The show has been on the roll since the start of S2, with each episode being stellar.
really interested in where they are taking Lydia's cahracter. This episode proved yet again that she might not exactly be human.
the new female werewolf is awesome. The show was really lacking female character numbers, so its nice to see yet another not-your-typical-girl being added to the list. The fact that she is quite attractive and reminiscent of Katie Cassidy is a big plus too. Really nice chemistry with the rest of the cast too.
Team Alpha so far seems to be like a concentrated mixture of badass and douchebaggery.
Speaking of douches....here i thought that I could not hate Argent family more...their treatment of Allison this episode proved me wrong.
overall GREAT episode.
think she should remember even after Willow returned to being herself there was a definite separation between her and the group
The thing is.. There was no "herself" BEFORE it. Willow was always about masking her emotions. She was always in pain, loathing her uselessness, etc, inside, but everyone around her failed to notice that. First she used the "mask" of nerdy calm girl to hide her inner turmoil, then magic and "hip college chick" thing. her going dark was everything she kept suppressed erupting. It was the first time she actually said exactly what she thought and how she felt.
so yeh, as much as her being a homicidal loony bin material was a roadblock for the friendship with everyone afterward, so was the real her, which nicely paralleled Buffy's own separation from the "group" as majority of them were unable to accept far less stellar and far less "heroic" real side of her she kept hidden from teh start behind the mask that kept falling apart with each tragedy.
And that's (almost) the whole last season in a nutshell.
Sadly yes. They wrote as they went along since mid-S2 when they changed entire storyline surrounding originals because "actor playing elijah was awesome". Plec has a strong case of actor bias, refusing to kill off any actors she likes(seriously, direct quote of her in S2 "Elijah was so awesome so we made him more and more unkillable" - is that a good way to write stuff?)
S3 however seemed like they had no fucking idea on what to do so we got 21 episodes of fillers till "big" "ELENA TURNS" moment which would have worked way better at the end of S1, since S3 and S2 added NOTHING AT ALL to elena's character and just made her even worse and more bland
Well at least Plec does seem to no longer pretend that what they are writing is original.
As for Bonnie. No sorry. Plec tried to do her version of Angel with Steffie, she FAILED MISERABLY. Anything Plec tried to rip off from BTVS, failed miserably.
Willow and her plotline worked PERFECTLY BECAUSE she was a VERy well developed character, with a lot of character development, interesting flawed personality and long, slow-burning, but awesome and consistent build up. Bonnie has none of these.
it only proves how you take this show and criticism too seriously.
This is most hilarious factor actually.
You hear people start their post with "Okay its just a show people" and then within the next sentence they start to rant and badmouth ANYONE with whom they disagree with.
Elena's annoying as hell, but I haven't given up hope yet. But what's with the "It's hopefully going to make her a badass"? You're the writer, Julie, even if YOU have to "hope" for her to become a badass, YOU AIN'T DOIN YA JOB RIGHT.
LOL, well thats because Plec writes on the fly. Coherence and planning are something she has not even heard of. hence the dozens of asspull moments in the show.
oooh and i think that borednow has more than one account!if you see asuka's comment is like he copy-paste a comment from borednow
Oh now this accusation is just pathetic. Clearly there can't be so many people disagreeing with the shit writing of the show that everyone must be one person!
feeling better now? :)
Revenge, hands down. Its nice to see a sort of conflict with emily and that despite her cold calculating nature she did have soft spot for Daniel and cared for her childhood memories with Jack. Still Emily/Revenge is the true OTP, but the triangle was great.
TVD? sorry, lol. Still can't see any triangle there. Not that I expected better from Twilight THe TV Show
They have so much material but ain't playing it at all.
THIS. They talk about it and its like the show we are seeing and the show they are talking about are two entirely different things.
I guess these writers just do NOT have talent to pull anything off. They keep talking about these great ideas and then they fall flat on their nose every season.
Season four sounds like it's going be worse than Season three.
Klaus not dead? CHECK.
Elena angsting about brothers being useless and pointless ? CHECK.
Damon and Steffie being unlikeable wimpy crybabies? CHECK.
Bonnie's "familY" comes in as plot devices? CHECK.
More pointless filler plot devices? CHECK.
This show ran out of steam. Something happened at the start of S2. And show never was the same afterward.
I don't know who Julie Plec is talking about but isn't Elena.
THIS SO MUCH. Elena can barely described because we have seen no personality nor character at all in her.
She had normal life to mourn? WHEN? WE NEVER SAW THAT.
She cared about people? Well sure we were told that, never saw that.
Sorry plec, too much focus on shitty triangle and random character deaths, not enough focus on characters.
