Ugh, I can't believe I forgot to mention that in my review. Yes! Jane telling LaRoche that Lisbon is his partner has definite significance. He trusted her to allow him to take the lead with LaRoche's secret and hopefully he'll trust her with what he learns about Red John as we head into the finale. I can't wait to see what they have in store for us next week.
ABC hasn't issued many renewals yet. We should get the news on most shows by the first week of May. But Body of Proof did win its time slot in the ratings the last two weeks so fingers crossed, we'll get a season 4.
You're right. I should have mentioned Harris and his mother. Sometimes this show throws so much into an hour it can be easy to overlook an important moment. Yes, when Harris' momma called Emma "our daughter" that definitely made me squirm.
As for Sue Ellen, she knows Gary's the weak link and was definitely playing him. I look forward to seeing where that leads since Sue Ellen learned her manipulation skills from the master.
Yeah, the picture thing bugs me too. Although I can't update them myself, I'll see what I can do to get it changed. Keep your fingers crossed and give me a little time. I'm working on it.
I know! Although I'm enjoying Judith Light in the role of Harris' crazy momma, that is some weird casting. I have to put the very minor age difference of the actors out of my mind while I'm watching.
Yes, I am definitely female but I actually didn't like Nico at first because of his bad boy image. I rooted for Matt & Dani most of season 1. Since then, I've had 2 problems with their relationship.
First, I honestly don't believe Dani wants to have more kids. She's lived that life & she's never been enthusiastic about starting over. She's scared of losing Matt but I don't think that's a good enough reason to have a child.
Second, we've seen more of Matt's selfish side both at work & in his relationships (TK, Noelle, Dani). We're all flawed but in the long term I think this will come out more rather than less.
For all of Nico's bad boy image he frequently puts his efforts into helping others, specifically those he cares about & that makes him a pretty good guy in my eyes.
As a viewer, Nico is the more interesting, mysterious character & I think if he & Dani get together there's far more to explore story wise than if she settles down with Matt.
"Also did anyone notice Drew called Elena, Ellie?. Foreshadowing JR1/Ellie, JR2/Sue Ellen and now JR3/Elena"
I never noticed that but you're right. That's kind of cool. If I get to interview any of the writers of the show again I'll have to ask if that was planned or simply coincidence.
I've always had a soft spot for RJ being Virgil Minelli. He's charming in his own way, has a bit of an ego, and certainly knows the inner workings of the CBI. Back in season one he was my pick and although they've thrown lots of twists, turns, and other suspects along the way, I wouldn't be unsatisfied if he turned out to be our guy.
To Rach, Relbelle, Soapjunk, and all the other Grey's Anatomy fans.
I'm going to make a confession. I don't watch Grey's Anatomy. Please don't hurt me. I watch a LOT of TV but I can't watch everything.
That said, I do try to do research and add shows that I don't watch into my polls. For some reason I never thought of Grey's when I was coming up with this poll. I take full responsibility for the omission of Meredith and Derek and although I can't promise Grey's a spot on every list, I will make an effort to add them to my research in the future.
Thanks for your understanding and I hope you'll keep reading.
As much as I adore Caskett, since they're not married they didn't make the list. Given that Castle just got a drawer in Beckett's apartment, I'd say we have one to two seasons to go before we see these two walk down the aisle.
As much as I think Booth and Brennan were meant for one another, since they aren't officially married they didn't make the poll. With any luck they'll rectify that in the near future. ;)
Love your profiles of Red John. It will be great fun to eventually see how much you got right.
Also enjoyed your interpretation of the William Black poem and how it applies to the show.
"RJ, representing Death, cannot ultimately be defeated and must be accepted - even welcomed sometimes - for the reality he represents."
It got me to thinking about how much Jane accepted RJ in "Red Blinking Light" in season 4 when he literally used RJ to take down another serial killer.
Great discussions from everyone here. I wish I had more time to keep up with your conversations. :)
The USA network split this season into two parts. The first part was last summer and these few episodes are part two of season two (16 episodes in total)...if that makes any sense. There are two more episodes left until the hiatus.
The good news is that the network picked up the show for a third season so it should be back again next summer.
Legally, in the real world you are absolutely right but since Storybrooke came about due to a fairy tale curse, I can't say I was thinking of it that way when I answered the question. I was focusing on the emotional level and it bothers me that everyone wants to discount the 10 plus years that Regina raised Henry. On an emotional level I can see that it is confusing for all the characters involved. Henry loves both Emma and Regina. I'm sure some will disagree with me (and that's fine) but as far as being a parent goes, no matter what her intentions, Regina is far ahead.
I've got to go with Opie on Sons of Anarchy. Ever since Donna died, Opie has been on a long, painful, lonely road that lead him to the moment where he basically volunteered to have his skull bashed in to end it all while saving his best friend. It was damn hard to watch.
Yes, Terri is show creator Andrew Marlowe's wife. She did write (or co-write) two episodes last season: "Always" and "Cuffed"
Although she still seems very active with the show (per her twitter feed @TerriEdda) I believe she's stepped down from her writing duties to work on some other projects this year. Castle fans definitely miss her!
I'm Christine and I review The Mentalist here at TV Fanatic. You guys are amazing. I'm considering starting a Round Table for The Mentalist as we have for Castle & many other shows. If you've never seen our round tables you can check them out here:
http://www.tvfanatic.com/tags/round-tables/
I've been looking for a fan site to partner with but it seems that the most ardent fans are right here at TV Fanatic!
Here's how it works. I'll need 2 or 3 volunteers each week. After the show airs, probably Monday morning, I will e-mail out the round table questions. I'll need answers back within about 24 hours. You'll find the most difficult part of participating is keeping your answers to a couple of sentences.
If you'd like to volunteer, please send me a PRIVATE MESSAGE by clicking my name at the top of the post or using this link:
5. Even with a vest on he'd have to be Superman to sustain that many shots, survive the fall & swim through those currents but this is TV so he'll definitely be back.
6. This may be my favorite season yet. I've enjoyed every episode. Secret's Safe With Me is my favorite for the most romantic hand shake ever. Cloudy With a Chance of Murder would rank least for the bikini clad tramp straddling Castle but I still can't say I didn't enjoy the episode.
So sorry I missed being an official part of this week's round table but Hurricane Sandy took my power out just 20 minutes before Castle aired. She obviously wasn't a fan. But now that the power's back on, here are my answers...
1. The library scene. As soon as the 2nd guards showed up I knew that's where he was. Kate running into his arms was just perfect.
2. When she started telling Lanie about those e-mails I began to worry a little but thankfully her faith in him never wavered. On a side note, I wish we had witnessed the scene where she reads Castle those e-mails and we could have seen his reaction.
3. It did shock me a little when Lanie asked if Kate was sure but her job is also to look at the evidence so I guess I can forgive her for that.
4. I figured it out a couple of scenes before the big reveal. Still, it was a great way to bring him back this season.

The best information I can find about the song played during the burial procession is that it is called "Soon My Lord" and is from a CD titled "Chants from The Thin Red Line" soundtrack. Unfortunately I can't find an online version to verify that it is the correct song. If anyone has better luck please let us know and we'll add it to our official music list.
