  1. The Vampire Diaries Season 4: Scoop from the Stars

When something doesnt make sense its normal to critique.
    THIS.

A work of fiction is created to be RECEIVED by audience. That reception can be objective and subjective, negative and positive. It won't always be positive.

Good writing quality gets a positive reaction. Thus shows like Breaking Bad, House or Once Upon A Time will life for a LOT of seasons.

Bad writing usually kills the kitsch shows fast. TVD is just taking longer because some people are still blindly defending it. However majority of more literate people realize - this is no longer tvd that they all began watching and loved.

This now is Heroes S3/S4 level of a mess.
  2. Once Upon a Time Round Table: "A Land Without Magic"

What are your general thoughts on season one?
Haven't enjoyed a genre show this much since Buffy. the season, if one looks to it overall has been PERFECTLY paced and every character was perfectly developed. There might be some minor gripes (they made latter parts of Snow/Charming too mellow, but that most likely will get fixed next season and they will be back at snarking), but overall Season One was full of great writing, awesome plot twists and memorable, well-developed characters, while at the same time not forgetting to set up future plotlines(skipping ahead in flashbacks, as well as whole Hat Trick hat room stuff).

I can only hope that S2 is as good as S1 was. Awesome show so far.
  3. Once Upon a Time Round Table: "A Land Without Magic"

Now that Snow and Charming remember who they are, will the realize who Emma is?
Considering writers have confirmed that they all retain both memory sets, I expect awkwardness.

Emma never really had parents. Meeting your birth parents as an orphan is quite traumatic experience. Snow and CHarming on other hand got ROBBED of seeing their child grow up. Lots of angst there, I expect.

The Huntsman was back for the last episode: sad reminder or awesome surprise?
I'd go with awesome surprise. I certainly hope that this show, unlike certain others, does not start reviving characters left and right. The best thing is that death is final and permanent. Once you lose that, the only road in quality is down...(example: Supernatural, Vampire Diaries, etc)
  4. Once Upon a Time Round Table: "A Land Without Magic"

What was your favorite scene in the season finale?
Can I say entire finale? Pleaase? NO? oh well. Most certainly Emma's book moment, Regina's "I do love you Henry", Emma fighting Maleficent AND the whole last 5 minutes of finale or so.

Were you surprised that the curse was broken this season?
Not really. The latest I expected it to happen was end/mid of S2. It was a logical progression of Emma's story.
  5. Will The Secret Circle Move to ABC Family?

Only if they change the writers. Also get Kevin WIlliamson as far away from this show as possible.

The show is too low in quality to be anywhere near ABC stuff as it is now, so if it gets taken by ABC-Family, I do hope for a LOT of fixing and changes in writing staff.
  6. Mark Hudis Promoted to Future True Blood Showrunner

Considering after the S4 the show can ONLY go up from where it is(hint: its quite down...not as bad as TVD, but still), this can be very good sign.

Honestly, hopefully with Ball gone, Mister BHEEEEEL won't be put into every and any plot line to ever exist.
  7. The Vampire Diaries Season 4: Scoop from the Stars

Maybe some day he'll have a real life and isn't a pathetic loser when he realities that the majority of fanbase gives no fuck about HIM!
considering majority of literate fanbase on this website feels exactly the same way as I do, this is hilarious. There's a reason why normal people do not use "we" in argumentation.
  8. The Vampire Diaries Season 4: Scoop from the Stars

. Everone knows that, with the exception of Buffy and the original Dracula, the vampire process is final because the person is technically dead.
    Buffy is not an exception.

There was total of two devamping situations. One required reality warping gods to interfere for a person to get "unvamped" and there was a huge universal price attached to that to the point that Angel backed out of the deal. For another case, Darla, yet again, universal level beings and huge consequences(not to mention that it was Darla-specific situation that would not have worked on anyone else).

Generally its impossible to "unvamp" someone since being vampire is what keeps a vampire alive. Thats what makes it MEANINGFUL.

Writers of TVD ALREADY took away any meaning from DEATH both with plot device tools and friggin afterlife ghosts. Now they will take away the meaning from turning too. The show is dead.
  9. The Vampire Diaries Season 4: Scoop from the Stars

Its taken three seasons for the writers to decide to turn Elena into a vampire, and there's already talk of writing in a storyline turning her back into a human.
    THIS SO MUCH

IF they had an idea of turning her back from vampire, they should have vamped her in the end of season one and spent s2 and three developing her. Then turning her into something else in season four would have been justifiable.

Now its just too damn little too damn late as no one cares about Elena anymore and there's no shock nor no intensity to this turning because we had DOZENS of turnings before. If it happened in the end of S1 and was the first(not counting vickie) turning we ever seen, it would have held an emotional significance and allowed them to develop Elena...now? Sorry, majority of fanbase gives no fucks about miss cardboard.
  10. The Vampire Diaries Leads Teen Choice Award Nominations

All I know is that from this list, OUAT deserves to win in all the cattegories it has been nominated in.

Choice TV Show: Drama - Revenge.
Choice TV Actor: Drama - David Boreanaz, Bones
Choice TV Actress: Drama - Emily VanCamp, Revenge(sorry SMG, was VERY hard to chose between you and EVC)
Choice TV Show: Fantasy/Sci-Fi - Once Upon a Time, no competition there.
Choice TV Actor: Fantasy/Sci-Fi - Joshua Jackson, Fringe
Choice TV Actress: Fantasy/Sci-Fi - Ginnifer Goodwin, Once Upon a Time(Frankly she deserves an EMMY for her role)
  11. Grimm Review: On My Mother's Side

I never had the impression that there was only one Grimm in the entire world at one time. I thought Aunt Marie said that Grimm abilities emerged at a certain age, and not in every Grimm. It's been inferred that the Grimms in Europe work for the "royal houses."
Yep itsbeen stated countless times that there are multiple grimm bloodlines all around the world going back to few thousand years back. Nick just happens to be a part of this bloodline.

Also it might be two per bloodline since, after all, you had TWO grimm brothers at once.
  12. Grimm Review: On My Mother's Side

I am not too sure on what to think on Juliette opening her eyes.

On one hand it might be because of what Adalind did and what Adalind wants.
On other hand it might be a side reaction Adalind did not guess would happen. We did see that there's something fishy about Juliette from time to time.

Hank on other hand is going paranoid. Hopefully he gets stuff explained to him and recovers. The very fact that he has no idea on what the hell did he see is what is driving him crazy.

overall a GREAT finale. Can't wait for S2.
  13. The Mentalist Review: A Wicked Game

So that goes back to my suspicions that either jane himself is red john (with some sort of multiple personality disorder) or that its lisbon or someone in that team.

I found something VERY Interesting this episode. The very last scene. Jane's behavior there. Lisbon was very uncomfortable with how he was tehre. And I agree.

Jane might have PRETENDED and all, but from all this little plan he did come a changed and darker man. THere's something very...different about him.
  14. Revenge Review: Mutually Assured Destruction

Great episode(especially loved Emily's emotionless "imsorry" speech to daniel, complete with eye-roll as well as Nolan calling her a sociopath)

All I can coherently say about it is...

Well congrats Nolan...your emotions might have just jeopardized everything Emily did and put everyone you care about including her in terrible danger.

And she will STILL most likely need to kill the white haired guy next week.
  15. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

if he saw the future, he would have seen that Pinocchio climbed in the wardrobe and would have known who August is, he would have seen Belle and that she was alive, and would have seen this world before he entered it,
August case was explained by august himself - Rumple wanted him to be bae so much that he ignored every warning he himself knew.

And Bae and Belle are connected to him. And in most of cases one can't see his own futures.

It has been alluded more than once that Rumple can see future.
  16. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

    Rumple never saw any future,
Erm, yes he did. He knew when to come to certain events, he knew he would be imprisoned by Cinderella, etc. In the first episode its outright stated that "he can see into the future".

Yes IT WAS his plan EVERYTHING WAS HIS PLAN down to one twin dieing and other having to take his place. The thing is that such a plan of centuries of length, would be impossible without seeing into future.

He saw the possibilities of future and he planned accordingly, so everything would fall into place exactly as he wants. There has not been even one event in this show he did not plan or foresee.
  17. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

I think love will eventually triumph in this show, if the creators can end it on their own terms. But I think both Regina and Gold will be vanquished, as a consequence. I can see both of them in the end, just as Voldemort was at the conclusion of the Harry Potter saga: shriveled souls completely alone and utterly miserable. A tragic end brought on by their refusal of love.
    can't see that.

Regina is clearly set up to have a redemption arc. Especially after the whole frienemies interaction with Emma this episode and getting demoted to secondary villain. She is essentially Emma's FOIL, sure, but this episode proved that she is not beyond redemption.
  18. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

    1. When Emma touched the book she got all those visions. Was that because what happened to Henry made it easier for her to believe in magic and the book was just a final step, or was it because this was actually the first time she held the book?
    The former.

Henry eating the pie and falling down was the pebble that broke the dam. She stopped denying and in that moment, book allowed her to see those memories.
  19. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

I agree with the blue fairy thing too. It would be silly for her to miss a chance of eliminating the Dark One curse and even giving up such a rare thing instead.
Or she wanted to manipulate Rumple into creating the curse to begin with :)
  20. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

Yes. and its quite interesting that Blue Fairy just conveniently failed to mention that other way of breaking Dark One curse to Bae :)
  21. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

also, i wonder, if true love's kiss can also be a kiss from a parent to their child or vice versa, wouldn't that mean that any fairytale character could have broken a curse by being kissed by their parent or child?
It had to be emma, since she is directly connected to the curse.

IT also explains why we have seen Huntsman/Graham regain his memories when they kissed. What happened in this episode was already starting then, but Graham died way before it could escalate, reverting Emma to more denial with his death.
  22. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

he really must have predicted it, like he was said to be able to in the pilot. but even then, how did he not see belle?
Because just like it is in most of cases in fairytales and myths and etc, he most likely CAN'T see his own future or those close to him. Thus Bae and Belle were shielded from his powers of seeing into future.

And yeh, everything seemed to be pre-planned, down to the cellphones ringing just as Regina and Emma are about to chase down Gold.
  23. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

Didn't it show the clock stuck at 8:15 again...
not stuck. the clock hit 8:15, bringing the season full circle as the whole deal of curse breaking started at 8:15. THis episode had a lot of book-end moments (henry waking up with a kiss just like show started with snow and charming, emma throwing a sword to maleficent just like charming did in pilot, etc).

I don't think Regina loves Henry - because she can't. If she did, then she could have kissed Henry and broken the curse, but she didn't even approach him.
For the kiss to work, the love must be mutual. Henry does not feel that way about regina, thus it would NOT work.
  24. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

Some people just keep bringing up that "Emma believed too fast".
    Disagree.

Emma's belief was gradual. She started the show in disbelief on all of these things and through the show we saw those glimpses of her going "what the hell" at stuff. By the 1x21 she was not disbelieving, she was actively trying to deny it all because of her own personality.

Henry's situation forced her to face up to it all because she had no choice of sitting around - because henry, the responsibility she is trying to take, became part of the responsibility she was trying to deny.

In a sense that is a parallel to Regina. Regina in a way chose Henry over the curse, working with Emma, etc. Emma, chose Henry over her own peace of mind, accepting the responsibilities she was running away from.
  25. Once Upon a Time Review: True Love's Kiss

Also, I agree I would have liked the happy family reunion (Charming, Snow, Emma and Henry). I hope next season catches up exactly right where we left off.
Frankly I doubt it will be that happy. There are bound to be issues and awkwardness between them all. Emma is their daughter they never saw growing up and they are her parents she never got chance to have.

Lots of issues to be worked out.
