    anna, i adore ian and i haven't seen any bashing. people just have been stating that he can't act. Or well, that he hasn't really got a chance to show his acting skills. Not since season 1.
    CRITIZING isn't bashing. if i write a story and somebody completely dispises it and tells me i'm a bad writer, i say "ok, what can i do better in your opinion?"
    and best actor in the world? are you sure? are you REALLY sure? better than denzel washington? better than bruno ganz? meryl streep? colin firth?

    remember season 2, when dean was standing infront of his dead father's grave and asked him why their family has to suffer so much? Or when John died? When SAM died and you could tell he was completely broken just by the look in his eyes? Or when Dean said "I don't wanna die, Sam"? When he actually died and looked into Sam's face for the last time and had this sad smile on his face? When he tortured Alastair (the demon who tortured him in hell)? When he first told Sam about his experience in Hell - "I wish I couldn't feel a damn thing"? The Season 5 finale?
