Thank you for saying that Felicity's reaction wasn' OOC. She's a woman in love. She's also a woman who did not say she loved him outloud and now be feeling guilty because everyone around her thinks Oliver is dead.
To be fair, the writers and Stephen Amell himself said he'd still be in the three episodes but in flashbacks. I would have felt more impact if they had just show Oliver being dragged and "revived" as one whole scene at the end of the episode. None of thought he'd die and its still a show about Oliver. What I was dissapointed was in how they brought him back. You all fail to see this from a Felicity's point of view. Felicity held out for as long as she could but the close call they had with Diggle and Roy, on top of Ray setting out to become the next vigilante was just too much for her to take. Keep in mind, it also hasn't been too long since Sara was murdered. If I was Felicity, I wouldn't want to loose any more friends. If anything, no offense but you all sound a bit whiny yourselves. It's Arrow, take the good along with the bad.
I kind of had this feeling that Katherine or Lexi are some likely candidates. Is Katerina really dead? Cause we just saw her being taken and a character like that deserves a better send off. Unlike in the books, Nina is a real person so I would assume its the main reason why we don't get her on double duty as much. However, if she came back would you guys accept her? For me, she would have to be more like Damon and be in the gray area. I don't want her to continue being evil but she will never be a goody two shoes.
Stephen Amell is actually a dirty blonde.
I thnk we will continue to see the flashbacks just not on the island.
@Carissa: Did you, for a second believed we might have actually seen either Felicity or Laurel dying. That scene with Slade, Oliver, Laurel and Felicity was intense.
Yeah, while it was a bit cruel, looking back I should have seen the ruse coming. Am I irritated? Yes. But does that mean I will stop watching the show? No chance in hell. @Carissa: I appreciated the passing of the canary jacket but I could have done without Sara telling Laurel: Oliver needs you. I get they are sisters and want to share everything but Laurel and Oliver should not get back together! :P
I think given how they revealed Amanda was the legs shown from last season, we will see more of her in season 3. So I'm assuming that means more suicide squad or at the very least more Deadshot and Lyla. Although with Dracula cancelled, I would loved to see Huntress appear in more episodes too. In some interviews Marc gave, he said season 2 finale was basically a series finale of sorts cause the first 46 episode were one huge character arc. I think Sara will receive the Merlyn treatment. In season 1, Merlyn appeared in close to half of the season but in season 2, he was only in 3 episodes. So I feel like at most 3-5 episode Sara will be in next season.
I agree with you both and its why I felt like regardless of the plan Ollie had, it felt OOC. We've seen him protect her when Slade infiltrated the Lair and kill Count Vertigo when he threatened Felicity's life. So for me, even if he's not in love with her, he does care for her. So, why was he all of a sudden okay with risking Felicity's life? Instead of the montage they had... I would have rather seen a scene between the two where both(or Felicity) comes up with the plan to trick Slade. Then have Oliver be against it cause he's risking another person but end the scene with Felicity saying:"It's my life, my choice."
I'm a bit dissapointed with the way they handled Slade and Felicity last night. Even if the Olicity moment was a bait- and-switch, there was no guarantee Felicity would make out alive... Slade could have figured out it was all a ruse or found the mirakuru cure and just snap her neck before Oliver could react. Even if he's not in love with Felicity, that just seem so OOC for Oliver who killed the Count to protect Felicity and when Slade infiltrated the Lair, he had been protecting her. Which brings me to my next point. In theory, Slade should have been smarter then that. He's no idiot. On the plus side, John Barrowman got promoted though! :) More Merlyn! :) However, I hope they stay away from a Laurel/Oliver/Felicity love triangle. It didn't work in season 1 with Tommy and Laurel and it wont work this season.
