DAN did not want the book or story to come out. In fact, he prevented the short story to come out, remember? It was only like... 2 or 3 weeks ago, in the first episode I presume.
But there's only so much you can do. I mean, HE IS A WRITER. Do you even begin to understand how AWESOME it is that one of your books is going to be published? I couldn't blame him myself even if the book was based on me. Emphasize on the word BASED, since they don't actually name the character BLAIR. Ok ok, so it's Clair and maybe that was a bit underimaginative of him, I'll give you that. But still...
I don't know what's your life goal, but I bet you wouldn't let it be for a girl (or boy depending your likes) who is not your partner.
So... yeah, I think CHUCK IS A SCHMUCK but that is a completly different thing. I don't like Chair, because of him, because of what she's like WITH him, because is OLD, DONE and BORING. They were awesome as a teen LUST love, much needed to make contrast with DAN and SERENA's puppy love or even NATE and SERENA/BLAIR's puppy love. But it's over. IN MY OPINION.
So, no I don't just hate CHAIR because I hate CHUCK. I hate CHUCK because of what he is. And mainly I think CHAIR is boring for most of you guys (not you in particular, you made a valid point) but for the teens that use ciberspace just to say: "Ugggh Dair is disgusting. CHAIR ENDGAME" or "I WANT CHAIR"...
Come to think about it, MOST of CHAIR SHIPPER'S comments are like that. Not all, most. Dair, on the other hand has those silly comments, but check it out and you'll find out that most of them HAVE CONTENT.
I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just EXHAUSTING to read page after page and find stupid comment filling them up. If writers DO read what we write, I'm hoping at least they read the ones with real substance and not the preppy one-liners.

Still, the only thing going for me was that maybe Stefan did not switch his humanity off? I mean, I'm just GUESSING, but if I were him and Elena (aka human blood bag) was making stunts on the stair rail, I would get my vampass there as fast as my superspeed feet can get me. Take her by the arm and drag her to her house.
If he indeed lost his humanity, well... that's one lazy son of a ripper. He didn't change much. Bummer. I want him to KILL SOMEONE. Someone important. Kill Bonnie maybe. Kill... dunno, kill Matt, he's already all screwed up isn't he?
Well... Katherine dying or not was cool. It was an insteresting episode all in all. Now I'm craving for marshmellows, darn!
BTW, Damon... you can touch me ANYWHERE and it will still lead you to my heart (Awww, that WAS sweet, and kinda disgusting too, right?)

I mean, if that's the case, it's most surely DAN/SERENA... that will be their LAST KISS FOR THEM (for what I've indicated before on my previous posts), she will try to seduce him (very much like her character in the book) and he will see right trough it.

Gossip Girl Spoiler: The Kiss to End All Kisses ...
-DAIR KISS FROZEN. It was made clear by Dan that after that kiss, Blair "walked away, stunned" and left him alone. That would suspect that nothing else happened and let's face it, it's Blair... she wouldn't jump into bed with anyone, moreover if it's Serena's ex.
-ELEVATOR SCENE. On the last episode, we saw Blair texting Dan "COME OVER. NOW!" and we ASSUME that Dan did go, in fact after the fake Dair kiss, we hear the elevator and Blair looking at someone with a bit a displeasure. We can rule out Louis, Serena, Chuck and probably Dan. Since on the after scenes, we are presumed that these characters did not meet in a long period of time.
IF we want to speculate a bit more, we could assume that MAYBE Dan did go, and they had a conversation about maybe the kiss or the book, and plan a "Plausible deniability" (You know how big Blair is on them). Yet, that just... doesn't seem correct. She wouldn't had treated him so bad on the study room. Or would she?
I had read most of the comments (even CHAIRS) but most of them are just... I'm sorry, they are just SILLY. We are supposed to COMMENT, not add "I want Dair" // "Oh you all haters, everyone knows that CHAIR IS ENDGAME" and so on...
One of the -smart- comments suggested that Blair had a dream sequence. Maybe she dreams about her wedding and on the altar there's no Louis, but Dan or Chuck? And then she kisses that ONE and realize that she is meant to be with that person? We all know that much reliance Blair puts on her dreams.
Maybe it could be DAN/SERENA kissing followed by Dan turning her down. He's just NOT INTO SERENA ANYMORE. That ship has sailed... a long time ago. They were cute when they were teens and all, but there's just TOO MUCH DRAMA BETWEEN THEM (even too much for GG). They have different goals, Serena is more PARTY AND FUN while Dan is more SOULMATE kinda guy. They have different likes, they have a half brother together, their parents are married for God sakes!
I'm not against them, but I just don't think it will work... ever again. And if indeed that is a D/S kiss, it will be iniciated by Serena, Dan will know it's because of the book's rights and will turn her down. Not only because he will find it despicable, but also because he's very much into Blair and he will let her know that.
If it's a CHUCK/BLAIR kiss... I don't know, it wouldn't be EPIC at all. They've kissed million times, got back together and broke up even more times.. there's a reason why this two shouldn't be together. THEY JUST DON'T WORK. It shows her relationship on it's most pure nature: LUST. You can't build a life around it. It's fun, but you can't. And Blair wants to build a life. She may want it with Chuck, but she knows it would not work out, no matter how much he has grown.
I DO LIKE DAIR (I liked Chair when they were teens, but not anymore)... I've said it before on another post: I CAN SEE DAN AND BLAIR bringing the best of each other and also sharing a life together. It's more suitable. He may not be upper east side material, but that's what she needs.
I think even tough Blair is very much into scheaming and stuff, she has grown up and sees it as a fun hobbie, not a lifestyle anymore. That's why she and Dan are great, they are past that (Dan actually never liked it to begin with) and help each other out.
I don't like the kinda woman Blair is around Chuck. She is always underestimated, in the need to be POWERFULL in order to be with someone that, otherwise, may not love her. Having to endure all sort of crap from him and Chuck not being there when she needs him.
To end it, so it's not THAT LONG, I want the kiss to be DAIR/BLAIR, and if there's an ENDGAME (you know how I feel about that word) if hope it's these two.

I agree with almost everything in here except for the CHAIR situation. They need to move along, they're causing traffic on rush hour.
I think DAN and BLAIR are awesome together. Call me crazy, but I can totally see the two hanging out at the movies, holding hands or maybe staying in bed on a lazy sunday morning. I can actually picture them having kids.
I know, I know... GET A LIFE! But I think so, sorry.
Gossip Girl Review: From the Inside, On the Outs
I just cannot get a grip on everyone! Can't they tell it's fiction? As a writer myself, I can tell you that people get very susceptible when being wrote about. However, it's the way his (Dan's) character saw things, and inspite of all the truth or not, a book -a fiction book- has to be INTERESTING.
SERENA: I liked how motivated she is at her job, I did not like how she tought she would be portrayed as a proof of "growth" or else. She showed, yet once again, that she can be very inmature. Quite a lot, to be perfectly clear. Yet, I can get where she comes from... she should have tought it trough, tough. She should have SINK INTO the fact that she actually WAS that person for a long time. And you can't just undo the things you've done in your life. A 20 year-old woman should embrace her mistakes and move on. Not make a scene of it.
CHUCK: I actually liked him in this episode. I guess that maybe because he ALREADY knew about the book, read it and never really was a close friend with Dan, that he could see things from a different perspective. All in all, that was regarding DAN. I think he was, out of the bunch, the one that used his fictional character in a good way, and instead of criticize he did a bit of a instropective search. I liked it. It was raw, it was real. I still don't think he and Blair should be together.
BLAIR: Unlike Serena's, I tought her anger was totally justified. Dan did write something that didn't happen. She could not have foreseen it. The DAIR KISS (even tough I KNOW IT WAS FICTION) was great, because it showed us an inch of passion between Blair and Dan. And most important: HOW MUCH DAN IS WANTING IT. Where there's a will, there's a way I've been told. The whole Chuck scene was more like friends to me, she is right now, very much into Louis (whether is because of a fairytale or real love I do not know), but I kinda believe he is the father of her child. Maybe not, Blair can be really in denial for this kind of things -enter season 1 pregnancy scare-.
I do want DAIR to happen, I think it would be a great couple, and yes, feel free to curse me all you want, but if there's an "end game" (I still loath that term) I hope it can be DAN-BLAIR.
Chair is a great lust/love/hate relationship.
Blouis is material for a perfect XXI century fairytale.
Dair, however (to me), makes a great couple: they share interest, bring the best of each other, they completly TRUST each other and kinda complement. He knows her, mostly. He has been her friend and foe, he did not hurt her (on purpose) since he found that he had feelings for her, and actually does not try to change her, but tries to make her grow. The same thing Serena said Dan helped her do with her.
NATE AND THE REST: Most of them useless. Except for Rufus. Poor man! I had to give it to him, he found out what EVERYONE (in fiction and in real life) think of him by his son's writting. Still a bit harsh.
All in all, as I said it before: LOVED THE EPISODE. Actually kinda liking this season so far. It's been a long time since I wanted an episode about Dan.

Just let the characters be. If I wanted to watch a soap opera, I would change the channel.
It's my opinion tough, Chair fans are more than welcome to have theirs.
I'm still hoping for DAIR to happen and to be the "endgame" (another word I hate)
PS: Loved B's dress on the fashion show too... and Leighton rocks the character, kudos to her!
