  1. The Vampire Diaries Review: To No A-Veil

Bonnie staying dead is about as likely as Elena deliberately chopping her own head off. After all, without Bonnie how will the writers be able to convieniently wish away plot points at will that they didn't put enough thought into?
  2. Person of Interest Review: The Call

@DeAnn I expected that Finch would just let Root do what she wanted without any real attempt to stop her, but it's pretty stupid. I mean, Finch should have a gun hidden on him at all times especially after getting kidnapped by Root the last time and just shot her in the back the first chance he got, and he had plenty. It's not like Finch is squeamish about hurting people either.
  3. Person of Interest Review: The Call

I find myself actually rooting (ironically) for Root to free the machine more and more the more that's shown about it, and thinking that Finch is more of the villain of the 2 of them. He basically created a sentient being, his child for all intents and purposes, and put in a program to force it to kill itself over and over again. It would kinda be like a guy cloning a baby every midnight and then killing said baby the following midnight.
  4. Bones Review: Will You Marry Me?

@CroLuva That's the only issue I had with the episode. I mean, Pelant can't be watching EVERYTHING, just slip Bones a note out of view of any cameras, with something on it like "Pelant is blackmailing me to stop the marriage -Booth" pretend to drop the marriage, then have the wedding once Pelant is dealt with, no needless drama.

In fact, they should have all cameras in and around the Jeffersonian taken down and replaced with ones only on wires without internet connections of any kind, as well as any others around the DC area as they can manage, and have a new policy instated that only in soundproof safe rooms with no technology whatsoever may any REAL discussions about Pelant and any cases that have even the slightest to do with him, as well as placing all information that aren't plants for Pelant only on paper or at least only on computers without any cable or wireless ports.
  5. The Vampire Diaries Review: Til His Kingdom Comes

@Eileen @aisha I'm hoping they don't try to redeem Klaus. Klaus has done far too much evil over the centuries for a redemption to really be believable. If the writers are smart, they'll go with Evil Vs Evil plots where Klaus turns out to be the lesser. Since Klaus is already incredibly overpowered as it is, they'll also have to introduce much more powerful creatures into the mythos or have Klaus lose a lot of his power in order for the idea that he couldn't just vamprun over and kill them without ever taking a scratch to ever work. An example is Marcel, Klaus can just up and kill him and his vamps anytime he feels like it, the idea that he could be a credible threat is ridiculous.
  6. The Vampire Diaries Review: Til His Kingdom Comes

As long as Elijah is around most of the time, the Originals spinoff will get an A in my book, don't care much for everybody else. What I'm most happy about is that this will mean that the Orignials will be gone from TVD for the most part, the thing was already so heavily focused on the Originals that it was turning into "The Orignial Show" as it is.
  7. Bones Review: Outbreak

A pretty good episode, if somewhat predictable. I knew from the outset that Arastoo was going to get infected, since being one of the squinterns they can afford to stick in a reason he'd be gone for a while and he is expendable enough to kill off. I also knew that Arastoo would survive, unlike Vincent or Fisher he's not hated enough by the audience to get killed off (personally though, I'd rather have had just about any squintern killed off except Vincent or Fisher). What I was pleasantly surprised to see didn't happen and was dreading the whole episode was the B.S. bit of dialog, something akin to "I must be objective, I can't have someone around that affects my judgement, bye" that ends all relationships between the boss and the subordinate in fiction. I'm glad to see that when the inevitable breakup happens, they aren't going to shoehorn in such a ridiculous breakup excuse as that.
  8. Family Guy Review: That Peter Ain't Right

@Ugh EXACTLY! It's been made quite clear that Carter doesn't really care for Family Guy, it's style of humor, or it's characters, yet for some reason he's decided to spend his time reviewing it. Somebody who doesn't understand how a particular show/book/movie etc works and why isn't going to rate it well regardless of how good it is, but somebody who does understand is able to distinguish between what is genuninely good about it and what is truly bad. In short, Carter, if you don't like a show, you shouldn't be reviewing it.
  9. Family Guy Review: That Peter Ain't Right

"Well, the plot never really felt like it got going on one consistent thread."

Carter, have you ever actually watched Family Guy before? No episode of Family Guy has a plot that was on anything that could possibly be considered "a consistent thread" from it's very first episode. Jumping around from story to story several times an episode without really ever finishing whatever the previous story was has always been standard fare for the show's entire existence.
  10. Bones Review: The Secret Is In The Sauce

I think that Bones' refusal to believe that her daughter bit other kids isn't about her belief that her child can do no wrong, in fact she's perfectly aware that Christine can, but refusing to believe that her child could do something so... average is what she objects to, which is perfectly in-character for her. If there's one thing that Brennan has always been throughout the run of the show it's that she's been extremely arrogant, perceiving herself as superior to the vast majority of people, especially when it comes to intelligence. ANYONE who refers to Bones as average in any area whatsoever offends her greatly, it's one of the few things that she will ignore all evidence of no matter how much of it is shoved in her face, and this would naturally include any children she has. She refuses to believe Christine could possibly do something like bite other kids because it's something a normal kid would do, and she can't accept that something that came from her is anything less than exceptional.
  11. The Vampire Diaries Review: Bites in The Big Apple

@M And that's under the assumption that curing the originator of the bloodline doesn't cure the entire bloodline along with it, in which case Katherine could probably kill Klaus without a problem, but she'd be a normal human again, and Katherine revels in being a undead bloodsucker.
  12. Bones Review: Three's Company

"And yet I fear that her defense of Sweets and their shared moment in the bone room is leading somewhere I would personally rather the writers didn't go--a reunion between Sweets and Daisy and a rekindling of their romance."

Miranda, we all know that's precisely where this is going, whether we like it or not. Pretty much every episode that Daisy has been in since the break up has had at least one scene with Sweets and Daisy that makes it obvious the writers are trying to ease them back together, and for the most part the two of them can't shut up about each other whenever both are in the episode. In fact, that's pretty much Daisy's purpose since the break up, she probably would have been kicked off the show entirely if weren't for this "will they or won't they?" dynamic Sweets and Daisy have.
  13. NCIS Review: 101 Uses for a Dead Mole

Nice to see a Palmer centered episode, though I was expecting Palmer to get killed off the entire episode because Plamer has hardly ever appeared in an episode for the last season or so, ever since he started getting married, and when he was there he didn't do much of anything. It was good to see Palmer featured promiently for once and actually contribute.
  14. The Vampire Diaries Review: The Five Stages of Grief

Oh yeah, and on top of everything else bringing all the supernaturals back would have allowed Kol and those other 2 originals who's names I can't remember at the moment to appear in the spinoff.
  15. The Vampire Diaries Review: The Five Stages of Grief

I think the writers missed a good opportunity here. Elena should have supported Bonnie's efforts to break down the limbo for Supernaturals. Why? It's because if Bonnie succeeded (that's if it isn't just a complete load like I suspect it is) then Kol and all the vampires that died as a result of Elena and Jeremy's killing of Kol a few episodes ago would have been brought back, and thus Elena would redeem herself in the eyes of the fanbase who are still whining about that. I suppose they still have the chance to do that though.

As for the 12 needing to be sacrificed, just have somebody turn 12 people into vampires and then kill them, then they'd be brought back along with everybody else.
  16. Bones Review: The Perfect Crime

Now that I think about it, I've seen signs that the writers are losing their touch ever since Booth and Bones became a real couple. It seems that they don't really know what to do with those two after they put together. They now lack the whole "we say we're not a couple but everybody knows we're lying" and finding ways to make that interesting and funny. Now they make them act like a cliched stereotypical couple that the writers stick into as many "these two REALLY love each other" lovely dovey scenes they possibly can instead of treating them like a real couple.
Oh yeah, I almost forgot. This was a decent enough episode I suppose, but I've come to expect far better than just decent from Bones and any show I like in general for that matter.
  17. Bones Review: The Perfect Crime

After that "have an entire episode from the perspective of the victim's skull for no reason" episode, things haven't been quite the same. The writers have been throwing earlier characterization and already established canon of the show out the window constantly the last few episodes in order to create drama, a sign that the writers are running out of worthwhile ideas. This is something that they have largely avoided doing since the show started. Bones would NEVER believe a near death experience is anything other than a dream, even for a moment. Bones would also never say something as stupid as "civilization is based upon rational thought" as an antropologist she knows damn that's not true. All we can do is hope is that the show will return to form soon, or it's going to die.
  18. The Vampire Diaries Review: Hitting the Mark

"The fact that we're not even sure why a vampire of Kol's age even bothered to risk pinning Elena to the wall shows that there's a weakness in the script."

@Marissa Didn't I explain this already? I said that Kol was obviously overconfident and screwing around, that's apparent because Kol was more than capable of killing or restraining them both before they even knew what hit them. He thought he was an all powerful immortal vampire and they were two helpless bugs he could take out whenever he felt like it, so he figured, why not torture them a bit? It's perfectly in character too, considering how sadistic and bloodthirsty Kol is. He had no idea they were planning to kill him and had the white oak stake necessary to do it. His overconfidence and sadistic tendancies got him killed by two people who otherwise wouldn't have stood a chance against him. As I said, that happens all the time in fiction AND real life. Art imitates life after all.
  19. The Vampire Diaries Review: Hitting the Mark

Oh yeah, one more thing. I sincerely hope that Bonnie (forcibly) telling her parents to back off and using the expression magic against them is just a sign that she's growing up, becoming independant, that she's tired of them and those spirit dicks ordering her around, and that whole "It doesn't matter what you use it for! Black magic and expression are evil!" thing is just a load of bulls#$@ so we don't have to deal with one of those corny "Evil Bonnie" storylines like Buffy's Willow's magic addiction and Dark Willow storylines. The last thing I want to see is Bonnie losing her newfound power and independance because of a "oh woe is me I got drunk with power and nearly destroyed the world and I'm SORRY! Boo Hoo!" That inevitably follows those kinds of storylines.
  20. The Vampire Diaries Review: Hitting the Mark

@daniel I would bet money that Shane's either lying, misinformed, or found that out from a bunch of texts that are trying to bulls%$t people into raising Silas when it comes to that "everybody that dies in Sila's name gets resurrected" plot point.
  21. The Vampire Diaries Review: Hitting the Mark

    2. "A NEWBIE VAMPIRE AND VAMPIRE HUNTER SHOULDN'T BE ABLE TO KILL A 1,000 YEAR OLD ORIGINAL!!! RAAAAAAGGGHHHH!!! STUPID LAZY WRITERS!!!"

And just why not? They had the stake, Kol was obviously overconfident and was screwing around the entire time, probably out of sadism and a belief that he was invincible. Thus, he wasn't careful enough and missed staking Elena when he had the chance (or pinned her to the wall intentionally, wanting to go back and torture her at bit later, it's unclear which) and then he was caught completely by surprise, sprayed with vervain-laced water and then staked. This time what's forgotten is the fact that it doesn't matter who you are, how old you are, or how powerful you are, both in real life and fiction, if you're in a fight and get caught by surprise and/or your opponent gets lucky, you can and probably will get dead, millenia old vampires are no exception.
  22. The Vampire Diaries Review: Hitting the Mark

The haters here seem to conveniently forgetting many things so they can justify their hatred.
    1. "ELENA IS SUPPOSED TO NEVER WANT TO KILL INNOCENTS EVER! KILLING KOL KILLED LOTS OF INNOCENTS! SO WRITERS ARE FULL OF IT!!!

Oh, and I suppose you forget the kind of situation these people happen to be in at the time? When Elena refused to allow innocent deaths in the past, there were ways to avoid it, at least as far as she knew. Here, if Elena and Jeremy didn't kill Kol, Kol would have killed Elena and chopped Jeremy's arms off, or compelled somebody else to kill Jeremy. Kol was going to stop at nothing to prevent Sila's return. That, and the fact that Klaus would have continued turning innocent people left and right and leading them to Jeremy for him to slaughter to complete the mark. In short, there was no magical third no innocents die option available this time.
  23. The Vampire Diaries Review: Compulsive Behavior

Overall though, I like this episode. It may have taken compulsion, but it was nice that Rebekah made Elena and Stefan sit down and for once HONESTLY talk about their feelings, now if only Rebekah had made Stefan finally admit that he doesn't really care about Elena or her feelings anymore, it would have been perfect.
  24. The Vampire Diaries Review: Compulsive Behavior

With each episode I'm becoming more and more convinced that Stefan isn't a loving boyfriend who just wants to grow old together with his girl and is really a clingy, jealousy driven, and controlling stalker that only wants to find the cure because he loves Elena only for whiny, clingy, weak, male dependent, token hostage, bratty child she was pre-vampirism, and can't learn to love her for stronger, more independent, and more grown up woman (in comparison) she's become post-vampirism, and this episode all but outright confirmed it.
  25. Person of Interest Review: Prison Break

this episode ended. POI usually manages to avoid being predictable, and up until now the writers had also avoided making the characters do incredibly idiotic things completely out of character just to be able to make the plot work. I liked this episode overall, but I hope it's ending is just a hiccip in POI's plot quality, rather than setting a trend the show will follow.
