Yeah I'm kind of with Joe on Lip, which is interesting because I thought he was the most intriguing character from season one. This story with Karen is getting old quickly. It's been done many times before, and it's been done much better.
jen, I like the idea that it could be lucas under the sheet. he's been away from us for so long that it wouldn't be as heartbreaking as nathan being under there. either way i'm scared for that reveal.
I don't have an issue with using stereotypes for humor. In the two or three episodes I watched of 2 Broke Girls, none of their offensive humor was actually funny, so I stopped watching.
I completely agree with Leigh here. Like much of this season, Modern Family wasn't all that funny this week. The characters have seemed to run their course, and it's time for the writers to come up with funnier plot lines and dialogue. Their shticks aren't going to be enough at this point.
Glad to see our readers were happy with the finale this morning. Word is that a lot of people out there were disappointed/frustrated. Like these first four to comment on my review, I absolutely adored this finale.
The special was the worst thing I've seen on television since I put myself through the first episode of Whitney this past September. My Name Is Earl did a similar thing a few years back, where they spoofed 50s tv with black and white cameras, a laugh-track, the whole nine. The difference was that the actors and writers are funny so they made it work in a comedic sense. Nothing about this attempt was funny, unless you wanted to laugh at the mere fact that they were doing it. As in, is this really happening? Are 8 million people watching this train wreck right now? Kinda funny.
Blake, every review is going to be an opinion. If not, then all you will be doing is stating what happened in the episode. Check out our episode recaps for that. You may not agree with some of my negative opinions of Terra Nova, so let us know what you loved about the episode. There are definitely aspects of the show that I enjoy, as witnessed by my review above.
Yeah the fact of the matter is that America voted to send Rachel home. We all should not be hating on Nicole as much as we are, because in the end, Marcus was the one that the majority of people wanted to stay. The only reason I will come down on Nicole is because it was obvious that she thought Rachel was better. She thought Rachel was better and should have stayed, and just didn't want to be the one to send Marcus home, so she left it up to America. In this case it worked out for her, because America sided with her decision, but the point is that she didn't know that. In that situation, you have to go with the person you think should stay. Don't leave it up to America just because you don't want to be the bad guy.
While I certainly see where you're coming from Matt, I disagree that Grace's actions were merely contrivances. Isn't her failing to tell her mom or brother about what she was doing because they don't share her new found beliefs? This was an activity she wouldn't have told anyone, so I felt it made sense in this case.
