Just want to say that I love this show and I don't always want to be comparing it to Buffyverse but the sinking of Stefan in the box is pretty much what Connor did to Angel. But without the psychotic doppelganger of course :)
I care about Katherine the human! With several characters leaving for The Originals, hopefully she will be a full time character. And maybe we'll finally address the issue of whether Stefan really loved her and she really loved him. Also, her getting the cure was something I didn't see coming. With Damon and the werewolf venom I thought it would be him, then I thought it would be Stefan, but I never thought it would be Katherine.
Yeah, when he appeared as Caroline and not just Shane and started talking about being whoever he wanted I was like hey look, its The First! But way less scary. Also, Shane has died and Caroline has also technically died so until he starts appearing as Matt its like a total copy. Not that I really mind that much if I'm honest. There's a whole bunch of stuff that can be compared to Buffy but if I start doing that someone will get really annoyed probably!
All I know is I'm excited to see what happens. Because even when sometimes I'm watching it thinking OMG what the hell do they think they're doing?!? it usually all works out good in the end :)
I think Damon will die, so they others will join Shane not just in looking for the cure but in raising Silas so he can raise the dead. Then Damon will brought back to life but will maybe be human? This will break the sire bond. The cure will be destroyed, Elena will remain a vampire and Klaus will leave for the spin off because there's no hope of him making any more hybrids.
Biggest waste of a guest star: So far nobody. Shane, April and Hayley are only just getting started and I'm looking forward to where they go next.
Hopes for 2013. Elena fighting with Stefan and Caroline to convince them that she has real (non-sire-bond-y) feelings for Damon. Damon and Elena together in a no-sex-because-you're-sired-but-I-love-you-and-this-is-building-up-the-sexual-tension-nicely kind of way. Rebecca back and more plot for April. Dark Bonnie. Best Episode: The Killer. Love vamp Elena finally getting her murder on!
Worst Episode: O Come All Ye Faithful. I don't think that really needs an explanation! Though I did like it more 2nd time round.
Best Character: Elena. Ok, so being sired takes away her independence a bit, but I like seeing her stronger, more capable, and forcing her feelings on Damon rather than the other way round.
Worst Character: Bonnie. Those flickering lights were lame girl. But I'm hoping things will pick up for her later in the season as she gets more into this "expression" business.
Best Storyline: Silas and the mysterious need for 12 of everything.
Worst Storyline: I'm actually not going to say the sire bond. Its frustrating but I do understand it as a plot device. What I didn't like was, though I love the Jeremy storyline, him being all mystically convinced not to kill Elena because of something to do with Bonnie? Way too easy and not very convincing.

More impressive physique: Don't hate me but Jeremy's arms are TOO big for my tastes :) Nina Dobrev is looking good this season. A few extra pounds suits her. And Damon of course!

Just want to say I re-watched the episode and I actually liked it quite a bit more second time around. Klaus' killing spree was obviously the best bit but, even though I ship Delena :) and I didn't want Damon to send her away, I think it would have been impossible for the writers to let them carry on the way they were. Damon loves Elena too much to be with her when he has so many doubts in his mind. So yeah, its growing on me :D
It won't be Damon or Elena because if they die and come back to life it will most likely break the sire bond and they won't do that just yet, not after all the trouble and drama setting it up. I mean, its only been a plot line for two episodes!
