It's in his genes. Besides, he isn't doing anything else right now except for flippantly reading newspapers, golfing, and making Victoria crazy. (Lol I love watching them interact!)
7. RIP to the real Emily Thorne... you may have been fauxmanda, but you were a true friend. And although you stole Emily's childhood sweetheart with your stripper ways, your loyalty to to those you care about (Emily, Jack, little Carl) has made a positive impact. They wouldn't be where they are today without you, and no matter where they go from here on out, they will never forget you. And neither will we.
1. Favorite scene: Naturally, it was the end scene between faux-Emily and fauxmanda. Close runner up was Mandy sacrificing herself to save Jack. Both scenes tore at my heart strings!
2. Yes, this was definitely the best ep of season 2 thus far. I'm excited to see what happens the second half of the season!
3. Will Jack survive? Please God, yes! The possibility of him and Emily rekindling their original childhood romance is what keeps me watching with bated breath... :)
4. Yes fauxmanda's death has renewed Emily's purpose and focus for her original revengenda. Get ready for some red sharpie action!
It's annoying that we have have to wait another 3 weeks (until March 10th) to find out what happens next. It's hard enough waiting 1 week, let along 3! And weren't we just on a mini-break?! Come on guys at ABC: this is pure torture!!!!
Definitely the best show of Season 2 thus far! I had my fair share of tears for Amanda's death--I can't elieve she's gone just when I was starting to finally warm up to her!
Who/how will get Jack out of the mess: ultimately Emily. Since he's clearly over his head, fauxmanda will probably reach out to her bestie from cell block D. Emily always finds a way to handle things.
4. Team Aiden and Emily: yes they're doomed. Although I think Aiden's currently her best option since Jack has his hands full at the moment (and Daniel was always be a Grayson), his time a Emily's beau won't last forever because his determination to find his sister (his original mission) will always come first. Their paths will come upon a fork in the road at some point--and probably in the near future, from the looks of things!
5. Most intriguing twist: the possibility of Aiden's sister being alive. If its true, it could be a total game-changer! (the plutonium-thingy is too techy for me to currently wrap my head around).
6.
1. Favorite scene: and the winner is... Conrad Grayson! He really surprises me sometimes. I was tickled by how glib he was in reading the newspaper and pretending to answer the phone. Meanwhile Victoria fumed and paced in circles...lol. I just love watching these two interact!
2. Favorite Nolan Ross quote: "Fake-up" is my new favorite word! :D
3. Return of red marker: was glorious! Oh how I had missed it! I agree that not every episode can be about calculated take-downs of specific culprits, because otherwise the show would end sooner than later--which ISN'T good! But I also agree that there needs to be some structure, and that the story doesn't get so big that we lose focus on all the fun Revenge. :)
5. Would I invest in Stonehaven: Hell to the NO! (I'm not as brave as the rest of these Hamptonites are, especially since I know what the intiative is capable of!)
6. Conrad as a politician: I think he'd be a natural! Although he's a scoundrel and I personally wouldn't vote for someone I couldn't trust, I think it'll make for delicious tv-watching! Conrad has the thick-skin, ruthlessness and connections needed to be a politician.
7. most likely to get shot: my money is on Nate Ryan...he hasn't made alot of friends lately! Padma is also bound to a similar fate, but first she has more destruction to accomplish. Poor Nolan! He really is the sacrificial lamb reporting the the slaughter!
