I'm glad to be in the company of classy Dair fans. Though I don't fully believe in this let me just use some flattery here and say I guess the fandom is as classy as the pair it ships and the uber class that Dair exudes is reflected in their fan base as well ;) I hope Dair gets to be end game but even if the writers end up disappointing hundreds of Dair fans, I am going to lap up every second of screen scorching Dair-ness!

I always see so much creativity, good humor, tasteful language and character in most (not all) of the comments from Dair fans. There is always a touch of class, humility, open mindedness, practicality and passion in most comments from Dair fans compared to a majority (not all) of the totally crass, baseless, misogynistic and bordering on the psychotic comments from Chair (aka Chuck) fans.
I have decided to try and ignore the imbecilic remarks from some Chair fans (aka Chuck fans since they seem to hate Blair and wish her only bad). I mean how much more can you take of ..this is bad, this is wrong, I won't watch GG any more, isn't Blair married how could she etc. etc. etc. without just laughing at how pointless and based on absolutely no concrete arguments these complaints are! Imagine the irony of 'Chuck' supporters suddenly becoming bastions of morality! Lol! Ignoring them and basking in the glory that is Dair is the only way to show my support and hope that the GG writers maintain their sensibilities and allow Dair to be together for EVER!
Awwwwwwwwww so cute...how do I love Dair...let me count the ways...oh forget it there are too many! :) How natural they are together and how suited for each other...I just love this pair.
@Filzah...I sincerely hope what you said comes true. I doubt it but one can hope right?! I so want Dair to be together for ever :) The best and most unexpected and most suitable couple to ever emerge out of GG in particular and such shows in general...they are so made for each other and it's bordering on the insane to bring back the completely washed out and boring Chair together just to please some fans.
Thank goodness looks like the writers will keep Dair together at least for the next 3 weeks and I'm grateful for whatever little they throw the way of us Dair fans. I am sure they will then toe the yaaaaaaaaaawningly predictable line and get the boring-as-watching-paint-dry couple Chair together yet again but until the inevitable, snooze-inducing pairing happens again I am ready to take in every bit of the delightful, absolutely engaging and the only couple that matters on GG - Dair. Dair FTW!
@X - too true! That apart, Leighton and Ed are so good looking! Penn and Chace too! Plus Penn has a certain something about him that makes him seem much more interesting/multi faceted than Ed or Chace...

@Lila...great point and a good comeback to the remark that Blair is whiny *now*! If anything, now she is awesome, free of the Chuck hangover. The times she has been great have been pre-Chuck and post-Chuck - with Chuck she was always insecure, needy, and focused on only one type of thing- how to get/forget, keep/keep away from, trick/not get tricked by Chuck! All the other stuff about her being an intelligent young woman, being well read, having good taste in art, having pride in herself etc- we get to see more of that when she is with Dan. In reel life, as in real life, I wish for women and men to be in self-fulfilling relationships not self-destroying ones.
@Swede the Dairfan - apt comparison there. Dair truly is a great couple...a couple one just loves watching together onscreen since their rapport and chemistry is so natural, charming, multi-layered and refreshing.
The only way the writers can break up Dair is through the lamest, most contrived situation, and probably in order to appease the rabid Chair fanbase. I see no romantic, interesting, stimulating or in any way exciting reason for Chair because thy are like dead wood now. There is ZERO chemistry between Chair and Blair...they just seem washed out, hackneyed and completely uninteresting when they are together. Let Dair be and let Chuck FINALLY read the writing on the wall and MOVE ON!
As for the Serena SL - sorry nothing so great about it...I thought Serena would be given a much more substantial SL...didn't she do this same thing with Chivy - so nothing new here. Plus, though I think Lola looks kinda cute, on repeated viewing I find her a little whiny and annoying so not sure I especially want to see much of her.
@Dr. Holland-heard of proportion?Either you made that point in order to be argumentative,or you have no sense of proportion re. the scenes that Chair shared vs. those that Dair did.If the former is the reason,then go ahead on your own since I don’t want to argue.If the latter,then please go back & count the number of episodes/scenes/instances where Chair have been all loved up & romantic & compare that to the same scenes with Dair & do some basic arithmetic, & then you'll see that I made that remark purely based on quantity of screen time that could potentially impact a compilation video.

Viewing these Chair tributes and also the Dair ones just made me stronger in my belief that Dair, Dan and Blair belong together. They are like the ying and yang, like pasta and cheese, like spring and flowers...they just GO together. Already missing Dair and can't wait for GG to be back.
@ S I so agree with you. Except I wish that now on, now that Blair has realized/is honest about her love for Dan, we will see more from her side too...I mean a one way relationship can never work...'least not in real life and by the looks of it on tv too esp. with Chair. So with Dair, I do hope that as loving and giving as Dan is towards Blair, Blair will also be vocal about and more importantly will show her love for Dan.
And to some of the commenters - please, but if you think Dair lovers will not mention Dair on here you're being unrealistic! So nothing can be done about it now but I think the Dair contest should have been now when we have finally been given Dair, rather than back then when we were wishin' and hopin' for Dair but things hadn't taken off yet. Chair is so old that there were plenty of scenes to work with even in 2011. Just an observation as a fan of the series and this site. Have to admit that despite it being only the very early stages of Dair, the fans did a fab job making those videos.
Very nicely done and lovely videos all though I clearly knew my favorite :) And Ed and Leighton are just gorgeous to look at! The videos reminded me of why I used to like Chair way back when.
I thought the episode was good...the expectations from this show are so high given the past that even an episode that's better than many other mediocre shows, still falls short. Been watching since day1 and will till the show exists...have gotten so fond of the characters that I really cut this show a lot of slack...I think the whole team does try to get better with each show but they set the bar so high that it's difficult to reach that every time!
(Rubs eyes and looks at poll)...a majority (48.4%) thinks Dair is end game!!!? My my will wonders never cease! Two episodes where they have actually gotten together and barely that...and just a few kisses and whoaaa looks like this couple has ignited everyone's imagination! They are just THAT adorable together. Way to go Dair! Well, irrespective of whether they are the "popular' couple or not, I love Dair and will always ship them.
