I will miss this show, and am so glad it ended with the family together and Aaron finally restored his faith in himself. I hope he runs into his wife along the way. Can't wait for the next season.
Let's not be too hasty about the unimportance of Ashley. Remember the old cliche of the silent butler? Why is she sticking around a thankless job, with no hopes of an advantage? From where were she and Emily such good friends? Emily seems defeated for a simple ethical reason, that "revenge" should not be such a good thing, as Nolan is now hinting. The audience needs to be led that vengeance should really not be supported. But, Emily will still win as a heroine, and not as vengeful person.
