I think the best Jess has ever been is in the season 1 episode "Jess and Julia." I definitely harped on the coat a bit much, but it just reminded me of a version of Jess that they write that is just a bit too cutesy for me. But I think they struck a pretty good balance in this episode.
I do read the comments! Saying Grace! Did not realize that. I think it's funny either way though. I'll make sure to correct that next time around.
I like who Simon and Beth represent, but I agree. I am not sure I absolutely need them in the show. But I'm invested in the direction of their storyline.
I'm certain Abby will insert herself somehow in the middle of that relationship in a pretty obvious, but still awesome, parallel to her character on Saving Grace. I love that The L.A. Complex is so aware of itself and is very willing to laugh at the industry.
Ok, so apparently I missed the whole "real gun" thing. My fault. Or perhaps it should have been made clearer? Either way, my complete lack of knowledge regarding guns doesn't help this either. Neither does being called a retard, Mike.
Regardless, not sure this real gun helps my theme, although it does create more mystery regarding House. Thanks for the correction, all.
