The Mentalist Review: Tell No One

Some random thoughts/ queries after re-watching the season opener for the first time last night: 1. Can anyone make anything out of the address of the creep house Lisbon was lured to? There is a West Huron St in Lisbon's hometown Chicago (and a Huron St in Sacramento).
2. Partridge's face looked bruised and bloody, like he'd been beaten before he was butchered. Any significance? Lorelei had a black eye in the video. I don't remember RJ's other victims being beaten.
3. Right before Teresa was taken, she turned her flashlight & the camera rests for a moment on a grubby sink snd curtain she seems to be lookng at. Any possible significance? Or am I becoming paranoid looking for clues? (Latter most likely. Thanks Bruno.)
4. Teresa will no doubt be horrified by what has been done to her. Will it propel her to be more sympathetic to Jane's vengeance quest so she's willing to look the other way in the eventual RJ take down? Or maybe it'll turn her into a badass like Jane
On this one narrow point.

The Mentalist Review: Tell No One

@mimi yes, B Heller said that the first several episodes (presumably 8) take place almost in real time. They move along very quicky, focussing on RJ, with cases of the week thrown in. Then there is a sea change, a new arc, a new focus for Patrick and more opportunity for the characters to examine their lives and relationships. I am looking forward to finding out what he has planned for us post ep 8 almost more than the end of Red John. With fingers still firmly crossed for a 7th season of course. Always the optimist I am.

If The Mentalist was real life, publishing the list would be a horrible idea. It would ruin the lives of 6 ( now 5 ) innocent people. In that it is not real life and the 5 may not be so innocent, the resulting mayhem could be fun.

The Mentalist Round Table: "The Desert Rose"

@ani and @Entwife I have no idea what the explanation is. May be simple. May be twisted, labyrinthine. Either way, I keep returning to my own lazy starting point which is not to think too hard about it. Rather I am happy to sit back, put my faith in Bruno & Co, watch and be entertained by whatever they have cooked up for us. All executed beautifully by a magnificent cast and crew! They've done a stellar job of all of the heavy lifting to date :)

Like your idea @North Coast! What I really hope is not in that oven is any part of Dr Miller. Hi @mimi! Fun to get back at this with you and the gang. Has anyone heard from my province mate @bonaduz?? She still owes me dinner I'm pretty sure.

The Mentalist Round Table: "The Desert Rose"

Very interesting @entwife. Did some reading up on that. As an aside, even my very brief research reinforces that Blake premise, shared by The Mentalist, that evil and good are a duality (tyger and lamb, dark and light) existing in our world, not completely independently, and, happily, good is the one that always prevails. Here's hoping!

Hi @huisclothes. Nice to see your posts! I've always been a fan of Stiles as daddy John. Makes all kinds of sense. I really hope they were able to get Malcolm McDowell back for an episode or two. Even if he isn't RJ or his father, he is fun to watch.

The Mentalist Review: Poker Anyone?

I have been reading all of your posts over the past few weeks and really enjoying them. Big fan of TM and like all of you really hope this season is not the last. Just thought I'd weigh in on the 5x15 CTV promo: Is it possible Lisbon says "that's guessing" (not kissing)? That's how I heard it ....
