I don't know if I would. I will certainly give it a chance, but the popularity of Gossip Girl isn't just because the plot is riveting. They cast is hot, and people love the already successful books. It's already been discussed that The CW's previous spin-off trials haven't been the most successful shows on the network, but you never know. If the drama is just as good, and young Rufus is gorgeous, the show might just be a hit.
As much as the age different creeps me out just a little, in Hollywood, it's not uncommon. It's kind of weird though because I have read statements where Chace has said it's weird kissing Taylor because she is so young. Nonetheless, they are both super cute, and down to earth. If they do happen to be a couple, we can rest easy knowing that although he may 'break her heart', he certainly wont corrupt her.
Ed Westwick really was amazing last night. I really saw him shine as an actor, seeing that he really could do more than just brute and be scheming. I'm sure he's made many more girls swoon over his dark and troubled character. Not to mention, he looks amazing, I like his hair messed up like that, very nice.
As for the Lily and Rufus' surprise, it has to be a boy. I don't know why, but a girl just doesn't seem right. If she kept the child, I could imagine a gorgeous blond model-esque young man with a certain knack for writing music. It would totally up the ratings. Not that they are needed after last night's episode.
My guesses are between Lily and Rufus, since Kelly is preggers in real life, and it would make everything a whole lot easier. Or perhaps Serena and Dan. It would also make way for the much anticipated reunion between the two. But my guess is anything, Gossip Girl can be predictable at times, but I think they are really taking us for a loop here.
