I was not really impressed with the introduction of the Red Team. But I want to like it and will give the new show a chance. I felt the same way about NCIS-LA when it first came on. I wanted so much to like it because I loved Chris and LL, but I had to force myself to watch it at first. I am glad I did because now it is my 2nd favorite show (NCIS is my 1st). Therefore, I would be willing to give Red a chance to prove itself too.
I agree on the great performances of Cote and Rocky, but I was also touched by Mark Harmon. Watching him waiting at the hospital, the look on his face as he waited for Leon and the compassion in his eyes when Leon told him Jackie was dead...if anyone can relate to losing the love of your life in a senseless death it is Gibbs.
Eric was wearing the polar bear pajamas when he had to rush to the office in the episode where we met Granger for the first time and he was wearing the spider man pajamas when he went to the warehouse where Sam found the CIA agent who had hung himself... loved when Callen and Sam realized they were standing under the mistletoe...lol
Merie has to die! I can't imagine Rick's group without Daryl and there is no way Rick would accept Merle, especially after what he did to Glen. I don't know what is going to happen with Andrea. I can't picture her being happy with Rick's group. She, like Merle, feels they abandoned her. And she never really liked Rick being in charge either. She would definitely bring disharmony and hard feelings with her.
Thursdays have become my second favorite night for television. (The first is Tuesdays and my NCIS, NCIS LA fix.) Person of Interest was my favorite new show last year and Elementary is definitely my favorite new show this season. Glad to have them back to back. Love the writing and acting of Elementary. Wasn't familiar with Jonny Lee Miller before this but definitely a fan now!
The one thing I don't understand about Sam and Amelia is him acting like and I believe saying that this was his first time at a normal life. He had a normal life with Jessica. I can't believe in the two years he was with her he didn't have things like a birthday cake. It is making the whole story line with Amelia seem off too me.
Phantom of the Opera does't surprise me that much...on an episode last season (I think it was last season) Deeks was the only one on the team that knew all about The Sound Of Music (other than Eric).
This has been the best episode to date...Glad no Taylor and glad obvious hostility was gone...good to see them all working together...not sure about the new female cop though...
Unfortunately, our local station decided they needed more commercials so they cut the show in two places. They completely cut the scene where Sam confronted Bobby/maid, and didn't start the segment until Cas was saying they needed a cat. They also cut the last scene where Crowley showed up to Sam after Dean and Cas disappeared. It only picked up where Crowley left with the prophet. Luckily I was able to go rewatch it online, but am disgusted that I missed that much of the show. When I was watching it last night all I could think is that the editor needs to be fired for the hatchet job they did. Soured the whole episode for me.
Awesome season finale to an excellent show. I can honestly say I have enjoyed each and every episode of this show immensely. Can't wait until next season!
@the dude ... Kate was killed off because the actress wanted off the show. She wanted to devote more time to her family. David McCallum just signed on for two more years...I think they are just going to have his character deal with the struggles of recovering from a heart attack next season. I honestly don't think they would kill off any of the characters unless the actor themselves wanted off. And in everything I have read or seen the actors on this show love it and each other and I don't see any of them leaving...
EW posted this question and answer about David McCallum (Ducky)on May 11th...
I know David McCallum just extended his contract with NCIS. Can we assume he’s safe in the season finale? — Carolyn
I’d say it’s a safe bet, but as EP Gary Glasberg told me, it doesn’t mean Ducky won’t face a whole other set of challenges in the season closer and beyond. “The fact that [McCallum] is committed to continuing on the show is wonderful for us, but it’s not going to keep us from trying things and surprising people. That’s true of any of the characters on the show,” he says. “We’re always interested in keeping things challenging and entertaining for them as actors, and we’re going to continue to push the envelope for them so they can continue to do some phenomenal work.”
@lizzie...I respect your opinion on the show, but I don't respect you criticizing other viewers because they don't think the show is perfect like you do. I am glad you think everything is perfect the way it is, but I am entitled to my views too. I don't tell you that how you feel is wrong, and you have no right to tell me I am wrong or to quit watching. I would appreciate it if you would keep your comments about the show and not on bashing other viewers who don't agree with you.
I am glad to see I am not the only one bothered by Adam and Kono. Not only did he tie her up but he also made several attempts on Steve's life last week. How can that not matter? He must be awfully good in bed for Kono to ignore everything that he has done.
I loved the first season because I felt the team really cared for each other but haven't seen that this season. They have become co-workers more than friends as a whole.
Although last night wasn't the best episode ever, I felt it tied things up and left me feeling...satisfied. I really do think Abigail is better for Marshall then Mary, and am glad Mary was able to understand that too and give him the room he needed to move on while still being friends. I am going to miss this show but am glad it was able to end with many things settled and people content where they were.
I enjoyed the episode, but for a show that has some of the most gruesome and gory scenes with bodies and body parts and blood etc, I was amazed at how clean looking the baby was fresh out of the womb! It just seemed really out of character for this show... Not complaining...just an observation...
