I didn't think it was awful. It wasn't the best season premiere but Grey's has been way past its prime for awhile now. Nonetheless, I thought it was solid and most DEFINITELY emotional! I was boo'hooing like a freakin baby the whole time. (thanks Shonda...sheesh). Anyway, I think they are going to give Lexie a proper send off next episode; it was just too much to stuff into one episode. I like the way they sent him off though, I guess they learned from how the sent off George that they did it nicely this time. SMH. Lastly, I thought that while this episode was solid and decent, it was lacking something for me...I'm not sure what it is. BTW, Booty Call Bailey was HYSTERICAL but I miss Nazi Bailey. Bring her back! Meredith is kicking ass too!!!! I'm excited for this season to see how things unfold!!
I'm looking forward to everything in SHONDALAND!! Grey's, Scandal, PP...EVERYTHING!!! Two weeks cannot go by fast enough! I'm also super excited for HIMYM!
If Sandra Oh doesn't get an emmy this season...I might flip a couch. That woman is beyond AMAZING and it really dumbfounds me to know that she hasn't won one yet. SMH. Excited for this season though!!! I can't wait to see what happens!
IZZIE! I really think that was his one true love to be honest. Watching the old episodes, the two of them never really got a chance to be fully happy. First, he cheated on her with Olivia, then Denny the ghost happened, then the cancer, then she left him. It just wasn't fair and I don't think they got a real shot to be happy together. But I highly doubt that will happen...maybe since the actress who played Lucy, show got cancelled, maybe she'll return? I just feel like he deserves someone to make him happy and resolved.
This should be PP's last season. Have it end on a high note Shonda, and with all of the original characters (well most). For this season, I would love to see Addison get back to her fabulous yet adorably awkward ways. Remember the first season of PP when the pilot started in a crossover in Grey's? She was so funny!! This show needs more of that, which is why I think the ratings dropped so low. While this past season was it's best season yet, the drama of it all got a little melo-dramatic and anti climatic. The constant back and forth with Sam is getting old, as well as the Violet and Pete thing (thank God that's over.) Get back to the roots and end it well!
I was actually thinking about this and it wouldn't be that far off. He was definitely in pretty bad shape when the finale ended. I just hope not and that Shonda is just teasing. I can't handle Cali losing yet ANOTHER loved one (Remember George?). Just don't let Mark or Arizona die! I can't deal!
Also, Miranda W., some schools have rolling admissions so a lot of kids don't know they are getting into schools until the summer. Also, with performing arts schools, it's such an intense application and audition process that it takes longer to get in to.
Although I'm sure the Glee writers did not think that much into it. So I'm also sure I just gave them an excuse.
Question: Isn't Mercedes only a junior? I could have sworn they said Mercedes was a junior at the beginning of this season. If so, another hole in the plot Glee....
Other than that, I can't say that Glee has returned to it's "glory days" of season 1, but it is certainly doing so much better than that mess that it started off with. What an ending. I know I DEFINITELY cried when Finn broke up with Rachel, especially on the day she thought she was going to get married to him! How rude. I know I wouldn't have taken it as well as she did, so kudos to her for that.
Kurt's Dad dancing to single ladies had to be the best scene of the season. Actually in the history of the show. I think I laughed for about 5 minutes.
Also, does anyone else think Merecedes is being overshadowed? Amber Riley is hands down the best singer on the show, yet doesn't get to be a star. I hope they fix this on season 4 and get back to focusing on character development. It's showing promise now.
I haven't watched house for much of this past season, due to reasons that I think we all know. But after watching the series finale, I think they did an okay job with what they were working with. To be honest, this should have been a 2 part finale and sent it off in the right way. I think they only had so much time to work with, that they just left out a lot of key points that some would think were "minor details".
In any event, House and Wilson riding off into the sunset together was perfect; the last line he mutters before he "dies" he says "I can change" and does this wonderful thing for his best friend. I appreciate that no matter how cheesy it was. I would've loved to see Cuddy in as his subconscious though. It would've made sense! This is House though, so you can't always get what you want.
Farewell House! You were, in my belief, one of the best characters that TV has ever seen. Your wit will be missed!
The president and Olivia's story is so heartbreaking. It reminds me of Meredith and Derek from the earlier years of Grey's. The way he looks at her with those sad eyes and the way she looks at him..it's just UGH...unbearable.
The first lady is a b*tch. Excuse my language, but what a vindictive and horrible excuse for a woman. I understand she's in a loveless marriage, but damn. It wouldn't surprise me one bit that she still has something to do with the murder of Amanda Tanner.
But what did shock me was that it was Cyrus. Olivia knew but everyone brushed it off like I did. There was no way he could do it...no way! And then BAM! He did and just talked about it like it was nothing while he was gardening....ASKLFJALKJFLASJFA!!!!!!!
Okay I'm done being a 5 year old lol. I'm just so in love with this show. Masterfully written, well executed, superb acting; there hasn't been a show like this on TV in a long time. Job well done Shonda Land!
I'm really sad that Lexie is gone, but looking back on it, I can see where they were going to do that this season. Her lack of a story line besides the Mark mess and the fact that Marc never responded to her speech are now obvious pre-cursors. What a heartbreaking end to that love story though. I was rooting for them...
I don't see how they are going to bounce back from this! George dying took the hospital a long time to bounce back from, but THIS?? This hits home in a way like no other...
@NurseMom--That's what I was hoping too lol. Wishful thinking I guess....
This finale was just...I can't even explain it. I was most definitely shocked that it was Lexie, but Shonda was right; it was someone lovable. For a minute I thought Marc was going to die too; thank God he didn't. Poor Callie, she just went on and on about how happy she was and how great she's feeling about her life; but little does she know that the love of her life and her best friend AND father of her child is dying.
Does anyone else think that Arizona isn't out of the woods yet? She's coughing up blood and has a bone sticking out. I'm a little concerned.
All in all, a gut wrenching, devastating episode, but great as always. I'm already itching for next season to begin!
No it can't be Zola. That wouldn't be unpredictable, it would be just cruel. Derek's hand being smashed is grueling enough. I honestly don't think Shonda would go that low...
That being sad, I'm not going to predict anymore who's going to die, because I honestly don't know. It might be Jackson for all we know; since he went to chase April and, he is quite lovable. All I know is this season finale is going to pull out my heart strings.
Between this finale, and the finale of PP and what I'm sure will be a face pounding finale of Scandal, I'm glad Shonda land is going on hiatus for until the fall. My emotions are all over the place!!
Oh, and Pete and Violet need to go. Like right now. Remember the days of PP when Pete was the hot mysterious guy that kissed Addison in the stairwell?? *rolls eyes*
I'm high fiving you Christina Tran! I can hardly wait for next season because this episode was FANTASTIC. Caterina Scorsone, much like Sandra Oh from Grey's anatomy absolutely deserve AT LEAST an Emmy nod. Her pain was almost unbearable for me, and I've never been pregnant! Intense to say the least...
Elsewhere, I'm over the Sam/Jake/Addison triangle. Honestly, let Addie be happy for once! She's always torn, even from her days on Grey's. But if I had to predict, she's going to choose Sam and Jake is going to leave the practice. Which would be really sad because he's so nice to look at. UGH. BTW, that little Henry is the cutest baby in the world. Do you see his chubby little cheeks?!!?!
I also cried when Mason said he wants to call Charlotte "mama". I think I cried the entire episode. Simply well done and this show deserves some well warranted recognition. Can't wait for next season!! Is it fall yet? :(
