The spoilers have been reporting that Serena leaves and finds a new guy...Again.
Oh and cheers to Eric for summing up my feelings on the plots from this season...Please tell me that there's no more of that. But Connor Paolo is moving on too :( I'm going to miss that guy and shame on them for not giving him some real storylines before he leaves. Waste of a talent I say.
Honestly, I can't get behind any of the pairings going on now. Dan didn't really care all that much when Blair got engaged. Instead he's been after his ex girlfriend/step sister's cousin. Writing that made me realize how ridiculous THAT entire situation is...Then when Serena walked away last ep he had those "oh-I'm-not-over-her" eyes, again. Dan needs a cold shower more than anything...Although having Charlie say "Call me Serena" did the trick XD I loved the Nate/Dan interaction...It's been soooo long since those two had a proper conversation. I miss the Bromance :( Stupid Raina... The Thorpes need to get gone!!! Raina is boring and weepy. She brings Nate down. And keeps this damn storyline alive. Anything this season having to do with Bart's past seems to go belly up pretty fast. It's WAY to soapy for GG. As for the couples...I can't support any of them. They're all so ridiculous. Dan loves Blair but wait no he doesn't...He wants Charlie but hold the phone!! He actually loves Serena again. Dude is like a facet when it comes to her. Chuck loves Eva but nope, he love Blair but again he finds some random girl to sleep with and then fall in love with...Now she's doing his best friend and her CRAZY father is after the girl that he REALLY loves (for sure this time) and has her locked in a dirty room somewhere in Brooklyn. Which just happens to be Blair's worst nightmare...To die in Brooklyn. Meanwhile he faux French fiance (say that ten times fast) is waiting for her at her old high school. Because apparently Royalty goes to high school fundraisers now. And they not only attend but announce engagements there too. Do we not remember that Kate and William announced their engagement in their own country and at a palace? Not some high school thousands of miles away? I guess not. In reality, Blair would have been expected to grab the first plane out of New York to do things on their terms... Also, if Gossip Girl has a tracker on all these kids (although that to is stupid and impossible in a city of millions)wouldn't she make a big deal of Blair going to Chuck's new hotel, in the middle of the night...Without Chuck? Gossip Girl would at least report that Blair is missing from a party where she's going to announce her marriage to royalty. So to boil it down: Serena, Dan, and Charlie are caught in a crazy incest triangle. Nate's taking on Chuck's very sloppy seconds. Chuck throws down Blair two weeks ago and then is worried about her safety. Although he's the only one with a clue right now...There's no way Blair would purposely miss that unrealistic but important party. And Louis' wandering around chatting up his fiance's exes because in reality, he's known her for like a week. With his mother, the Princess Sophie on the look out for her bird buddy, Cyrus. The only light at the end of this twisted tunnel is oddly enough, the resident Princess of Darkness, the great Georgina Sparks. I'm so happy she's back, with a hapless husband in tow and lust for scheming. And words fail to describe my excitement. I hope the writers deliver on this one... After all the crap we viewers have been forced to watch this last season...The finale had better kick some serious ass.
@Keith Vlasak Quinn used to be one of my favorite characters last season, the process of dethroning a Queen Bee was interesting to watch and I did feel bad for her. But this season has her character in pieces. I have a lot of respect for Dianna Argon as an actress but consistent character development in writing makes a difference. That being said, I think Quinn's insistence on leaving Glee has more to do with his obvious feelings for Rachel rather than Jesse's involvement. But I think Jesse's going to bring out Finn's jealous side, prompting Quinn to react. Like at Prom. But as it's a promo, I could be wrong. That's just my guess based on the "Go Your Own Way" fiasco. Quinn has been given all sorts of chances to change...She either needs to do and become a little more likable or just let her be mean and leave it at that. This half way crap is just irritating me. Not to mention the justification of her behavior towards Rachel.
I tire of them redeeming Quinn with some bullshit emotional display just to have her be bitchy again the next week. She slaps Rachel, she apologizes but then in the promo she's trying to get Finn to quit Glee club...Leaving them two members short for New York, weeks before they're supposed to go. She doesn't change. If something life altering like having a baby still doesn't touch her, then there's no hope. And I'm tired of having her "vulnerability" thrown in my face, like I'm supposed to feel sorry for her. I did last season but I won't this time around. I hope she follows through on that transfer.
She needs to go...
Saw this coming...Even though Josh whats-his-name denied it. Poor Jessica Szhor hasn't been relevant on this show in a long, long time. Taylor Momsen hates that show. I think the turning point was when Tim Gunn attacked her.
Oh!!! I almost forgot. I loved those little Gossip Girl fans making an appearance... I swear its like they took what's by fans on the internet and have those two say it. Good usage of a fan base.
Things I loved about this Ep, -I love Cyrus :D And the Princess Bride reference thrown in there. Now if he had said "Inconceivable". I would have been on the floor. Cyrus Rose was the best thing to happen to those Waldorfs and he's been there more for Blair than her own father ever was. -I'm actually loving the Charlie storyline. It finally gives Serena something to do. And I loved the hurt look on her face when Dan didn't remember the dress she wore at Cotillion. And I loved the look on HIS face when he realized that Charlie was craaaazzzy. Charlie wanting to be exactly like Serena makes the whole "I'm-crazy-about-Dan-all-of-a-sudden" thing a bit more substantial. I'm looking forward to Charlie going all psycho on Serena too. I hope it ties in with Georgina's return. -Jack Bass' return. I was exactly surprised when he joined up with Chuck. I was expecting him to try to take advantage of Thorpe to screw over Chuck. I mean the man used his own mother against him for crying out loud! But it makes sense too, if Bart's name were to be tainted, so would his by association. -Eleanor getting jealous of Princess Sophie flirting with Cyrus and Cyrus having no idea. -Serena finally giving Blair a proper apology. Blair has done some mean things but only ever out of hurt. Serena's betrayal was random at best. -The return of Constance. Because when they left that place the storyline went to hell. Let's hope its appearance means better things to come for GG. THINGS I HATED: -The glossing over of Chuck's abuse. Oddly enough...Only Nate called him out on it. Everyone else just acted like it was Blair's fault because she's bad. Even Louis made her feel like that. That's when I was like...Nope, no more Team Blouis for me. Also Chuck didn't apologize. Not even a half assed one. Instead he was smug. And I HATE smugness. Team Chair I am NOT. - Also, Chuck really does need rehab.I'm tired of them making choking back scotch look suave. -Rufus had a purpose, now he's back to being a house pet :/ Bring back the plaid and waffles, PLEASE. (Never though I'd say that...) -The entire Thorpe storyline is STUPID. But Holy Shit, Russel trapping Blair on that roof was scary. Like I said, Blair needs to protect herself!!! She couldn't even text Serena to tell her where she was going? While in the cab?!! Gawd!!
Sez, thank you very much. You've said it all. I think Finn was unjustified for breaking up with Rachel but it's clear the boy's a mess. He took Quinn away from Sam because he didn't want to be cheated on anymore. He wanted to do the stealing this time. But clearly he still loves Rachel. He's confused about why he loves her when Quinn, the hot Queen Bee, is around. Obviously, the issue of beauty is going to come up again. Quinn is so consumed by it and Finn will see that. Finn had his head played with last year, its probably best for him to just take a break from relationships. As for the flirty song, Rachel hated what Quinn did to Finn. She's expressing how she feels. She's the only one on this show that isn't a liar. Although she did lie about losing her virginity, she eventually fessed up. And for what? So the rest of the Glee Club could laugh in her face about Satanna nabbing Finn's virginity when he promised they'd go through that together? Rachel wanted to hurt Finn the way he had hurt her, although they weren't together. And she owned up to it. Something Quinn has yet to do. Quinn is a bully. She bullies everyone around. She has no true friends. And she's not remorseful for anything she's done because she thinks being beautiful justifies it. I'm glad she loses Prom Queen. And I hope she has to honestly atone for her selfish and cruel ways. Slapping Rachel is disgusting behavior, I don't care how devastated she is about losing a plastic crown.
