Alex would have never betrayed Meredith in his right mind. He was drunk and hurt. My bets are he'll regret it when he sobers up, but by the promo, it looks like he took off. There's no point in sticking around once the damage is already done. If anyone, I blame Lucy for causing all of this.
This man has been hurt more times than any other character on this show. Every time he opens up and bothers to care, he gets burned. And yes, Meredith has always been there for him- but those aren't exactly the thoughts that run through your mind when you've just been sabotaged. They'll make it up somehow. I trust they will.
In the mean time, I'm nervous and excited for next week's finale. It definitely looks like it'll be a stab to the heart.
Has anyone else noticed the parallels between Izzie/Alex and Denny/Alex? If Alex and Izzie get engaged, it would be very similar to when Denny was in bedrest... though maybe this time there would be a happy ending?
