Ok so why would Alicia point out things that could hurt Peter's campaign? As much as Maddie was a 'friend', it was not best to let her in on weaknesses of any sort, especially since her friendship was suspicious from the beginning. From what we saw, Alicia and Maddie shared more awkward moments than open conversations, so how did it reach to that point where Alicia got personal? How long have they been friends for? Alicia should have asked more questions, just because someone is throwing money at you, does not mean they would not have an agenda.
Why didn't August just approach Emma with the box and convince her to go to Storybrooke to fulfill her destiny. This same situation August created for Emma made her hardened to trust anyone which may have worked against everyone. Emma got the keys for the car, but did she get the money? August spoke of being tempted to the world he lived in, it would be no surprise if he took the money for his own merit. Why didn't he still have the chest when he came to Storybrooke?
Neal was so refreshing, I wonder if he knows he has a son? At least August kept up his word to send Neal a postcard, still doesn't make it any less heartbreaking.
Still are they just going to ignore her? It seemed odd that she wasn't at least mentioned. "I hate to pull you away from Jackie, but your skills are needed". I assumed since the 'scandal' they would air the final episodes of her then proceed without her if that be the case, but if the 'scandal' had not existed, would these episodes be as is?
Remember in the first season when Danny had like two partners, each at different times? Many preferred Jackie and so Jackie became a constant. She added a certain spunk to the series.
*sigh* Wanted to find out what would happen between Kate and Ben now neighbors. That would have been an interesting dynamic. The series just took too long to have Kate figure out what she wanted.
Alicia should have played 'hard to get' with Maddie. Let's be friends with nothing much in common is too easy. Alicia played along because Maddie was the money for the campaign as she put it. Maybe Maddie is genuine and just wants a friend, that's probably what Alicia kept thinking. Something was fishy from the beginning when Maddie gave Diane the impression that she would let up on the building as the new owner. Alicia should have been a tad more curious to avoid this dilemma and now she has to play along or be played. Clearly all Alicia wanted from her was her money and to keep her happy, those relationships go sour fast. Especially if you clearly have no real friendship beyond the ice breaker.
Alicia's 'friendship' with Maddie Hayward was awkward here. Did Alicia truly say her life was boring? Anyone would grab at the chance to write an article on her. It's still odd how Alicia didn't stick to her word by not bringing up campaign talk. Hayward has this strange way about her. You can't tell what her intentions are with Alicia. People have become friends for less, but it just seems like they don't have much in common. Their conversations tend to be tense at best, that it just puts you in a statue. Not to mention how Alicia tried to manipulate the conversation by quashing concerns made my Eli. Pretty unnerving way to have a friendship, especially if it involves money.
What would be interesting is if she knew Alicia in the past, but Alicia forgot somehow. What would happen if Alicia wants out of the friendship? Would she pull out as a sponsor?
Also loved how Michael felt so attached to his jacket being on in the beginning. Kept wondering why he would be so jittery, so fun when we got the reveal.
Could he have laced up her shoes with any less rage. Olivia could have done it herself. As much control the president may have, it's good to see Olivia overpower that with her strength and to not be easily controlled.
As for Abby and David, did not like that pairing so much. David suggested getting information on Olivia from the 'inside', which may be tough if he is using Abby for that reason. Was that bar meeting coincidence? Doubt it. Olivia keeps almost everyone in the dark, including Quinn.
Who else thought the high school girl eating a sandwich was younger Emily at high school. It's funny how we have grown accustom to that kind of storytelling that the writers can still pull one over on you. It got a bit annoying when she attempted to ridicule the girl, but eh. It's tough separating Hartley from his action packed character on Smallville, he seems more laid back.
People have been making many comparisons to Grey's Anatomy, but we get more of a look inside Emily's head. We become her eyes, ears and thoughts. Is it just a stereotype of most teaching hospitals, or do all interns learn the way of the hospital like this? If so then this pilot is being used to introduce all characters with this tactic. It does however make you want to see how Emily deals with her awkward adulthood teen life. Do we ever really grow up?
Bay has been the outsider since the beginning. It was unfair that Toby's gambling was swept under the rug and treated with a small lecture, but Bay was scolded by her actions. Bay did wrong by stealing that money for her friend, but she also has a big spirit and a lot of love in her heart. Her friend was in trouble and Bay was frightened for her safety. In return none of that was recognized. How can a child learn to become their own, if everything they do is puked on? The treatment her parents gave her was unspeakable.
Bay had all the best intentions, but her actions were misguided. It is heartbreaking that Bay suffered that kind of humiliation. She has a desire for art and her parents treated her as though she were indifferent. Worse yet, they don't even realize how horribly they treated her. Mainly because they just don't understand Bay. How is it Daphne learns more from Regina and Bay has no real parent to turn too? Truly awful.
The Zara story was okay, until she asked Bay for money. It was fun having Bay have a friend that she connected with. It did move fast, but sometimes friendships can be like that. What was naive; Bay expecting Zara to pay her back so soon or right then. How would Zara have made it out without Bay? That tainted the friendship. I was also hoping since Bay had more rest time without Emmet, that she and her ex would reconnect, but she flat out used him. Like Zara used her.
It seemed more like Daphne and Scuba had more of a connection in the beginning. After hearing that chef slept with your best friend's mother, that should turn off anybody.
1. Alicia and Cary scenes were very genuine. Their relationship has transformed from the bitter sweet.
2. There was a reason Kalinda married him and another why she left. Was he abusive? There is just too much uncertainty that goes beyond sex for these two. Maybe this is where we discover how 'Kalinda' began.
3. It seems pointless. All Peter did was tell the guy to back off, he would have clearly done the same for his own son. Maybe it may work in Peter's favor next time their paths cross.
4. The Trustee is simply there to help the business and he's good at his job. There is no friend or foe in this picture, just someone for the business.
Emily's and Ashley's 'friendship' was the biggest shocker. "Lunch sometime". She didn't waist time with Daniel, not to mention how much she loathed Emily before. What's the deal now with those two, a truce?
Conrad's biggest low would be the way he treats Charlotte now. You probably just hate him more than Victoria.
Definitely Jack's lack of chemistry with Amanda. She seemed like baggage to him. Which is strange since they had an intense 'love connection/romance' before. Awkward.
It looked like an old/mature man. It could be Jack, either of Emily's 'mentors' or someone we have not been introduced to yet.
He actually doesn't want to be sheriff which suits his character perspective. It's more like he is thrown into this world. Pretty interesting with strong actors made for a short film each week. Hope to discover more about how he and his brothers got into the ranch business.
Catherine kicked ass, she showed she could handle herself. Although when it came to it, leaving McGarrett's mother alone could have ended poorly. I thought Steve was a bit reckless bringing his mother home when Wo Fat's transfer wasn't confirmed. From the moment those transport vehicles were on route an escape attempt was already in place. The amount of man power that went into that escape, it was reckless of Delano to pull a heist on his own. Why put so much effort in freeing Wo Fat to get shot in the end? What did he really do for Delano? That part made little sense, except to corner Doris in the end. The random three shots fired from Doris was odd. It was hidden from us for a reason. Wo fat seemed to know her, giving their relation more credibility.
As for Danny, why not move again for his daughter? Also how much times would Rachel follow Stan around, constantly uprooting her daughter's life?
Sam has a lot of work cut out for him. His actions of affection seemed determined by this life changing situation. It's like he realized he could lose Andy and spilled his guts. That in itself could be a double edge sword. As much as Sam tried to reach out to Andy before, he barely touched the surface. He was holding a lot of pain inside him. I believe we need to get more insight into to who Sam is and what makes him think. His decisions would always be compromised if he chooses to act out of impulse and always at the last possible moment.
i don't know why things are so awkward now between Jane and Billy. I had always hoped for that strong friendship between them to remain for a little longer, rather than have these small teenage mistakes/impulses mess them up as a team completely.
As a fan of 24 I thought they kept saying Nina, her name on 24. I kept wondering if things would turn out the same. She is an interesting addition.
I think Auggie sensed that Annie could not talk. He probably gets it, so long as she knew she could call him if things went beyond a point she could handle.
Peter's true friendship for Niel was confirmed when he admitted that he gave the signal for Niel to run and be free. Every inch of Peter is to "do it by the book". As much as his friendship means to him, it would be more in character if Peter found a legal way to help Niel, that did not also incriminate himself and his team. It was reckless of Peter to leave the map available, when he himself repeated how ruthless Collins was. He should have been more careful. It's ironic how much Peter thought he was helping Niel, when Niel was fine and Peter's actions lead Collins straight to Niel. Peter should have trusted that the better way to help Niel would be to leave it alone. Probably helping slow down the process on his end would have been more helpful.
I understand her independence as a mother, but Parker had just began to develop a relationship with his son. The least she could have done was be a bit understanding to his situation. "Ok Eric say goodbye to daddy". Saying things like "we did fine without you", that would be fine if she gave him a chance to be a dad in the beginning and he refused her. It was unfair of Eric to walk in when his dad was saying the irrational things when right before his mother was playing the same game.
The judge asked the necessary questions for Eric's benefit, but she also did not consider whether Parker had the capability to adapt. He was not an unfit parent.
