I'm hoping that it's a Mer/Der centered episode seeing as they have suffered the most trauma... Mer will realize that her baby (while being an important thing to her life that one day) that Derek is the one who truly matters to her, and with him she's a new person or something like that. it could also apply to all the other characters
guys... shut up. it's Shonda's Show.... let her do what she wants with it. The characters are her family, she created them. She is allowed to give the characters the life she wants. She can decide where it goes.

TYPICALLY recognized by law, that therefore means they are MARRIED. They aren't legally married, but they are still married. They do have the right to call eachother husband and wife.
Stop making a big deal of this, and try and see things from Shonda's point of view. and instead of complaining to a website where no one fomr Grey's will ever read it... TRUST Shonda who has brought us 6 great years of TV. She might give you something you want... you need to wait. This was an idea she thought good.... so she probably has an idea of where this is going to go.
Aries93: MerDer will still be there yes... but with all the extra cast- have you NOT been watching? MerDer time has been cut from 10 minutes an episode to maybe 2. The more cast members means less focus on the other cast. We don't get to see their characters. There is so much potential to be explored in each of the original cast members. We know VERY little about Derek... his background. We know all about mer, but VERY little about any of the other originals. Why don't they cut all the extra crap, and focus on showing us the TRUE characters is Grey's Anatomy

Maybe she was in a LOT of pain... But the fact that her HUSBAND, the LOVE of her life was about to die - that brings more pain then anyone could ever believe. She wouldn't have noticed that pain. Trust me, loosing a loved one is the most painful thing in the world, no pain could beat that pain.
As for Derek almost dying. They HAVE to have some drama... They couldn't kill off Patrick Dempsey, he's too sexy. And yes. he could have survived. There is a CHANCE - it just so happens that Derek won that chance. Stop being skeptical about the reality of the show. Ignore the parts that couldn't possibly be true, because if we were going to give a list, the WHOLE show is pretty much fake. But it's an amazing show nonetheless.
This was by far the most thrilling finale for me. It goes in my top 3 finales EVER. It was full of Drama and suspense, but in the end, it gives you a good feeling, and you think you know where the show is headed (which it will obviously change in a flash), but regardless, it kept me on my toes. I was weeping for most of the episode because it brought back to many memories and heartbreaks for me.
Meredith's miscarriage was the most heartbreaking thing i've ever seen. The whole baby storyline was. Right from the beginning you know she's going to loose it. It's too good to be true sort of thing. When i first saw how happy she was, i realized how much it would hurt her to loose it. I get where Shonda is coming from though. Her and Derek WILL work through this and then Mer will realize she really does want his children, and she will stop being scared of her issues, and they will be a family. Maybe not for a while, but they will.
I think that Cristina was SPECTACULAR during this episode. I really like someone's idea of her falling in love with Derek. That would have been an amazing idea for a storyline. It would have been brilliant, however they can't repeat a storyline (even though the haven't explore Aprils yet) because it would just loose ratings, and who would want to see the SAME thing happen again. Cristina deserves to be happy, but i think Jackson understands her. Owen doesn't get her need for surgery. He thinks she is cold and doesn't want to let her in. But Jackson gets that surgery is Cristina's life, and she couldn't give it up for anything. All veiwers understand that she needs it, it's been clearly evident since season one EPISODE one.
This was an excellent season finale. Even though the overall season was a piece of crap, i think that Shonda pulled it together and delivered in the end. I hope she keeps giving us the same quality as this finale for the remaining season(s).
Ok... there are TOO many cast members... It's gone beyond crazy. I have nothing against April being a full time member (well i hate her, but i would like to see ONE of the gazillion storylines Grey's has set out to follow this season actually play out) but there are too many cast members. Mer, Der, Cris, Owen, Teddy, Alex, Lexie, Mark, Avery, Webber, Callie, Arizona and Bailey. THAT IS 13 FULL time cast members. I hate what this show has become. It's 13 people's love lives. What happened to it being focused on the 5 original interns? Back then there were 8 full timers, but Webber wasn't as often. The cast just keeps growing, and it gets more complecated. I get that there is only so many love combinations that can be made with 8 members, but that doesn't mean you bring in more. It's too much. Much too much. I can respect Sarah Drew. But this is a mistake, and season 7 will not be back to MerDer life like they have stated. There is no way when they have 13 regulars to focus on.
Well. it's obviously MerDer, Calzona, or Cristina/Owen... I doubt it would be merder.. because then no one would watch the show anymore, and Shonda isn't that stupid. allthough they can easy get out of their 'post' it divorce without any trouble, and it would definitely leave them both devastated.
It would be nice if it were Cristina/Owen, because that would make for some interesting Teddy drama.
The whole season has just been fluff. It's not even a series anymore. They are just coming up with random things that don't link together. There are too many characters on the show, and they never focus on the remaining 3/5 main characters anymore. Where is the Mer/Der storyline??? they had about 1 minute of show time during the last episode, which was more then we'd seen in AGES. the whole show used to be about them, and now? nothing. It's too much change. I know this was supposed to be the one that 'changes' everything and all, but it's changed so much that it's not even the same show. If it's going to continue on like this, there is no point in even watching it anymore. Shonda's had a good run with this show, but maybe it's just time to end it. I love Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo, and without them together on a storyline, it's not Grey's Anatomy anymore. Meredith puts the Grey in Grey's, so bring it back!!!

Sorry Spaced.out but without the stupid and weird story lines, there would be no show. There would be no entertainment... you wouldn't like the show if it had simple storyline about the characters lives... They need to create something that people will continue to WATCH.
